This is major acheivement, this gurdwara is main gurdwara and old gurdwara in surrey. Sangat before was divided into two factions created by media, politics - moderates, fundamentalist. Sangat of surrey, BC have clearly choose Sikh Youth Slate as their voice, it was peaceful election with no hera pheri. Now hopefully with sikh youth comitee things will change, they anticipate to bring both factions under - One Guru Panth Nishan Sahib.

here some of coverage from media:

ps note: Now Sri Guru Nanak Sikh Temple Surrey joins the first gurdwara - Sukh Sagar, New WestMinister, BC which are also run by sikh youths.

We hope to see more and more gurdwaras run and managed by sikh youth gursikhs. Time for Change.

Really?

All I've seen from the Sikh youth (in general) in the west is dogma, proselytising and propaganda about keski etc with little tolerance for people with a difference in opinion.

They are simply the equal and opposite of the outgoing establishment imo.

Hope these ones prove me wrong.
