ਸਿਖਾ ਹੀਣ ਕੋਈ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਫੁਰੈ ॥

ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਜਪੈ ਉਲਟ ਤਿਹ ਪਰੈ ॥੧੦॥

Those without hair or without the lock of hair on the crown of their heads could not remember* any mantra and if anyone (those without hair) repeated the mantra, there was negative influence of the mantra on him.10.

* - That part of the above translation might be wrong. It is probably referring to Mantar Sidhi, not just to remembering a mantar.

Veer Ji excellent thread on kesh and its importance. I am gonna add some katha links and here is a quote from a very rare Bani from Sri Dasam Granth on kesh called Vaar Sri Bhagauti or Bhagat Bhagauti Vaar

ਕੇਸ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਿਰ ਕੁਟੀਐ ਚੰਘਿਾੜੇ ਕਵਨ ਛੁਡਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
Those who have no hair on their heads, when struck on bare heads cry in pain, and no one comes to their rescue

ਹੁਕਮ ਮੰਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਖਸ਼ ਲੈ ਨਿਗੁਰਿਆ ਨੋ ਇਹ ਸਜਾਇ ਹੈ ॥
Those without a Guru are punished like this. However, those who submit to the divine will, are accepted with honour before God.

Nau Nidh Khatri asks “Shri Prabhu ji, you run this path, you have kept your Hair unshorn. Guru Ji, helper of the poor, tell me, why have you kept long hair?"


ਸੁਨਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਮੁਖ ਫੁਰਮਾਵਨਿ ਕਰਯੋ ॥ ਤੁਮ ਕੋ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਿਚਰ੍ਯੋ ॥

Hearing this Guru Ji said, "You have studied many Shastra, many religious texts. You have spent your life listening and reciting the Shastra, yet you have not come to realize the answer”


ਧਰਮ ਰਖਨਿ ਕੇਸ਼ਾਦਿਕ ਭਲੇ ॥ ਸਨਕਾਦਿਕ ਤੇ ਆਵਤਿ ਚਲੇ ॥ ਭਾਰਥ ਖੰਡ ਬਿਖੈ ਸ਼ੁਭ ਦੇਸ਼ ॥ ਕੇਸ਼ ਰਾਖਣੋ ਧਰਮ ਬਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼’ ॥5॥
"Adorning long hair is to keep this dharm, this tradition alive, which was started by Sanak, Sanatan, Sanandana, Sanatkumar, and others. In the land of Bharat dwells a great country, here keeping hair unshorn is an important part of our Dharam."

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਭਨ੍ਯੋ ‘ਸਮਾ ਕ੍ਯਾ ਕਹੈ ॥ ਸੋ ਰਵਿ ਸੋ ਸਸਿ ਸੋ ਜਲ ਅਹੈ ॥ ਬਾਯੂ ਬੰਨੀ ਬਸੁਧਾ ੳਈ ॥ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਮੈ ਕੋ ਕ੍ਯਾ ਕਹਿ ਕੋਈ ॥7॥
Guru Ji replied, “What does time have to do with it? The same sun remains, the same moon, water, wind, fire and earth remain. How can anyone blame time?"


ਆਪਨ ਆਪ ਕੋ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਖੀਜੈ । ਰਾਖੇ ਜਾਇਂ ਨ, ਸਾਚ ਕਹੀਜੈ ॥ ਕੇਸ਼ ਰਖਨਿ ਕੀ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੀਨੇ ॥ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਮੇਂ ਪਰ ਕਲਪਨ ਕੀਨੇ ॥8॥
"Blame yourself and only yourself, speak the truth, you are unable to keep hair. You lack the capability to keep your hair so you blame everything on the time."

It's really great that you post Gurmukhi stuff, but why do you fail to put the sources in???

The bigger question is why you are acting like an admin cut 

I shouldn't even need to ask. You know the standards of this forum. If you're going to put something out like that, you should know to put sources up so people can verify and evaluate them (source, author and page if possible). Otherwise any admin cut could put something up and make all sorts of claims about it. 

Try and keep standards up mate.
