In the video it says, after Kali maa came out of Druga ma forehead, they still weren't able to fight the Blood demon Sanwatbeej, and they had to run away to a rishi.

However, I actually read Chandi di Vaar, and Durga had no trouble wiping out the demons. She was on relentless offense throughout both wars. The only small sign of defense from Durga devi is in the 40th paure, when all the demon warriors, that rose from the blood of Sanwatbeej attacked Devi at once. And Guru sahib says, Durga sab bachiya dhal sambhal ke - Durga saved herself from all, holding her shield carefully. And then in next pauri, Kali mata comes out and it's just attack again.

So am I missing something? Or is the video wrong. Thanks.

Veer ji i will answer this topic in more detail later on by using katha tracks of chandi di vaar along with using english transalated texts of all three dasam chandi banis.

SadSangth ji, please help me understand what are the total Nitnem Banis one can recite in mornings in total and evening for extras? Also, Shabad Hazaare, what time should this shabad be recited, please guide anyone.

Wjkk wjkf veer ji. Dass usually reads panj banis nitnem banis any time i usually like whether its morning or evening depending on my mood. I do know that sri rehras sahib can be done before 11pm as i heard in katha. There is no limit as dass has had experience with the number of banis to do if you wish to do more than panj banis is fine as its good to make connection with guru sahib ji.

In regards to shabad hazare dass has never read it as its usually best to do the paath at amritvela or before 10am i think can be done.

Shri Waheguru Ji Da Khalsa, Shri Waheguru Ji De Fateh,

Satsriakal to all my brothers and sisters on this forum. I hope everyone is safe and sound along with their family and friends. I needed some advice or suggestions from my fellow Sikhs. I do my daily required prayers, I try to stay positive, I do socialize and try to stay happy but my life has been continuously troublesome and negative. Please see below of how it’s negative and need tips suggestions to improve my life:

    1. My father passed away when I was 6 years old, was attached with him a lot.
    2. Struggle in family disputes, arguments, struggle in studies
    3. Betrayal from family and friends
    4. Continuously obstacles keep happening no matter how hard I try to succeed in life
    5. Wife left forever so ended up in divorce.
    6. No siblings it’s just me and mom the house feels empty.
    7. Attempting re-marriage but women these days either have behavior problem or attitude not good, or they want to pressurize the guy in their own ways.

I am not understanding that despite my devotion to Waheguru / Gurus / Banis why is everything negative happening and no good outcome happening? I don’t drink I don’t smoke I don’t get angry but there is just something wrong somewhere something is not right

Wjkk wjkf veer ji. First of all i would like to welcome to you to the website as this is your first thread post on here.

What you have written is really sad and its horrible that you have had to go through all of this through out your entire life.

Send me a private message so you can help open up more on there if you are comfortable with that. As i know what you are going through is terrible. Have you thought getting help from the doctor regarding these issues ?

The preachers never talk a out it because they have no first-hand experience of it just like everything else they preach about. They are not bramgianies or advance souls. Their knowledge is all parrot fashion learning!  They just repeat everything they have learned by rote in various different ways in various different times and venues. They never reflect on anything they learn that’s why they all come across as superficial unable to communicate a deeper understanding of Gurbani. Best is do your own reflections and meditations on what you learn yourself. This helps to expand your understanding and you are better able to make sense of the teachings.

Veer ji you are 100% correct and spot on as i agree with you as they haven't got even 1% knowledge of our dharam granths nor they read from them is why they lack practical experience.

Waheguru ji Ka khalsa, waheguru ji ki fateh gursikho..

i want your help in determining the simran stage I am in and where to start. First a bit of background..

Mona Sikh for lot of years but did a lot of path and attended sangat with Guru's kirpa. Had a huge setback last year personally and finally took amrit. In fact I should say that Guru took pity on me and gave me Amrit as i was begging. I love Gurbani and can read it for hours in a stretch. Have done more than 10 sehaj paths and my nitnem is very long(Guru kirpa) sometime goes upto 3.5-4 hours(including evening nitnem). I love adding banis to my nitnem and constantly keeps on adding them. I never though about Gurmantar simran even after taking Amrit. But few months into Amrit, I found that there is a movement(like circle or chakra you can say) in my heart on which I can attach Waheguru and do simran even while doing work(without speaking). In fact I did it multiple times. But still I fell back and did Gurbani path. Then I started simran in my heart again this year and it moved to nabhi(navel) quickly and few more days practice and then to space between eyebrows(read it as a trikuti chakra). Again left practice and read lot of Gurbani. My smiran practice is very irregular but i can switch to simran mode anytime, anywhere. I can do simran with noise also with 60-70% focus.

Now I want to use my current stage and progress it from here. So which simran stage I am in (as I haven't come from traditional repetition of gurmantar but from Gurbani abhyaas). I have tried reading and listening to many texts/gursikhs but not sure what should be the way forward.

Simran on chakras get very fast, sometimes not even comprehensible and i am not able to enjoy it for long. Simran on these chakras even I start slow becomes very fast. This is the reason I leave my simran practice. I just want to paise of Guru through waheguru. If simran is so fast, i am not able to comprehend and no love comes out of it.

Sometime I do swaas swas simran, and it feels good to be slow but then body automatically switches to chakra simran after sometime. Besides that I feel some drum beats particularly with fan noise which i presume to  be celestial sounds but I am not bothered about those noises. I just wantto connect with Waheguru ji.

Another thing is that my 5 vices(especially krodh) are same as before. I feel I have made no progress on this front. Ideally as per my thinking, if I can meditate on trikuti chakra then I should have become more calm. Anxiety(sehsa in gurbani) is little less but almost similar to before. So what is the the point of simran, if my sehaj awastha is not reached and my mind is still unsettled. I feel I am doing simran more as activity (which is so fast) and thats why no progress on calming the mind. With haume, I can never reach brahm.

So I am looking for suggestions on where to start practicing the simran. Am I doing ajapa jap(fast simran on chakras)?  I feel ajapa jap can be done any time of the day but when I am sitting for a simran session, should I do swaas swaas slowly?

Considering my current state, from where should you suggest to start. Remember I want to kill my haume and 5 vices also with simran.

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh veer ji. I would like to first of all welcome you to the website. You have a lot of kirpa veer ji on what you described from being a mona to becoming a amritdhari sikh. Its really good that you can do this amount of paath and simran. @Sat1176, @Lucky@harsharan000@Ragmaala

and many others respected members are the best to answer questions about simran and chakkars as dass hasn't got much experince in this subject.

Kirtan is Gurbani. Even if it's Dharna kirtan a la Rara Sahib, the message is that you should jap naam. If someone has that opinion I would get as far as possible.

Veer ji the reason why mahapursh like rara sahib, nanaksar did dharna kirtan was because in malwa area of punjab our brothers and sisters were into punjabi songs boliyan and what mahapursh did was made kirtan understand to the common pind folk at the time to help connect to them sikhi. As they could have used raag kirtan but not many sangat understand raag kirtan so dharna was used instead.

Also mahapursh had a lot of bhagati which was the reason they successful in their parchar duty. One mahapursh had darshan of guru nanak dev ji 3 times whilst sitting in baba isher singh ji rara sahib jis deewan

     Hey dalsingh bro,

Do you really believe I can be blind to the facts you are mentioning?

This kaam vaasna chor has left almost no one free from its deadly effects.

Name me one country or one race or creed which is free from this malady?

Film industry and sport sector in USA with me too, Colombia, Thailand, India, the muslim countries, the religious class in christianity within the goray, the political,  the royal families, the doctors with their patients, the goray and other paedophiles with children of only months...

Open any news channel, any newspaper, one only sees sex crimes, apart from other atrocities, but sex crime is just too much...

It is just sickening, there is no such corner in this world full of evilness and negativity where this sex crime does not take place.

Some time ago, I read how apnay outside the gurdwaras in UK also have committed paedophile acts with our own children while parents are inside.

These are just some cases which come on the surface, but how many more are happening every second, every minute...

    Bloody bastards.

These dhusts should burn in narak for which they will be rewarded one day. Thats why i have stopped watching these news and social media as there way too much stories about sickos which makes me angry so i try to keep away from it.
