Very good to understand alot of the 5th Rut in the Sri Sooraj Prakash Give it a try and see what you think of the contect. Mahasamadhi is an affectionate term used for when Sants or gurmukhs leave their body.

Gurfateh all, just a very quick message as you may all be aware there is a massive sant samagam held for the barsi of Sant Dalel Singh ji Virakat at Tuto Mazara every year. This program is run by Sant Jagdev Singh Ji Tuto mazara Walae. This program has been going on for the past two days. During this time Sant Jagdev Singh Ji contracted swine flue but did not give up his duties, this morning Sant ji lost consciousness and i have recieved a call about half an hour ago to let me know they have entered a state of mahasamadhi Sri Mahant and the other nirmala Sadhus along with Jathedars of the takhats are currently overseeing any arrangements being made and the dastarbandi of the next mahant at the dera.

I have one question about the Kavach section of the blog. I have seen the Brahm Kavach in the gurbilas Patshahi 10 and Nihang Gutkas however i have found a discrepency with the naveen panth parkash. it states in there that guru gobind singh ji read the brahm kavach and rather then reciting the brahm kavach in the nihang gutka they recite the benti chaupai and refer to this as the brahm kavach. Thought i would just bring that to your attention!

I think you will find both sargun and nirgun upashna is being done. Sor the Sargun you must understand the four different terms used for the Guru's Aad - primal Guru, Sri GUru Nanak Dev Ji Jugaad - Jug means 2, Jugaad is for the second following the primal - Sri Guru Angad Dev ji Satgureh - Satguru is a term used alot now as a term of spiritual status for the Guru. The common interpretation is that is means 'True master' or 'True Guru'. However at the time of the Gurus and still now your ustad is refered to as Gurdev and your Gurdevs ustaad is refered to as Satguru. So Guru Arjan Dev Ji are paying their respects to their gurdevs (Sri Guru Ram DAs Ji) Gurdev (Sri Guru Amar Das Ji). The Term Satguru here is specifically for Sri Guru Amar Das Ji. Sri Gurdev - As i stated above the spiritual master at the time was referred to as Gurdev. Here Guru Arjan DEv Ji pay their respects to their Gurdev, Sri Guru Ram Das Ji. Here you also find the term 'Sri'. This is due to Maya coming into the shelter of the Guru. Ithaas states that Guru Nanak Dev Ji kept Maya at a distance of 11km from them, Guru Angad Dev Ji kept Maya at 7 km away and Guru Amar Das Ji at 4 Km. A the time of Guru Ram Das Ji being seated on the takhat of the panth Maya came to the Guru with a request for shelter which was granted In this way the 4 terms are in accordance with sargun upashna
