Mr = It's what YOU clearly imply (given that Dhan Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj to only consider Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj as our Guru and to bow our heads to no other) - So according to your line of thinking, even Panj Pyaray are not guru roop. Why should we take amrit from them? According to your line of thinking, what was the need for other gurus to recite bani, when first master had already recited Gurbani? Mr = All the blessed authors of Gurbani contributed to the Ocean of Truth in Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj - Similarly, tenth master made another great ocean for us, which focuses more on bir ras and evil psyche. Do you think first master's bani was deficient in any way? Mr = No but you clearly do since you feel that without the 400 odd sexually charitars in Triya Charitars that Gurbani is not complete for you. - Who said that? A person can attain salvation, even by reciting mool mantar alone. Does that mean, there is no need for SSGGSJ? Some tales do warn women too. Mr = That wasn't the point. Given that Triya Charitar is overwhelmingly slanted towards the male reader it makes a mockery of Gurbani being Jagat Guru as a universal message for male and female. If the writers of Hindu pornographic tales included some relating to men then bully for them. It does not negate the fact that the overwhelmingly majority of Triya charitar tales denigrate women in discordance with Gurmat. - Female mind is more complicated than a male mind, if you believe in science. It makes complete sense that there are more charitars of women than males. Bhul chuk maaf
  2. Bro, you have a point, but we cannot start calling people who commit any one of the 4 cardinal sins, as Sikhs. This will be going against the very basics of our religion. Do you want us to destroy our foundations? Having said that, we must respect them and try to bring them back into Sikhi, with love and compassion. Not all Nihangs, eat meat. Also, Nihangs are not allowed to eat meat from shops. They follow a specific maryada. Bhul chuk maaf
  3. Who said that? According to your line of thinking, what was the need for other gurus to recite bani, when first master had already recited Gurbani? Do you think first master's bani was deficient in any way? Some tales do warn women too. Have you read all the charitars? Bhul chuk maaf
  4. Daas never said that. The Bajjar Kurehits put a mona in the same category as an adulterous person, meat eater, alcoholic, smoker, etc. Our father did that, not me. Bhul chuk maaf
  5. Please use Gurbani to prove that alcoholics, smokers, meat eaters, drug users, hair cutters, adulterous people, perverts, prostitutes, etc, can be classified as Sikhs. Bhul chuk maaf
  6. Satguru jee had to defend his Sikhs from evil and cunning women too. Bhul chuk maaf
  7. Bro, the point is that the term "Sehajdhari" was used for non-Sikhs in the past. People born in other faiths and who had shardha towards Satguru jee. How can Bajjar kurehatiye and patits be classified as Sehajdharis? This term is being misinterpreted and misused now. Bhul chuk maaf
  8. Closing statements: 1. Satguru jee, using three Gurbanis from Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee for amrit ceremony, is a clear indication that there is no difference between SSGGSJ and Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee. 2. Fifth master even bowed to Sri Aad Granth Sahib jee (not yet bestowed guruship). This is a clear evidence that Sikhs must bow to Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee, even though it has not been formally given, status of a guru. 3. Different forms of Satguru jee are: Gurbani, Panj Pyaray, Saadh Sangat, Shastars and Brahamgyanis. Bhul chuk maaf
  9. Good point. Choice is simple. SSGGSJ = Sri Dasan Granth Sahib jee OR Tenth master different from other nine masters Choose one. Bhul chuk maaf
  10. Bro, there are different kinds of Bhagats. One type of a Bhagat, does Bhagtee for a specific purpose. Example, Bhagat Dhru jee Maharaaj for kingdom. One type is only for pure love. So on..... Bhul chuk maaf
  11. Can someone please state the benefits of doing Parikarma of SSGGSJ? As far as I remember (might be wrong), Gyani Thakur Singh jee talked about them in a Katha. Bhul chuk maaf
  12. When Maharaaj did parikarma at Hajoor Sahib after giving guruship to SSGGSJ, 5 singhs were at Tabeya and a shastar was placed near SSGGSJ too. Therefore, Maharaaj did parikaram of SSGGSJ, 5 Singhs, Shastar and Saadh-Sangat. Bhul chuk maaf
  13. Bhagat Jaidev jee Maharaaj'e wife was a great Sati. She was at a stage, where she would die, if she heard the news of her husband's death. Bhul chuk maaf
  14. Panj Pyaray are guru-roop. Shastars are guru-roop. Saadh-Sangat is guru-roop. Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee is guru roop Bhul chuk maaf
  15. Correct me if I am wrong, Sindhi Sehajdharis consider themselves to be Hindus, but have love for first master. They are indeed, Sehajdharis. Bhul chuk maaf
  16. Can someone please explain the different types of Bhagats? - Aarta - Aarti Aarta - Premi - Gyani Thanks Bhul chuk maaf Waheguru jee kaa Khalsa Waheguru jee kee Fateh
  17. Great video bro. Thanks for uploading. Feminism has no place in Sikhism, neither does Taliban way of thinking. Bhul chuk maaf Waheguru jee kaa Khalsa Waheguru jee kee Fateh
  18. Bro, Gurbani talks about Satis. Sati has several meanings. The word is used in Gurbani. Don't think of a Sati only, as a woman burning on a pyre. Bhul chuk maaf
  19. Can someone please list and explain the different types of Satis? Sati could mean pious women, honest person, philanthropist, etc In terms of women, - One type of a Sati, is a woman, who does not engage in any sexual contact (physically), other than with her husband - One type of a Sati, is a woman, who does not engage in any sexual contact (mentally), other than with her husband - Another type is a woman, who will die on hearing the news of her husband's death. - There are more... Thanks Bhul chuk maaf Waheguru jee kaa Khalsa Waheguru jee kee Fateh
  20. Can someone please confirm the authenticity and narration of the below sakhi? When Sikhs asked eight master about the next guru, Maharaaj had mentioned that you can bow to Sri Aad Granth Sahib jee, implying that Sri Aad Granth Sahib jee is your next guru. After that, Maharaaj had said "Baba Bakalay". Thanks Bhul chuk maaf
  21. That's a great point. Fifth master even bowed to Sri Aad Granth Sahib jee. This is a clear evidence that Sikhs must bow to Sri Dasam Granth Sahib jee, even though it has not been given the status of guru. Bhul chuk maaf
  22. Go for it bro. Maybe guys like me, can learn from it. Bhul chuk maaf
  23. Interesting teaching by Sant Eknath jee Maharaaj. It might be beneficial for Sikh youth, especially for celibates. Quote A spiritual aspirant should not even take a chance in associating with a satvic woman (of pure qualities), even though she might prove to be a helpmate, for our fickle mind, not yet established in God through concentration, might have an imminent fall and it is thus unwise to jeopardize all one's life's aspirations and endeavors for so little." Unquote [1] [1] - Saints of Maharashtra Something related to the above, is below. Quote We implore the youth of the Panth to act on the 10th Masters wisdom. To stop this new ravaaj of Singhs and Bibiyan hugging each other whenever they meet, under the guise of paaji paaji bhenji bhenji. And to stop meeting alone for whatever reason, there is no need. When we bring back our age old traditions, we will bring back the raksha of the Guru Unquote[1] [1] - http://exposingmasands.blogspot.ca/2014/11/giani-thakur-singh-controversy-facts.html Other advice, which might be helpful for celibates: - Stay away from promiscuous women. - Stay away from divorced women. - Stay away from women, who are having fights/troubles with their husbands Bhul chuk maaf
