  1. Aham = "I" kaar = "maker".Ahamkar or ahankar means "I-maker".It is that part of our psyche which promotes seperateness of being. The reason why Gurbani is against it, is because ahankar-sense only causes suffering.Though ahankar thinks it is in the pursuit of pleasure, it in fact only traps it's self in pain and suffering of it's own making. Through Sri Guru Granth Sahib, a person can transcend this state into real Sukh, real Anand of Vahiguru. In Gurbani, ahankar usually is written as Haumai or Hau.Haumai means "I" or "Me".Me-me-me.Mine-mine-mine.My this, my that... "Haumai is a destructive disease, but there is a remedy. The Word of the Guru can be practised by the Grace of the Lord" (SGGS, M1, p.466)
  2. J.Singh Ji, it's nice of you to upload the Chandi di Var, but the Chandi di Var Kirtan file is not too clear.I hope there are other Chandi di Var files out there.Otherwise good job J.Singh Ji
  3. Only true Khalsa, who have great love and respect for other religions and peoples could ever establish Khalistan.Only TRUE Khalsa.
  4. To every BEAUTIFUL Guru da Sikh out there: Just make your life so it's just you and your Satguru, namely Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Man has been arguing over religion for thousands of years.Man has wasted his life just arguing and arguing.Just remember your Satguru, don't take notice of people who shout about religion. I have been guilty of arguing about religion I have been a stupid fool, caught in my own trap. What a fool. I have great love and respect to all Guru de Sikh out there who remember Vahiguru all the time.I am your servant.I bow to you. Vahiguru
  5. This is my own personal manmukhi response to Amans question. If it is in any way against Sikhi, then please correct me any way you wish. Amans, you said: First we have Vahiguru, which is also known as Ik Oankar and Parbrahm too.Now Vahiguru is not a God.According to my limited buddhi, Ik Oankar does not mean "One God," it means "One Om-Creator," or "One Cause of Om".Hence Om-kar, pronounced Oang-kaar.Om represents Brahm. Brahm is God and Goddess. You can't have God without Goddess too.Goddess exists, She is there in Gurbani.Everybody knows: "Eka Maa-i Jugat Vi-aaee, Tin Chele Parvan..." - Jap Ji Sahib "...Mata Dhart Mahat." - Slok Jap Ji Sahib The Mother exists. So what is God and what is Goddess? God is Consciousness, Goddess is Matter.Together they are manifested as Brahm.God and Goddess come from the Mystery, which is best defined as One.Neither God nor Goddess, It is both and not both. That is why it's known as Par[beyond] Brahm, Parbrahm. Vahiguru is not something that can be conceptualised, Vahiguru is beyond conceptualisation. You're confused aren't you.Well you're going to get it now: God is Vahiguru's Self, It is the Purukh.Goddess is Vahiguru's "body".Just like you have a self and a body. When Self (Consciousness) comes into contact with Nature (Matter), you get Creation. God (Consciousness) and Goddess (Matter/Nature) have always existed. Vahiguru, the Great Mystery, is beyond God and Goddess. Remember Ik Oankar does not mean "One God".The word for God in Gurmukhi is Dev.Vahiguru is not a God, Vahiguru is Beyond-God.
  6. In Asa Ki Vaar, there is a sentence which goes: "Moorakh naal na lujhee-e," which means "Don't debate with a fool (moorakh)".All these Islamic and Christian missionaries are fools, so don't bother debating with them.Just say no thank you.Never invite them into your home.
  7. This is for Khalsa Soulja, AKJ members, and anybody esle who hasn't noticed what I'm about to tell you: EVER NOTICED THE NUMBERS MENTIONED IN THE RAAG MALA? Well, just to remind you, Raag Mala goes like this: 6 Raag 30 Raagini 48 Raag Putra Okay, so far so good. Now add those numbers together: 6 + 30 + 48 = 84 :!: :!: Now, are you getting this AKJ??Getting it yet.Yes?No? 84, 84, 84.Come on!Yes that's right LAKH CHAURASI.CHAURASI. Get it now?84 is a number that occurs again and again in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.It's a very significant number as you all know. I hope this has opened the eyes of some people out there. STOP THIS DOUBT NOW.STOP, OR YOU'LL GET PUNISHED.Whoever goes against Guru is not a Sikh, but a dushman of Guru.Man, I tell you, I went to an Akhand Path recently. When it came to the Bhog, an AKJ woman was reading, and she stopped before Raag Mala. They had to hurriedly get someone to read Raag Mala.Is that be-izzati of Guru Sahib or what. That was a paap committed by the AKJ woman as far as I know.Maha-paap. It is Maha-paap for any Sikh to doubt any Guru Granth Sahib, Dasam Granth and Sarb Loh Granth. If you don't get it, then you don't get it.Sat Sri Akal.
  8. HONEY: You have a problem with unfresh mouth?Eat honey Pyareo. It tastes great and keeps mouth microbes in balance. If you have bad breath problem, stay away from bananas and eat honey.Put honey on your morning cereal, and you'll see the difference! ALCOHOL: Alcohol is still absorbed into bloodstream through the inside mouth tissues, cheeks, under the tongue etc.So is glucose I think. Amans you said: True, some do, but in most cases you can find non-alcoholic medecines. But I've never come across any medecine with brandy in it :?: :?
  9. Don't disrespect Baba Sri Chand Ji Maharaj or the Udasi.Baba Sri Chand wasn't jealous of anyone or anything. When he knew he wasn't to be the next Guru, he took the news very well. And don't believe the false story of Guru Nanak Dev Ji throwing a pot into a mudhole and testing to see who would get it.That's false propaganda :x Baba Sri Chand loved and respected his beloved father. And Guru Nanak Dev Ji wasn't in any way against him or his way of life. There's too much falsehood out there about Sikhi :x
  10. IMPORTANT FACT ABOUT WASHING/CONDITIONING(?) WITH YOGURT: It has to be LIVE yogurt.I heard that live yogurt (dahi) is very good for dandruff/itchy scalp.I hear that the bacteria in live yogurt kills off the microbes responsible for excessive dandruff/itchy scalp. If you have a problem with itchy scalp, then try it.Pat the dahi onto your scalp, leave for 30 mins or more, then rinse and shampoo.I haven't done it for years though I believe you should shampoo your hair thoroughly every two days, not every other day in temperate climes, but every other day in hot climates.
  11. Human love usually lasts for 2 weeks to 2 years. It is impermanent.Which love is permanent then?Remmember Vahiguru, and maybe you'll find out.
  12. I think that answers your question Rochak Malang Ji.The frescos weren't painted in the Satguru's time.Still I think this is history, and should be preserved, not destroyed. There are many historical Gurdware with frescos of the Satguru and various Sant, Devte, Devi et al.There's nothing wrong in that, unless some moorakh starts praying to them.
  13. Ramgarhia is not a caste, it's a Sikh Misl (regiment). It was started by Jassa Singh Ramgarhia, named after the Ramgarh, garh means fort. Here is some more info on Jassa Singh Ramgarhia: http://allaboutsikhs.com/events/mramgarhia.htm
  14. For those interested and live near Birmingham UK(and have lots of money! ) you can buy Sarb Loh Granth Steek at DTF on Soho Rd, Birmingham. It's way expensive though, £45 per book :!: It comes in two parts.I think I'd rather get both parts from Panjab, they cost Rupees 500 and 700.So if you or someone you know is going India, tell them to buy both books for you.The books are really heavy though! My mums reading them now.
  15. Narsingha Ji, you said: I too do not acknowledge the authority of SGPC, only of Guru Shabad.Guru Shabad is the manifestation (Vibhooti) of Vahiguru.
  16. Khalsa Soulja Ji, you said: No no, Khalsa Ji.Sri Dasam Granth was compiled by Bhai Mani Singh Ji, all of Sri Dasam Granth is Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's authorship.100%.Please don't have any doubts about this PURAN Granth. After all you are KHALSA are you not? Therefore you should not doubt these things. As a Khalsa it is your duty to read all Granth: Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib and Sri Sarb Loh Granth. Do not close yourself off from Divine esoteric knowledge.Sat Sri Akal.
  17. For those of you who are interested in the Truth about the figure and story of Jesus should check out the following site: http://www.medmalexperts.com/POCM/index_FLASH.html I have looked into the figure of Jesus and his story and have come to the conclusion that he never actually existed.Check out the website and you will see that there many mythologies of godmen who were born of virgins and who died and then were ressurected. Here is an example, 500 years before the Jesus story, the story of the mythical Attis: Attis was born of the Virgin Nana on December 25th. He was both the Father and the Divine Son. Attis' worshipers at a sacramental meal of bread and wine. The wine represented the God's blood; the bread became the body of the savoir. They were baptized in this way: a bull was placed over a grating, the devotee stood under the grating. The bull was stabbed with a consecrated spear. "It's hot reeking blood poured in torrents through the apertures and was received with devout eagerness by the worshiper...who had been born again to eternal life and had washed away his sins in the blood of the bull." [for more see Frazer, Attis, chapter 1] Called "the Good Sheppard," the "Most High God," the "Only Begotten Son" and "Savior." [in Rome the new birth and the remission of sins by shedding of bull's blood took place on what is now Vatican Hill, in our days the site of the great basilica of St. Peter's] The Festival of Joy -- the celebration of Attis' death and rebirth On March 22 a pine tree was brought to the sanctuary of Cybele, on it hung the effigy of Attis. The God was dead. Two days of mourning followed. On the eve of the third day, March 25th, the worshippers turned to joy. The above taken from http://www.medmalexperts.com/POCM/pagan_christs_attis.html Check the site out, you'll be amazed. Also I recommend typing PAGAN CHRISTS into a search engine and see what you find.Remember, our Satguru weren't mythical miracle-makers.Sat Sri Akal.
