I don't know but by looking at our sikh hertiage... i think orgin of sikh heritage came from rajasthani culture/hertiage... !

They are both are soo similiar.

This is my view..i don't have any reference to prove it..

please post your thoughts or any potential references of link between these two hertiages.

according to professor surinderpal singh,

the dhadhi tradition and singing vaars is a rajasthani tradition.

The nihangs are known to have migrated to rajasthan as well.

the elements of sikh culture which have to do with jats/rajputs has similarities in rajasthan as the elements of both clans that are linked migrated through rajasthan up into malwa and abroad.

what elements specifically, strike you as being similar ?

Some tribes in Punjab are from Rajesthan wide Solnaki(Virk) Chuahan(Cheema),Pratihar(Parhar)and Panwar(Parmar).

Then as thney are origenal from a alter in mount abu so called Agni Vansh or dynasty perhaps snaskritisation of tribals in Rajputs.

So language, anthrpoligical things are similar. We have Devotee Pipa and Dhana having versde in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Tenth Master did visit that Area and Locals did respect.Even when Singhs attacked Jaipur Local King Said that we both are Sikh of the same Guru and Sikhs retreated(Ram Singh went to Assam with Ninth Master as protection to magic of Asemeess Devi Kamakhya and after breaking Magic Guru made freindship between teh two).

two more important Things.

Rana Pratap Singh did got inspiration from Baba Srichand Ji and Udasis are still strong there.Swami Dayanand Wanted to end Vaishnav order ut later got killed/commited suicide.

And Skiligars or blacksmith Sikh tribe are native of Rajsthan called in Punajb by Sixth Master to make weapons for Sikhs.Majority of them are Sikhs.

Maybe Rajasthanis and Punjabis have cultural similarities because both ethnicities share common castes. The peasantry of both states are composed of Rajputs, Jats, Gujars. So there is bound to be similarities between the two. Many of these groups also claim Rajasthan as their historic place of origin before migrating northward to Punjab. Many of these groups also share a common ancestry because of a common descent from the Huns, Scythians, Kushans etc.

So the similarities may not be coincidental.

Das yesterday returned from Jaipur.

There is a Damdam Sahib Shaster Asthan of Tenth Master on Sethi colony,Agra road.Another Gurudwara of historical importance is a Pushkar.Exact place Gobind Ghat is anyway at present in Hindu Control although some thing is writtna over there also in Gurmukhi.

Thing to rember here is that Gobind Ghat is more important to Hindu brthern also due to inte relation with Lord Brhama perhaps or God only knows.

Regarding the style of moushtches belonging to Old Sikhs and Rajasthanis das say that it is not with Rajpoots only but other Castes also have similar moustaches.
