  1. I think Kuljug is a state on mind, the person who is effect by Kuljug is a person who is practicing Falsahood.
  2. Oo ok makes sence, I think Nostradamus wasnt a Christian but followed Satanism please correct me if im wrong? But most Christians seem to read his prophecies and take it to heart?
  3. This has been troubling me a bit, i was just woundering who is anti-christ? Are Sikhs or poeple of other religions Anti-Christ?
  4. Guru Ji always called a Sikh a Sikh because a Sikh is always learning. Saying that you've learned everything and cant be told be taught anymore or have no need to learn anymore you have become a Munmukh, and you forgot your Guru. Sants never forget the Guru.
  5. 1. I would try to be nice to my parents more than usual. 2. I would remember in meditation Waheguru. 3. My wishes would be to be reunited with my Beloved husband. 4. I dont think i should? 5. Hopefully Waheguru. 6. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
  6. Here is an interview with Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, found this to be amazing. Our Guru speaks! Interview with Guru Granth Sahib Ji
  7. I get confused about that difference too, but there is no difference, sometimes Guru is used to say God in Guru Granth Sahib.
  8. THE WORD IS GOD JOHN 1:1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This is sort of the same as saying Bani Hai Guru, Guru Hai Bani: Word is the Guru, Guru is the word.
  9. I dunno how many he's had I dont worship him, I worship the formless creater.
  10. Man this is getting exciting just reading this, ive heard that theres a link with Mecca and Shiva (Shiva being The primal being). http://www.hinduism.co.za/kaabaa.htm Has anyone heard any more stories?
  11. Man why do Sikhs fight with each other? Sikhi stands for brother/sisterhood accept it. Why not have multi-ethic banner?
  12. I think you are right. Because I think Guru Ji said once that you can reach as high as you want. Thanks for bringing it to mind!
  13. I have to disagree with you on this, because you follow the Hadith which contains narrations about the life of the Prophet and muslims copy the way the Prophet lived. Neither does Sikhism because the Natural Laws around us are the Laws of Allah e.g. the way the Earth revolves around the Sun, Laws of Physics, the way a child is born into this world, all laws are created by Allah Sikhism also says the same thing. Sikhism tells us to respect everyone because Allah is in creation. Sikhism says that from Women Kings are Born, how can you call Women Bad? Let me ask you a question? You believe that taxsion is a bad thing, but how comes non-muslims living in muslim countrys are surpose to pay tax? Isnt this a contradiction? And another question why do you need to follow the Hadith? I believe in Allah and recite the name of the Lord. I agree with you that everyone has to be Muslim, to be a Muslim is to submit yourself to the will of Allah. There is no God but Allah, we believe this too. Ik ou-an-Kaar (There is One God)
  14. You dont become a Sikh when you have taken Khanda Daa Amrit, you become Khalsa but still afterwoulds you dont stop learning. I have taken Amrit Naam; meaning Name of God being Amrit itself in another form, but I havent taken Khanda Daa Amrit yet but I do want to. I remeber a lady who has taken Amrit once said, "Is there such a thing as a bad student?" And she also said, "Should the pupil still have the right to call him/herself a student"? I personally feel that everyone here including me is putting thewall off being a Sikh because we're arguing in ourselves (Sounds familiar!!!) =============================================== Read the shabad below. This is from Guru Granth Sahib. Guru Ji is saying what is a Sikh. Fourth Mehl: gur sathigur kaa jo sikh akhaaeae s bhalakae out(h) har naam dhhiaavai || One who calls himself a Sikh of the Guru, the True Guru, shall rise in the early morning hours and meditate on the Lord's Name. oudham karae bhalakae parabhaathee eisanaan karae a(n)mrith sar naavai || Upon arising early in the morning, he is to bathe, and cleanse himself in the pool of nectar. oupadhaes guroo har har jap jaapai sabh kilavikh paap dhokh lehi jaavai || Following the Instructions of the Guru, he is to chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. All sins, misdeeds and negativity shall be erased. fir charrai dhivas gurabaanee gaavai behadhiaa out(h)adhiaa har naam dhhiaavai || Then, at the rising of the sun, he is to sing Gurbani; whether sitting down or standing up, he is to meditate on the Lord's Name. jo saas giraas dhhiaaeae maeraa har har so gurasikh guroo man bhaavai || One who meditates on my Lord, Har, Har, with every breath and every morsel of food - that GurSikh becomes pleasing to the Guru's Mind. jis no dhaeiaal hovai maeraa suaamee this gurasikh guroo oupadhaes sunaavai || That person, unto whom my Lord and Master is kind and compassionate - upon that GurSikh, the Guru's Teachings are bestowed. jan naanak dhhoorr ma(n)gai this gurasikh kee jo aap japai avareh naam japaavai ||2|| Servant Nanak begs for the dust of the feet of that GurSikh, who himself chants the Naam, and inspires others to chant it. ||2||
