  11. The above Shabad was an updesh to a Jogi, on how to enjoy Joganand and explains a technique of Hath jog (which is not completely accepted in Gurmat). This technique can assist a practitioner to take his Prans to the Dasam Duar (Tenth gate). There are three versions of Prayanaam: Kanist - 16 recitations of ਓਅੰ ਸੋਹੰ during inhalation, 16 while holding breath and 16 during exhalation Madam - 12 recitations of ਓਅੰ ਸੋਹੰ during inhalation, 24 while holding breath and 16 during exhalation Uttam - 16 recitations of ਓਅੰ ਸੋਹੰ during inhalation, 64 while holding breath and 32 during exhalation IMHO, this technique is for Jogis, not for ordinary householders. This becomes clear when Maharaaj states: ਅਬਲ ਬਲੁ ਤੋੜਿਆ To practice the above technique, one has to make his body very sukham (skinny) by eating meagerly. This is not possible for ordinary householders, who have to work (40-50 hrs in a week) for a living. It might be useful in cultivating concentration. Most likely, there should be no harm in trying it using Waheguru mantar, but it does seem to be arduous. 13. Quote So at Nanaksar Jagraon, samagam would start 4 pm Dec 25 and continue whole night into the morning ( 7 am ) of Dec 26. You guys might be confusing this with the Gurupurub of Guru Nanak, that is celebrated the preceding night of Pooranmashi! Unquote (Ragmaala paaji) Bhul chuk maaf
  14. Quote At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you,"Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." 23. Have a look at this too, brother. Quote (Amardeep paaji) There are still two commentaries extant in manuscript form from the Kavi darbaar. One is also called the Praya Sri Guru Granth Sahib written by Kavi Kirat Singh and other is by Kavi Gurdas SIngh called the Praya Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Ka. There might have been more from the Kavi Darbar which were lost Unquote Bhul chuk maaf
  24. Bro, if you have heard the entire katha of SSGGSJM, then you should definitely try Amir Bhandar teeka. It goes into more depth than any other complete teeka of SSGGSJM. If you haven't heard the entire katha, then try Fareedkot wala teeka. IMHO, avoid Professor Sahib Singh jee's teeka, until you have gone through the above teekas. Grammar can assist a person in understanding the arths of Gurbani, but one cannot restrict the words of the Almighty Lord, Waheguru, using it. Other teeka you can try, is by Gyani Harbans Singh jee. He does pad arth and states ucharan sayd too. Additionally, he does a comparative study in the teeka. The below is from another topic: Quote Bhai saab jee, Amir Bhandar was written by Gyani Kirpal Singh jee, best student of Vidya Martand Srimaan 108 Sant Gyani Amir Singh jee Khalsa Sato ki Gali wale. These personalities were Jathedars of Amritsari Taksal. These arths are very close (if not same) to the arths taught by Satguru jee (Tenth Master) to the Sikhs. Unquote Bhul chuk maaf
