Tsingh what do you think about the idea?

why are some great gursikhs called Bhai, while others are called Baba.. why is it Bhai Mani Singh, and not Baba Mani Singh.. not Bhai Deep Singh etc...

Maybe if you would discuss something that did'n have to do with Islam all the time.. for the past few months, all that has been discussed and debated has been Islam and if you are not debating Islam, then you are fighting eachother ... The reason i stay on this forum is due to the "Good old days", the debates from 2003-2004 where there is an ocean of knowledge to attain... try do have some more futile debates. There are several scholars on this site, its a shame that they are not sharing their knowledge by writing articles, or recording katha on their computers and uploading them to sikhawareness.com for the rest of sangat to download. i have heard an awesome katha by Javanmard on Baisakhi 1699 from a sikh radio programme... its a shame that these katha's are only done when someone has the opportunity to go live on radio... you all have a computer, you propbably have a mic.. RECORD, and share your knowlegde with us... this is what members of various religions do in scandinavia, and its a huge succes...They even have "live" preachings on internet programs such as Paltalk where a scholar or learned person gives a speech, and afterwards people ask questions... and then after that they upload the entire mp3 to the internet..

Baba Harnam Singh ji in his book says he had darshan of Prophet Muhammad saws... i've read of sufi's that had darshan of Prophet Jesus..

im not a scholar on Gurbani, but i dont think that those hymns are written as an attack on those avatars mentioned.. It sounds more like it is talking about the Worship of one God, and then saying that all of these prophets and avatars eventually died, so they are not worthy of Worship, and as to the part of "but without the devotion of One Lord, no one achieved redemption" it is maybe saying that just by being a follower of some religion, you do not gain redemption, because even thought Rasol, Krishna, Vishnu were among the highest of the high, even they had to worship the One God.. so the hymns i would say are rather talkin about true active worship, than passive worship where one says "Well since im already hindu, sikh, muslim i dont have to lift a finger". thats the way i see it

can someone also tell me who Baba Budha Shah is? There is a temple dedicated to him in Anandpur Sahib. it looks like a mosque, as the bismillah is on the walls, and pictures of Mecca are presented next to that of the Gurus. according to my cousins in India, Guru Gobind Singh has said that he who does not visit this Temple along with a Gurdwara nearby, will have no spiritual succes when visiting the Keshgarh Sahib..

the hazur sahib maryada is how the whole panth did it back in the day what is the proof for this? anyone can claim that their maryada is hundreds of years old.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji Ki Fateh. I am writing this topic in a sad and beautiful state of mind. i have just read some of the beautiful poems of Bhai Nand Lal ji today, and im just numb. I feel so small and humble and ashamed at the moment. Reading a few of his poems has made me think about how the relationsship between the Guru and his disciple should be,- that of love. I have till today thought it should be that of submission -keeping rehat and considering the Guru as a mere teacher you obey. Bhai Nand Lals work has opened my eyes completely. I am so sad that i have not read his works earlier as they give so much depths to my faith. its undescribable, i do not know what to say. Sangat jio, please spread the beautiful works of Bhai Nand Lal to every corner of the world and let sikhs know how beautiful Guru Gobind Singh was. with love and humility. Aad Gure namah, Jugaad Gureh namah Satgure namah Siri Guru deve namah.
