    thats nonsense

Can’t say I have ever heard that. They do say don’t just treat it as geet for it contains Brahmgyan. But we won’t appreciate the depths of the words until someone with higher insights explains the subtle hints contained within the words. Most just read and sing over them.

So what do you both suggest, shall I keep on walking my path without any particular teacher among these. Keep on picking tits and tats from here and there with SGGS as my everything as sukhpreet says.

Do you feel drawn to one particular persons teaching you have heard who you feel will show me the path? If you do , then take instructions from them and then just do the practical. Try not to look at every teachers  preaching. This is very hard to do. I’m still fighting the urge myself to not listen to others, because I can spend hours listening  but not doing.  Give one teacher an opportunity to guide you for a while and see how you get on. Don’t just collect gyan from all because when simran starts gyan needs to be forgotten and if you have too much teaching in your head it just makes going inwards more difficult. Listen to enough to keep yourself motivated on the path. I didn’t appreciate these wise words when I heard them first years ago. I wanted more and more....

i believe you have spoken to a few now, start homing in on one  to guide and help you.

All I’m saying is don’t get trapped in all the gyan gathering. When you look back you may realise you wasted more time collecting that than doing the practical.

Rest who am I to tell you what is right or wrong for you. When I look at myself this is the mistake I’m beginning to see. It’s like quick sand that is very difficult to escape. Keep a control now on yourself if you can. I am not in the least bit trying to discourage you, just trying to warn you because I see myself in your posts. All the Gurmukhs are satkarjog, choose wisely friend.

Yes he's right... I mean back in those days when I started Simran, sehaj subhay I started feeling tickles at my naval area and my personal experience says that Simran at naval area brings amrit into our mouth before anhad  sounds.

Here's a pick worth listening for all abhiyaasis

Sound gets really distorted after 3:15 you can’t make anything out.

  5. What restraints should be put on the mind.

    1. Lok ladjyaya - Feeling embarrassed when doing seva or Simran
    2. Haumai - Ego
    3. Dubdha, Devesh, Nafrat - Duality (having second thoughts on the teachings), Revenge, Hatred
    4. Nindaya / Chugli - Slandering someone to raise one's own profile. Gossiping

All these 4 lead to Hatred.

What's left if we remove these 4? Pyaar

I think Dasam Bani has this effect. I noticed vibrations in heart area once only when doing Brahm Kavach path.

In the last two months, my spirituality has declined.

@Sat1176@Mooorakh @Lucky  Just yesterday, my ringing/insect sounds increased but I had this spinning sensation, headache , nausea and vomited several times. I couldn’t  do anything else not even look at phone. So I was just focusing on breath.  I also overslept that day and maybe that had a role in it ? Have you guys noticed any connection between increased ringing and dizziness/nausea. Even right now i feel slight sensation of spinning and some ringing. Uncomfortable feeling. Thanks.

    Sounds like you got vertigo.

@Ragmala best you take guidance from Simranjeet Singh or Dharamjeet Singh. Who ever you have a good relationship with.

i know a lady who hears loads of sounds but then often suffers from balance issues.

Even i am stuck at this.

Also you already mentioned about various planes in your previous comments.

@Sat1176 How far you have reached. Seems like the first one is the toughest one to overcome.

Previous experiences seem to come and go. At this present time I’m back at the insects sounds which have been hearing for a long time. On some rare occasions I hear the high pitched continuous sehaj dhun.

I’m hearing a weird water dripping sound sometimes. It's like one drop is falling from some height and falling in a pool of water. Wondering if it’s in my house or in my head. Probably some pipe.

  8. I was just listening to Akath Katha and heard the following which I found quite interesting.

    Guru Amar Das Ji states:

    Anand bha-i-aa mayree maa-ay Satguroo mai paa-i-aa.

I am in bliss, o my mother, for I have found my True Guru.

Satgur ta paa-i-aa sahj saytee man vajee-aa vaaDhaa-ee-aa.

I have found the True Guru, through perfect harmony, and in my mind are sounds of celebrations.

Who is Guru Amar Das ji referring to as mayree maa-ay, his mother?

Atma is the mother which is the power force behind everything. It is inside and outside of us in Naam shabad form.

    Satguru is Nirankar (Father).

Mind of Guru Amar Das first went to his mother (Naam) which then led him to his father Nirankar (Parkash).
