The minority politician was attacked outside his home in Pir Baba area of the district. The reason for the killing is not known yet, as there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. Soran, a leading Sikh activist, was a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf .
