The 'just dragged out of bed to comb kesh' before school photo ! I think we can all indentify with that one ! - My Mum would work shifts but would always take extra care to look after our kesh - there were 4 of us ! - it showed us all the importance of our Kesh and also it was 'Quality Time' with our Mum - all parents are short of time - but the Kesh combing time was face to face individual child- focussed interaction - a time to chat and catch up and just quality parent/ child time - teaching us the fundementals of Sikhi. -ie. there is more to life than the 'Rat Race' Sikh girl at gurdwara with 'tight' plaits Ginger Sikhs !
