Did puratan(old) Sikhs collect all their dead hair(Kesh) and burn them? If yes, what was the reason? Can someone please explain? Did they also burn their nails?

Thanks

Panj Pyaare gave this instructions to us, I mean to the initiated ones, because "amrit" is sprinkled in the hair and hair are the stamp of Guru, so procedure told was do ardas then sanskaar them and either bury them or flow them in running water, just like a real person cremation when the person is dead.
