Raja Chitar Singh was so besotted with Chitarmati that he totally forgot the workings of the creator. Just because Chitarmati looks like his wife, it does not mean that both will have the same (or even similar) personalities. They are two different individuals. His mind was so attached with the looks of his wife, that he forgot his ability to reason and waged a war (which led to death and destruction) over an unknown woman, who happened to look like his wife.
