  1. My Guru is telling me to do one thing and one thing only and I do so many others..... Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Waheguru Ang 426 They are occupied with the Naam, and only the Naam; they deal only in the Naam. naamay hee naam varatday naamay vartaaraa. Deep within their hearts is the Naam; upon their lips is the Naam; they contemplate the Word of God, and the Naam. antar naam mukh naam hai naamay sabad veechaaraa. They listen to the Naam, believe in the Naam, and through the Naam, they obtain glory. naam sunee-ai naam mannee-ai naamay vadi-aa-ee. They praise the Naam, forever and ever, and through the Naam, they obtain the Mansion of the Lord`s Presence. naam salaahay sadaa sadaa naamay mahal paa-ee. Through the Naam, their hearts are illumined, and through the Naam, they obtain honor. naamay hee ghat chaannaa naamay sobhaa paa-ee. Through the Naam, peace wells up; I seek the Sanctuary of the Naam. naamay hee sukh oopjai naamay sarnaa-ee. Without the Naam, no one is accepted; the self-willed manmukhs lose their honor. bin naavai ko-ay na mannee-ai manmukh pat gavaa-ee. In the City of Death, they are tied down and beaten, and they lose their lives in vain. jam pur baaDhay maaree-ah birthaa janam gavaa-ee. Those Gurmukhs who realize the Naam, all serve the Naam. (To serve Naam is to LISTEN TO IT!!!!!) naamai kee sabh sayvaa karai gurmukh naam bujhaa-ee. So believe in the Naam, and only the Naam; through the Naam, glorious greatness is obtained. naamhu hee naam mannee-ai naamay vadi-aa-ee. He alone receives it, unto whom it is given. Through the Guru`s Teachings, the Naam is realized. jis no dayvai tis milai gurmatee naam bujhaa-ee. O Nanak, everything is under the influence of the Naam; by perfect good destiny, a few obtain it. naanak sabh kichh naavai kai vas hai poorai bhaag ko paa-ee.
  2. Just read rest of Ang 425. Do I really need to read anymore? How many more ways does my mind need to be told to do as much simran as I can. Why am I still so lazy and why does my mind look for other things to do instead? Why have I already wasted so much time in my life? Got a long hard battle ahead of me. Only way I'm going to win this game is if he so wishes it and does his kirpa... Sri Guru Amar Das Ji says Everything is within the home of your own self; there is nothing beyond it. gharai andar sabh vath hai baahar kichh naahee. By Guru`s Grace, it is obtained, and the doors of the inner heart are opened wide. ||1|| gur parsaadee paa-ee-ai antar kapat khulaahee. From the True Guru, the Lord`s Name is obtained, O Siblings of Destiny. satgur tay har paa-ee-ai bhaa-ee. The treasure of the Naam is within; the Perfect True Guru has shown this to me. ||1||Pause|| antar naam niDhaan hai poorai satgur dee-aa dikhaa-ee. rahaa-o. One who is a buyer of the Lord`s Name, finds it, and obtains the jewel of contemplation. har kaa gaahak hovai so la-ay paa-ay ratan veechaaraa. He opens the doors deep within, and through the Eyes of Divine Vision, beholds the treasure of liberation. ||2|| andar kholai dib disat daykhai mukat bhandaaraa. There are so many mansions within the body; the soul dwells within them. andar mahal anayk heh jee-o karay vasayraa. He obtains the fruits of his mind`s desires, and he shall not have to go through reincarnation again. ||3|| man chindi-aa fal paa-isee fir ho-ay na fayraa. The appraisers cherish the commodity of the Name; they obtain understanding from the Guru. paarkhee-aa vath samaal la-ee gur sojhee ho-ee The wealth of the Naam is priceless; how few are the Gurmukhs who obtain it. ||4|| naam padaarath amul saa gurmukh paavai ko-ee. Searching outwardly, what can anyone find? The commodity is deep within the home of the self, O Siblings of Destiny. baahar bhaalay so ki-aa lahai vath gharai andar bhaa-ee. The entire world is wandering around, deluded by doubt; the self-willed manmukhs lose their honor. bharmay bhoolaa sabh jag firai manmukh pat gavaa-ee. The false one leaves his own hearth and home, and goes out to another`s home. ghar dar chhoday aapnaa par ghar jhoothaa jaa-ee. Like a thief, he is caught, and without the Naam, he is beaten and struck down. chorai vaaNgoo pakrhee-ai bin naavai chotaa khaa-ee. Those who know their own home, are happy, O Siblings of Destiny. jinHee ghar jaataa aapnaa say sukhee-ay bhaa-ee They realize God within their own hearts, through the glorious greatness of the Guru. antar barahm pachhaani-aa gur kee vadi-aa-ee. He Himself gives gifts, and He Himself bestows understanding; unto whom can we complain? aapay daan karay kis aakhee-ai aapay day-ay bujhaa-ee. O Nanak, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and you shall obtain glory in the True Court. naanak naam Dhi-aa-ay tooN dar sachai sobhaa paa-ee.
  3. I have pasted chapters from Discourses on the Beyond vol 3 in another thread. This is true knowledge from a realised soul. Thanks to Sant Waryam Singh Ji for making this knowledge available to us seekers who are trying to walk on this path.. http://www.sikhawareness.com/index.php/topic/14949-discourses-on-the-beyond-vol-3/
  4. Here you go fellow Spiritual Sikhers take laha of this priceless giyaan. Apologies for the lack of clarity in some of the scans. My scanner doesn't seem to be good enough, but hopefully you can make out the words where it's not so clear. Chapter 1 attached.
  5. Just read the back of Discourses on the Beyond vol 3 and look at the comment by Dr Swami Ram Ji.
  6. That's not entirely true from what I hear, eventually you will be able to hear it 24-7. For the past few days mine has been on loads. I thought it would also manifest when you go internal and begin to close off the nine gates. But mine just starts even when I have my eyes open and my mind is still. Sometimes I wake up in the night and its happening. Just wish it was intoxicating to draw me to listen to it. I will see if I can post some relevant pages from Discourses from the Beyond which will shed some light.
  7. I justed wanted to write a little example to help understand what I believe Guru ji is trying to instruct us with, because if you learn you apply this jugti then you watch how much more stable you mind becomes. You will then notice how when you don’t, you will automatically see how it breaks your inner peace. I am sure you have heard countless saakhi’s of bhagats, mahapursh calling everyone they see WaheGuru. When I first heard this I found it a little strange, why on earth are they calling a person waheguru. I have even been to gurdwaras where this is normal practise. First I thought maybe they are japping naam after ever little phrase. Then when I started listening more and reading SGGS the light dawned. These people are trying to develop what I believe is called bibek bhuddie. As guru ji instructs us to do in the pangti’s above and probably countless others. If you train your mind to see Waheguru in everyone who will you hate? who will you curse? who will you swear at? Who will you do nindiya off? Then this is not just limited to people, look at Waheguru’s whole creation. Waheguru is inside that too but we just don’t have that divine sight to see his parkash in it yet, myself included. But slowly when you start bringing this line of thought into your mind you develop more peace/shanty of mind because you don’t want to hurt anyone or do their nindeya because indirectly your only adding more sins into your basket. And boy do we have millions of them already. This is how guru ji is instructing us how to conquer Krodh and the other vices gurbani talks about. The day the penny dropped for me, I was waling down an escalator and below I saw hundreds of people, and the more I looked at them the more I smiled and just said Waheguru. Then I walked home I saw a tree and I looked at that tree and said to myself guru ji your in their too but one day please show yourself in your true light. The more I remember to put this at the forefront of my mind, when ever a confrontation starts I have now come to hate it and think this person is has lost it and I wont let him destroy my inner piece which with his kirpa I am trying to so hard to develop. Just silently start japping waheguru in your mind and do not be drawn into any kind of confrontation. You see how most times the situation just dissolves itself. If the other person doesn't stop, just step back with nimerta and say "Tuwno Jaadha Patha Ji" and walk away. Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Waheguru. Appologies for my spelling mistakes...
  8. This is the very problem I have come to realise, no one is willing to tell us when we are hearing the anhad bani and how it manifests. I seriously recommend you read Discourses on the Beyond volume 3. Which briefly mentions visions and sounds. From my own limited knowledge all I know is listen with 100% attention on the waheguru mantar to stop your thoughts and keep you mind in check and stop it from wondering, This is what i'm reading again and again in SGGS. When the anhad shabad begins to be heard then you focus on that which will take more effort. If your seeing visions and your mind is engaging and your thinking wow look at that then your mind is playing tricks on you and your kidding yourself that you have managed to still your mind. Place 100% faith in Waheguru shabad to take you where it wants to. Guru will take you when the time is right. The only place it will take you is back from where it came, i.e. Waheguru. But once again I can't say this enough you have to learn to still your thoughts. I can't even do that properly myself yet. Don't force yourself through tunnels unless some abyaasi pursh who you place full trust in instructs you to do so. Even I'm confused about the anhad shabad, sometimes it gets really loud and sometimes I can hardly hear it. At which point I revert to the Waheguru mantar. Also if this thing becomes very loud how will I function day to day. Someone is talking to me and I can hear this sound in my ears. lol The only nashani I know of for dasaam duar entry is anhad shabad will be heard there and also you will begin to smell a beautiful fragerance. Everthing else is just an illusion of maya to distract you. I hope someone with more experience will respond to you if they can help. As I read SGGS and something along these lines appears which might help us, I will post. The problem I face, and I'm sure others out there also, is that we have been given too much knowledge of different techniques. Rather than starting from the beginning and progressing we know focus here focus there, you will see this you will see that. It all in our mind now so it won't be difficult for the mind to say let me give them what they are expecting. That is why again and again we are told just focus on the shabad only and you can't go wrong. tbh i'm not helping by posting my experience because i'm adding more fuel into our already over active minds. Become 0 then guru ji will fill you up with true knowledge which is practical not theoretical from books. I should really take my own advice because I am just as bad. We are too keen to know jugti's techniques, what will happen, i want this i want that. If the shabad does its magic we will be completely dead mentally when we meet waheguru, so any hopes, wishes and desires will be gone. Then at that point you will ask for TRUE NAAM and that ONLY. Even I don't know what that could possibly be. Hope that helps, Ji.
  9. I'm really beginng to feel I shouldn't be writing all this stuff because I don't want be held responsible for leading anyone up the wrong path. If I say anything wrong or you guys out there feel too much is being said, please let me know and I will stop. I read a pungti not long ago that said, first liberate yourself before you try and liberate others........ I am not trying to liberate anyone but merely inspire others to walk the path as I'm trying to do so. If you guys make it to waheguru first please let me him know his Sikh is trying to find him and be in his charan.
  10. There is a little bit explained in Discources on the Beyond books written by Sant Waryam Singh. But it consists more of instructions of how to progress... I have heard that nothing beats having the sangat of someone who has actually gone through the stages because there will be many hurdles along the way and Maya will try its absolute best to hold you back or distract you on your path. For example when you start seeing lights of the different chakras/taats poeple can get lost by just looking at them thinking they made it. I don't even have the answer because I haven't seen any lights yet. I think you need to remain focused on the dhun because shabad is higher than taats/colours. Any kind of vision is considered maya and to be ignored. But to contradict that how will one know when Waheguru is staring one in the face? I guess only time will tell. May Waheguru guide us all safely to his pavitar charan... On this marg we have to be patient and persevere on, just have faith and keep walking. Myself included. gobi(n)dh milan kee eih thaeree bareeaa || This is your chance to meet the Lord of the Universe.

  13. A 4 day Kirtan darbar takes place every 2 years in Singapore. This years darbar is available to watch online at http://new.livestream.com/sikhinside/naamras You can checkout the poster to see who they had this time.... Enjoy...
  14. Chakras not yet. Why are you seeing colours? I believe I am hearing the anhad shabad which gurbani says is the voice of waheguru. It's very weak but becoming more and more present. I can't make out the instruments yet, it is a very strange sound. Hope it will become more clearer as I learn to listen to it and absorb myself into it. Please note that my posts are my own personal experiences and I do not profess to be any kind of subject expert on the matter. Just a simple Guru Ka Sikh trying to walk on the path to meet my maker.... I leave the route he wants me to travel entirely in his hands.
  15. Here is a short saakhi from one of baba ji's kautak. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9RULrN3GQI Enjoy....
  16. Very strange experience whilst doing simran yesterday. Felt something was spinning round and round inside. Actually made me feel quite dizzy and light headed. Came across the following pangtis a week ago on Ang 404. I wonder... God has created Maya of the three qualities; tell me, how can it be crossed over? tarai gun maa-i-aa barahm kee keenHee kahhu kavan biDh taree-ai ray. The whirlpool is awesome and unfathomable; only through the Word of the Guru`s Shabad is one carried across. ||2|| ghooman ghayr agaah gaakhree gur sabdee paar utree-ai ray. ||2||
  17. If I close my eye's for an extended period of time a void begins to open up and I can see a kind of dark blue/purpleish background as opposed to pitch black. Not sure if that's just from light entering through the eye lids or its the colour of the agya charkra beginning to show itself. Anyone else willing to share their experiences or this is going to be a one person thread?
  18. Waheguru! I can't say it's happening day and night yet but only occasionally. Ang 360. In the Lord`s City, he sits in his Yogic posture, and he forsakes his desires and conflicts. siv nagree meh aasan baisa-o kalap ti-aagee baadaN The sound of the horn ever rings out its beautiful melody, and day and night, he is filled with the sound current of the Naad. ||2|| sinyee sabad sadaa Dhun sohai ahinis poorai naadaN. ||2||

  20. Was just reading Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and came across the following lines by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji which just blew me away. It's very high avasta of which he explains, but we must aim for it.... Ang 351 The Name has no form or outline; it vibrates with the unstruck Sound Current; through the Word of the Shabad, the Immaculate Lord is revealed. ||1|| tis roop na raykh anaahad vaajai sabad niranjan kee-aa. ||1|| One can speak on this only when he knows it. karay vakhi-aan jaanai jay ko-ee. 21. Its been a few days now since my last post. At night when it's quiet I can hear two different types of sound towards my right ear. One sounds like some kind of air instrument in which you would blow. I can't describe it because I have nothing to compare it to. The other is some kind of tingling sound, like some kind of bells but higher in pitch. It's not very loud, so on a volume scale of 1-10 I would put them at about 2. It doesn't take much to drown them out. I can't say I'm finding them intoxicating yet, but then again to be honest neither was the Waheguru jaap when I initially started. Now the more I do the more it's growing on me. Hopefully the more I listen to these internal sounds the more they will grow on me too. I am observing my mind is becoming more still and focused when I do simran and less thoughts are entering my mind. The tone and tempo of my simran has become consistent and I think found the right setting which feels good to me. May Waheguru bless us all with his Naam Simran.
  22. That night I never slept a wink. I had a constant sound in my ear. My state of mind has become quite biragee and whilst listening to kirtan/simran yesterday the tears were just flowing. When I now say Waheguru it definitely feels as if the voice is coming from the chest. The anand from the simran feels a lot more sweet. Don't feel like working or doing anything. Just feel like reading gurbani and listening to Waheguru Mantar.
  23. I made a big big big mistake by stopping when I did. :-( Oh well, know better next time.
  24. I am not sure if I should write this but think I might have just experienced something. I was lying down on the sofa just thinking about waheguru when I had this urge to do simran. I started the jaap and my voice sounded so clear. I became totally engrossed in the sound and then all of a sudden my voice and breath suddenly merged into perfect union all by themself without me trying to force it. Then it felt like a ball of energy started shooting up and down inside of me between my chest and navel. It was really powerful. All of a sudden I became aware of what was happening to me so I stopped out of fear. I'm still a little shaken up by the experience.
