This is a rare antique Indo Persian hunting "Nagini" sword, at least over 100 years old. The name "Nagini" means snake, and the wavy blade is a representation of a serpents body.

The blade is heavily decorated and has had a tremendous amount of time devoted to it by the maker, a unique and beautiful piece for any collector.

This is a great collectible piece something that would have been on display rather than been used. However the blade is extremely sharp, therefore there is a possibility of its intended use of being used for hunting or battle.

The hilt is very secure and is 5.5 inches and has floral engravings. There is some sign of silver koftgari filled in the engravings, but over time most of it seems to have worn away.

The blade is 28.5 inches and appears to depict a tigers hunt on one side, and Gods/Goddesses on the other, and is heavily engraved with floral patterns.

There is no rust or pitting, and I have professionally had the whole sword polished so that its beauty can be appreciated.
