  1. Anti sikh propaganda will be halted for the time being. There will be lull till anti sikh forces ropes in another rogue character like him.
  2. Is it editing or noting opinion. I am not sure about panth parkash but Bhai sahib spent 14 years studying Suraj parakash of Bhai Santokh singh ji. He did not edit it but gave his opinion as footnote. I am not sure about panth parkash.
  3. It has been gathered that Ragi Darshan Singh has been asked to appear at akal takhat on Dec 5 to clarify his position on blasphemic utterances against Guru gobind singh ji.Gurudwaras are instructed not to allow him stage till that. Our special thanks to Gurucharanjit Singh Lamba for highlighting Ragi's blasphemic speeches and JUS Punjabi TV for giving platform to rein this drunken elephant. Many thanks to Gurusikhs who contributed. Mubarak to gursikhs.
  4. To become a khalsa is a must for a sikh. This was proved by Guru ji when Dalla asked for deliverance and place near Guru sahib after leaving this world. guru sahib told that since he was not Amritdhari sikh hence it is not possible to assign this to dalla. helping humanity at large should not be considered as lowering rehat for a sikh.
  5. This shows traditions prevail in the end. Moderates are basically communists who were backed by heretics led by kala afghana sect. When this sect held mini sarbat khalsa at Mohali after excommunication of kala afghana first thing hardev shergill did was to cancel Hukamnama of akal takht that had excommunicated these moderates. They held this gurudwara for 10 years calling traditional sikhs as tappar dharis( term used for those who took langar while seated on floor). This also shows it is truth that prevails in the end.I am glad that Gursikhs born and brought up in canada have come at helm of affairs. They will promote Gurmat and wean away misled youth away from drugs.
  6. Yes, it should apply to whole humanity. Khalsa is a humble servant of whole humanity especially those who are underprivileged and poor.
  7. THis is from Dasam granth befoere shashtar nam mala. Guru sahib had once arranged a langar and whosoever came ate langar isrrespective who should be fed first.Brahmins came to know about this and they protested saying that it is their right to have food first. This is addressed to Brahmins meaning that they do not hold special status. my sikhs are first and foremost to me. The ultterance from the holy mouth of the Tenth King : ਸ੍ਵੈਯਾ ॥ O friend ! whatever the providence has recorded, it will surely happen, therefore, forsake your sorrow; there is no fault of mine in this; I had only forgotten (to serve you earlier); do not get enraged on my error; I shall surely cause to send the quilt, bed etc. as religious gift; do not be anxious about that, the Kshatriyas had been performing the jobs for the Brahmins; now be kind to them, looking towards them.1. By the kindness of these Sikhs, I have conquered the wars and also by their kindness, I have bestowed charities; by their kindness the clusters on sins have been destroyed and by their kindness my house is full of wealth and materials; By their kindness I have received education and by their kindness all my enemies have been destroyed; by their kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there kindness I have been greatly adorned, otherwise there are crores of humble person like me.2. I like to serve them and my mind is not pleased to serve others; the charities bestowed on them are really good and the charities given to others do not appear to be nice; The charities bestowed on them will bear fruit in future and the charities given to others in the world are unsavoury in front of donation given to them; in my house, my mind, my body, my wealth and even my head everything belongs to them.3. Just as the straws while burning in ire are flabbergasted, in the same way, the Brahmin got enraged in his mind and thinking about his means of sustenance, he wept.4.
  8. Dasam Granth is a complex Granth. The subject charitras 21,22 and 23 are from Chariropakhayan. Pakhayan means stories that come out from existing stories. In other words these are stories that already exist in skelton form and are being retold. In the beginning of charitropakhayan Guru sahib writes " Ath sri charitopakhayan likhayte" (Now i am writing character stories that are already exsiting.") The second most important thing to know is that these stories are being recited to a King Chittar singh of an ancient era by his minister. That is obvious when one reads charitra two.So it has nothing to do with Guru period.Hence it is a mistake to connect these to Guru sahib's life.
  9. They started with casting doubts on Dasam Granth bani. Spokesman was their leader in this war of propaganda aimed at confusing sikhs and get their faith broken in their scriptures. That was an excercise to make pitch for their real designs . They were joined by others such as Ragi darshan and Harjinder Dilgeer. Now they have started attacking Sri Guru Granth sahib ji and our Gurus. This atatck is also led by spokesman supported by so called sikh missionaries. It is all over the net. http://www.panthic.org/articles/5169 SELF-STYLED KHALISTANI HERETIC CONTINUES TO SPEW KALA-AFGHANI VENOM PANTHIC.ORG Published on November 6, 2009 TORONTO, CANADA - The self-styled Khalistani and Kala-Afghani protégé, Harjinder Singh Dilgeer, has again become the center of controversy due to his anti-Panthic tirades on various Punjabi radio talk-shows, in which he has repeatedly attacked the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and the legitimacy of Nitnem and Amrit Sanchar Banis. Dilgeer was invited to Canada to speak at a 1984 related function organized at the 'Sikh Lehar Center" by the pro-Kala Afghani heretic lobby in Toronto. Before the weekend function, Dilgeer went on various Punjabi radio talk-show programs in which he ridiculed the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and spewed venomous statements against the sacred Bani of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. 5169_Dilgeer_at_KAJ Dilgeer addressing other heretics at the Kala-Afghani Sikh Lehr Center Following are some extracts of Dilgeer's interview on Radio Hamsafar which aired on October, 26th of 2009 : Dilgeer attempts to belittle the authority of Sri Akal Takht's HukamNamas, and alleges that anyone who obeys the order of Sri Akal Takht's HukamNamas is breaking away from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (click to listen) Note: Contrary to his current stand, Dilgeer in his 'Sikh Reference Book' (1997) states that "The Hukamnama of Akal Takht Sahib is final and binding for each and every Sikh. None dare defy it." Dilgeer states that 1402 pages of Sri Dasam Granth is 'gand-mand' (filthy trash). (click to listen) Note: Dilgeer is stating that banis such as ਵਾਰ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਭਗਉਤੀ ਜੀ ਕੀ (which is part of the Sikh Ardaas), Shashtarnaamala, Zafarnama, and ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮੁਖਵਾਕ such as ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਲ ਮੁਰੀਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਣਾ, ਰੇ ਮਨ ਐਸੋ ਕਰ ਸੰਨਿਆਸਾ , etc is all filthy-trash or anti-Gurmat content. Dilgeer also seems to makes a distinction between Swaiyya and Akal Ustat, and does not realize that the Swaiyya are actually part of the Akal Ustat. Dilgeer claims that 90% of Dasam Granth is against the ideals in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and the rest of the 10% is anti-Gurmat. He then ridicules the bani of BachitarNatak. (click to listen) Note: Dilgeer in his 'Sikh Reference Book' (1997) states that "Bachitar Natak- is the name of the poetic drama written by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ." Now Dilgeer claims that Dasam Granth is not Guru Rachna, and only a translation. (click to listen) Note: Dilgeer in his 'Sikh Reference Book' (1997) clearly states that Dasam Granth was a rachna of Guru Gobind Singh, and even noting the dates when some of the contents were completed. Dilgeer misquotes and misrepresents the Charritars 21,22, and 23 of Roop/Anoop Koer . He states that those who believe that Dasam Granth is Guru Sahib's Bani are ਪਾਪੀ (sinners) and ਮੁਜ਼ਰਮ (criminals). (click to listen) Note: Dilgeer, like Ragi Darshan Singh is intentionally misrepresenting the charittars of Roop Koer or Noop Koer. This charriters are not about Guru Gobind Singh Ji as these heretics claim, this is explained in detail by Sridar Kapur Singh IAS (National Professor of Sikhism) in his article (ਕਿੱਸਾ ਰੂਪ ਕੌਰ ਦਾ) : http://www.panthic.org/articles/3873 Dilgeer claims that no scholar or leader has read Dasam Granth, if they have and state it is Guru Sahib's rachna, then they are a ਮੁਜ਼ਰਮ or ਦੋਖੀ of the Guru. (click to listen) Note: Dilgeers seems be implying all Gursikhs who believed in Sri Dasam Granth in the past were ਮੁਜ਼ਰਮ or ਦੋਖੀ, this includes GurSikhs such as Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Ji, Kavi Santokh Singh Ji, Giani Gian Singh Ji, Giani Ditt Singh Ji, Akali Kaur Singh Ji, Bhai Randhir Singh Ji, Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha, Prof. Sahib Singh Ji, Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhinderan, Prof. Piara Singh Padam, and countless other scholars and Shaheeds who lived and died believing in Sri Dasam Bani. Dilgeer suggests that Sri Akal Takht HukamNamas are anti-Gurmat and should be ignored, and not followed. He openly states that all Sikhs should defy any order from Sri Akal Takht, and gives Spokesman editor as an example. (click to listen) Note: Dilgeer proudly boasts that his 'friend' Joginder Sahwney has defied the HukamNamas of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, and others should do the same. In a recent revelation, Surinder Kaur Nihal, an ex-admirer of the Spokesman editor, went public to disclose the warped views of the ex-communicated newspaper heretic. According to her public statements, Sahwney stated that: 'ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਗੱਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਗੱਦੀ ਚਲਾਉਣੀ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ।' "Guru Nanak did not bestow Gurgaddi to anyone, because He did not want to pass on the gaddi to anyone after him." 'ਮੈਂ ਬਾਬੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਵਾ ਬਾਕੀ ਨੌਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ (ਭਾਵ ਬਾਕੀ ਨੌ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ) ।' "Besides Baba Nanak, I do not believe in the rest of the nine (Gurus Sahibans)" ਸ੍ਰ:ਜੋਗਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਨੌ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਮਾਰਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਲਟਾ ਸਵਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਨੌਆਂ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਹੋਂਦ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੈ । "Creating a distinction between Guru Nanak Dev Sahib and the nine Guru Sahibans, Joginder Singh asked, "What proof do you have about the existence of the other nine Gurus?" 3641_Main The first statements by Sahwney were made at the bhog ceremony of Dilgeer's mother at Sector 46 Gurdwara in Chandigarh on May 17th, 2009. The fact that not only did Dilgeer allow Sahwney to make such offending remarks at his mother's bhog, and never clarified or apologized for them proves he must also agree with Sahwney's twisted mindset. He continues to work for Sahwney and publishes his works in the daily column of the Spokesman. Below are extracts of the public statements made by Surinder Kaur of Mohali: 5169_SpokesmanEditor_quotedby_SurinderKaurMohali Rangla Punjab Radio Interview: Dilgeer raises doubts about the events of the 1699 Amrit-Sanchar Ceremony. Claims that Guru Gobind Singh Ji never took Pahul (Amrit) from the Panj Piyaray. Alleges if Guru Gobind Singh Ji took Amrit he would then have been a 'un-AmritDhari. He also questions the authenticity of verses of the Panthic Parvanat Ardas. States the source of ' in the Sikh Ardaas tuks are unknown. (click to listen) Note: It is common knowledge that the tuks written by Sri Dasam Patshah in his rachna . To doubt it, is a direct attack on the foundations of Sikhi. The above examples of blasphemy should leave no doubt that l ike loyal protégés, both Dilgeer and the Ragi are parroting the same ideology of the heretic Gurbakhsh Kala-Afghana, who was ex-communicated from the Sikh Panth in 2003. In the footsteps of Kala-Afghana, both the Ragi and Dilgeer have openly questioned the validity of the sacred Banis of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the Nitnem Banis. While several Gurmattas and HukamaNamas have been issued from Sri Akal Takht Sahib strictly forbidding such criticism, this "shararteee ansar" (mischievous elements) as the Takht refers to them, continue to rake up the controversy on behest of others. Like Ragi, Dilgeer also considered himself a Khalistani back in the 1980, and 1990s. He claims to have been part of the "inner circle" of the All India Sikh Students Federation, and the early days of the Dal Khalsa. Interestingly, both Ragi and Dilgeer, promoted the Bani of Sri Dasam Granth throughout those turbulent decades. Countless CDs and cassettes of the Ragi were released in which he recited hymns from Bachittar Natak, Krishanavtar, and Ramavtar. Now that era is over, they are looking for better pastures and opportunities to line their pockets. Perhaps the agencies who planted these naastic-moles in the Panth two decades ago are finally reaping their rewards. (Audio files courtesy of Radio Hamsafar and Rangla Punjab Radio)

  11. Mithar ji he will not be an exception. It has spread in Punjab and three papers covered the news. These are Ajit Jalandhar Punjabi tribune Jagbani May be it is late start but akal takhat will most probably intervene.
  12. Sant Samaj brands Darshan as Akirtghan (ungrateful), Guru Nindak, and one who changes color with time. http://www.ajitjalandhar.com/20091112/ On left column click on Punjab and then scroll down.
  13. matheen They were close to each other. in fact there was a rumour that Nihal singh ji will take over leadership of sikh struggle after Sant ji had died. But Baba ji was arrested and severly tortured.
  14. When people run out of arguement they forward such excuses. It is you who fabricates stories to defame respected sect of sikhs that command wide respect among sikhs. To say that Nihungs did not contribute in struggle of 1984 is sheer nonsense of an ignorant mind. This also shows the writer is either misinformed, does not know about sikh affairs or has an agenda. When attack on Darbar sahib was enacted a curfew was clamped on Amritsar. Press dometic as well as foreign was banned. So there was hardly any documented news to tell of horrible tragedy that took place there. But we have local knowledge about what happened there. Baba Nihal singh harianwela is a leader of Trana dal Nihung sikhs. After Sant Bhindrewale( I am yet to hear any appreciation for Sant ji from this character) was eliminated Baba Nihal singh was caught and was asked to modify his views. Baba ji was very close to sant Bhindrewale. Baba ji refused to budge. he was severely tortured and remained for a long stint in jail. There is another Nihung Jathebandi known as Baba Bidhi chand Nihung sikhs. They are led by Baba Dya singh ji and are headquartered at Sur singh Jhabal near Amritsar. When Golden temple was encircled Baba ji set out with his followers to Golden temple to assist singhs trapped inside. His followers were strafed by helicopter gunships and scores wee killed. baba ji is still alive. I wonder how can someone who calls himself a sikh follows an agenda to spread lies about a respected sect of sikhs.
  15. Some have a tendency to read sikh history through colored lenses. They are inclined to believe more what is written by foreign employees of Maharaja ranjit singh. I have some books of such employees with me. Most of them paint very negative picture about sikh rule in general. So their writings are to not be taken seriously as they indulge in character vilification of sikhs in general and saintly figures in particular. They have a different perspective of life as for as religion is concerned.
  16. It is not unsubstantiated. get aquainted with sikh history and you will get enlightenment.Have you read the battle of Attock. If not read it to know the valour of Guru kian ladlian faujan.
  17. Dal khalsa were Nihungs. Nawab kapur singh is an example of that.If someone says that nihungs did not fight against Moghals or british he has an agenda here. I suggest to them go and search British india library archives especially illustrated London news of 1846 that mentions extensively about Nihungs contributioin to sikh army. I have a couple of collections of this newspaper.
  18. RAGI AND DILGEER - PROVOKE, MISLEAD, CONFUSE AND DESTROY PANTHIC.ORG Published on November 6, 2009 Posted Image Rogue Khalistanis : Dilgeer and Ragi In the 1980s and 1990s, Ragi Darshan Singh and Harjinder Singh Dilgeer, classified themselves as genuine servants of the Sikh Panth, they openly promoted and patronized the Sikh Nationalists, and in return reaped countless monetary rewards from the community through the commercial sale of their books and cassettes containing militant sermons and views - their rewards for provoking the emotions of the youth. The Ragi, who at one time served as the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, openly provoked and instigated the Sikh youth to rebel against the central government. During that turbulent time thousands died, many were imprisoned and tortured; others simply disappeared never to be heard from again. Twenty years ago, Ragi stoked the fires of Sikh Nationalism by mixing his sermons with martial verses of the Dasam Granth. Today, the Ragi, has done an about face, openly despising the very hymns of Gurbani from which he had made his livelihood from. Instead of a rebellion against the government, he now wants to incite a battle against the ideals of Sri Akal Takht and Miri-Piri - the very things that had brought him into the limelight in the first place. Harjinder Singh Dilgeer's story is not much different. This self-styled scholar, claims to be one of the founding members of the Dal Khalsa outfit, and has worked for the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in the last decade. Like the Ragi, he too stoked the emotions of the Sikh community during the 1980s and 1990s. He wrote books such as : Khalistan Di Twarikh, Sikh Hijackers, Kharhkoo Lekh, Jujharu Kalaam, Sikh Jujharvaad, all based on Sikh Nationalism, and Kharkoo ideology. In 1997, he published the 'Sikh Reference Book', which he presents as an encyclopedia of Sikh culture, literature, polity, theology, and history. Incidentally, the very ideas and facts he penned in the Reference Book, he would later upturn in his later works. In 2009, Dilgeer published the controversial five volume "Sikh Twareekh." While the author claims it to be the most complete and authoritative reference on Sikh History - critics have condemned it as an intentional distortion of historical facts and ideology. His current works condemn many central concepts in Sikhi and present a warped view of the Sikh history as well as question well established accounts related to life history of the Guru Sahibans. Due to his latest work, Dilgeer, was recently banned by the European Sikh community for his heretic views, see: Pro-Kala Afghana Writer Harjinder Dilgeer Banned by European Sikh Sangat. In his latest writings, Dilgeer rakes up further controversy by: • Claiming Guru Gobind Singh Ji never took Khanday-battay-da-Amrit from the Panth Piyaray, negating the concept of "ਆਪੇ ਗੁਰੁ ਚੇਲਾ". • Dismissing the historical fact that Guru Arjan Dev Ji was were never martyred on a "ਤੱਤੀ ਤਵੀ" • Dismissing the historical fact connected to Panjokhra Sahib regarding Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji blessing Chajju the water carrier to recite the Gita. • Dismissing the historical fact of Guru Nanak Dev Ji's rotation of the Kabba at Mecca. • Dismissing the historical fact of Guru Tegh Buhadur Sahib saving Makhan Shah Lubana's merchant ship from sinking. Despite the various HukamNamas from Sri Akal Takht Sahib forbidding the criticism of Sri Dasam Granth, Dilgeer has openly attacked the Holy Granth calling it 'gand-mandh' (filthy-trash.) Posted Image Interestingly, Dilgeer in 'The Sikh Reference Book', which he published just back in 1997, attributes Sri Dasam Granth to Guru Gobind Singh Ji clearly on multiple occasions and cites the very sakhis he now condemns: Shaheedi Guru Arjan Dev Ji - "Guru Sahib was seated on red-hot plates. Burning sand was poured on his head. This continued for three days." (p. 238, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) Panjokhra - "It is here that Bhai Chhajju Jhiwar humbled a learned Pandit Lala Chand, by paraphrasing Bhagwadgita, in an intellectual style." (p. 211, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) Regarding Chandi-di-vaar and Bachitar Natak, Dilgeer states: "Benati Chaupai. It is a composition of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. The main theme of this hymn is to invoke the Almighty to seek his Grace and Blessing for protection in every sphere of life." (p. 72, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) "Chandi di Vaar, written by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib…the theme of this ballad is a war between "good' and "evil"….written in a style that one who listens to it (will) become ready to participate in the battle for righteousness. Chandi di Vaar presents the chivalry of valiant fighters who are ever-ready to sacrifice their lives for righteousness." (p. 72, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) "Bachitar Natak (literally 'play marvelous') is the name of the poetic drama written by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib." (p. 69, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) Regarding Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Dilgeer states: "Akal Takht Sahib is the supreme-most seat of authority for the Sikh nation…a Sikh has an obligation to accept the command of the Throne of the Almighty only. The Hukamnama of Akal Takht Sahib is final and binding for each and every Sikh. None dare defy it. One who shows his back to Akal Takht Sahib is excommunicated from the Sikh Panth (nation)" (pp. 87-88, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) "HukamaNama - Akal Takht Sahib's verdicts, in the cases of the petitions made by individuals, are also known as HukamaNama…" (p. 91, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) "HukamaNama - When it is issued, in a proper manner, is binding on the whole Sikh nation." (p. 91, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) In the chronology section of the book, Dilgeer even goes as far as noting the exact dates when certain Banis of Sri Dasam Granth were completed: 24.7.1688 Guru Sahib completed writing Krishnaavtar (p. 658, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) 25.8.1696 Guru Sahib completed his book Charitropakhiyan (p. 658, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) 14.6.1698 Guru Sahib completed writing of Ramavtar (p. 658, Dilgeer, Sikh Reference Book, 1997) Twenty-five years ago, Ragi and Dilgeer both believed that Sri Dasam Granth was Guru Sahib's rachna, now they condemns it. What could be behind this troubling pattern of heresy by these leaders? Twenty-five years ago, the Indian Government destroyed or looted countless irreplaceable manuscripts from the Sikh Reference Library, never to be seen again. Twenty-five years later, our history and respected traditions are being challenged, distorted, and revised by these turncoat leeches. Perhaps this was the plan all along - only time will tell. 19. Nihung singhs are true sikhs of guru who were the backbone of sikhs when panth was struggling for survival. They made immense sacrifices for sikh panth and are singhs of charhdi kala.
  20. I did some research about so called singhsabhcanada on the internet. In reality it is a one man organization headed by Gurucharan singh Jeonwala. His main work is to conduct anti sikh propaganda. They have taken this appealing name to confuse and hoodwink sikhs. In 2006 he was promoting Inder Ghagha who wrote a book " Sada Bera aiyon garkia". He passed slanderous remarks about Guru nanak dev ji and Guru Arjan Dev ji in that book. There were protests in Canada when he went there at the invitation of Singhsabha canada. Akal takhat took notice of that and excommunicated these gurnindaks. So it is an excommunicated anti sikh organization. Their main work is to discredit sikh scriptures and sikh Gurus. We should not be taken in by its misleading name. Below is a news source for that. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2006/20061023/punjab1.htm Sikh missionary excommunicated for blasphemous writings Varinder Walia Tribune News Service Amritsar, October 22 Taking strong and suo-moto exception to the alleged blasphemous writings and statements by Prof Inder Singh Ghagha, an alumnus of Sikh Missionary College, Ludhiana, Akal Takht today directed the Sikh sangat to stop him forthwith from carrying out his religious activities all over the world. In a directive issued on the letter head of Akal Takht, the Jathedar also took similar action against Prof Ghagha's associates, including Mr Gurcharan Singh Jeeonwala, Mr Manjit Singh Sahota, Mr Karamjit Singh Gill, Mr Amandeep Singh Kang, Mr Gurmit Singh , Mr Parminder Singh Parmar, Mr Jasbir Singh Mangat and their associates. The development is considered unprecedented since Prof Ghagga and his associates were not given an opportunity to clarify their respective positions. Finding the remarks too obnoxious, the Akal Takhat this time directed the Sikhs not to allow Prof Ghagha and his associates to speak from any gurdwara or panthak stage. Earlier, one Bhag Singh of Ambala was also excommunicated on the same grounds for writing against 'benati choupai' and 'ardas'.
