  1. Definately, many times I have listened to classical music (classic FM) and really felt how amazing Vaheguru Ji is, and I know it sounds silly, but I'm constantly thinking about Guru Ji and Vaheguru Ji while watching films, and example being Lord Of The Rings.
  2. Yo Khandeydhaar if you're genuine then theres not alot you can do, from experience it happens all the time, and its sick! Anyway about sitting on seperate sides, I noticed in india no one really sits on seperate sides (except in my pind gurdwara) and there was this new couple from india that started coming to our gurdwara in UK and for the first 3 weeks they sat together and had langar and I thought that was really sweet, then after that seeing everyone else they started sitting seperately. I think in the olden days families used to go to Gurdware together instead of seperately and thats why they would want to sit together, but either way I would like to ask, why is it the stage is always on the men's side? I mean seriously, its in every Gurdwara. The one time the women started sitting on the other side in my Gurdwara, the granthi started making anouncements for them to move to the other side!!!! Outrageous!
  3. What do you recommend I read to find out about the groups of Sikhs that were around in Guru Gobind Singh Ji's times and how they have contributed to Sikh history?
  4. me? not a catwalk model???? what a ridiuculous idea  But since you have so kindly removed this deception, I can perhaps stop tinking about my beauty for a moment to answer your question. the topic I think refers to jathedar of akal purkh ki fauj being overweight. (God has it come to this? but anyway..) I agree with you, said jathedaar should be an example. If the horses legs were indeed about to break (i hope you asked the horse) then that is a pity. You however give no allowances for illness and old age. I am pretty sure this is keeping Santa Singh up at night. Instead of insults, I propose the two of us go on a slim fast plan, then tell the baba ji about our results...you know, encouragement is better than criticism....
  5. Fat people should not make insulting remarks about other people's weight. 8)
  6. NOTE TO MODERATOR Can you fail to see the barely concealed contempt with which Bikramjtsingh replies to and about lalleshvari's posts? You like to give narsingha a warning and cut stuff out but Bikramjit Singh needs to hava a bit of that treatment. Unless this is of course not an objective, unbiased monitoring going on and you wish to favour one online persona with another. Lalleshvari since it seems like you have read both nirmala and nihang ardas, can you tell me whether in either the line " Guru Granth Sahib Ji dha dhian dhar ki bolo ji vaheguru" comes in? Are we telling Guru Ji to say Vaheguru?
  7. it was up here just this morning! About sikhs taking sides? It was a good topic. Did I miss something??
  8. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh Am i the only one that still believes in one Sikhism for all? That doesn't mean to say that I profess to believe that Sikhs all look the same, or all behave alike, or all read the same daily prayers, or all follow the same rules.... What I mean is that I still believe that a person who follows Sikhism in their way and follows their ideals (ie general population, sevadaars, khalistani's, namdhari's, Nihangs, Nirmale, Akhand Keertani's, sgpc's, and any other Sikhs) is still a person I would talk to with as much respect as any other person. I have nothing against these people, I live my life and they live theirs. I will after all go away with only my karam and my conscience. I have observed that in the last year everyone I know seems to have divided into groups and Sikhs in one group hate Sikhs in the other and do their best to spread rumours, threaten, swear at, insult, and back bite those other Sikhs that believe in a different way to them. I have also noticed with hurt that people I still look up to and admire treat not only myself but others who believe in the same way as me differently to before. Can it really have gone so far that Sikhs would threaten other Sikhs? Have we as part of a religion only a few hundred years old been so easily fooled and misguided by Kaljug? I still maintain all my old connections and friends with the same love I had before this divide even if it is not returned. Has everyone taken sides? All those in England will know what I mean. vaheguru ji ka khalsa vaheguru ji ki fateh
  9. i was just replying to someone else's intolerance and pointing it out. but the point has been taken on board
  10. sorry for that, its in the wrong topic....
  11. see thats what is meant by living in a box. At the mere mention of Sant Jarnail Singh bhindranwale having some degh Inderjit became outraged, without a step back and rational thought, you said that gitchimaroar chatted crap, and you would even go to Baba Takhur Singh with names. Like he wouldn't laugh at you with your silly little worries when death could be upon you at any minute. Maybe we need to remember that and do more simran because this world is false like a dream Guru Nanak Dev Ji says. My my what would happen if it was confirmed that Sant Jarnail Singh did actually have some. Would you stop 'believing' in him? Would you try to make up some excuses, i.e he was forced to drink it that would make it more acceptable to you? I might understand if someone was slandering our benevolent and loving Gurus but no person is perfect. No one should follow people as if they were God, and yes if you just respect him, I'm not disputing that, but people are allowed to be individuals in their sikhi. No one should be held up to be perfect examples in Sikhi because that is only the Guru Maharaaj himself.
  12. well theres the website that magar much singh posted and another one www.sarbloh.info. If you don't have the time to research right now, then leave it for a bit, but its important to read everything then make up your own mind. Take what people say with a pinch of salt. We all have our own path. I for one am against the attempts pf mainstream 'modern' Sikhs that try to make every Sikh identical in everything they do, but Sikhi is much more diverse than that and its up to us to have an open mind see what our connection with Guru Ji is and what type of lifestyle we fit. Both these websites that have been approved by the UK Jathedar of the BUdda Dal do mention lots of scriptures and lots of quotes.
