  1. lets not make this debate about Islam, as most debates on this site are already on islam lol.. lets stick to Gurmat
  2. yes please do niranjana as this topic of nirgun sargun is quite confusing
  3. Quran was written down by the prophet Muhammad and his succesor Imam Ali... Many hadith clearly state this... are there any differences between the Kartarpur bir and the Guru Granth Sahib we have today, besides the saloks of Guru Tegh Bahadur Mahraj..
  4. that is nice to hear bro:D.. have a nice trip, and bring back lots of pictures of the shrines dedicated to the holy Imams
  5. i kind of agree with Kharag Singh... i think Khande da amrit is/was only meant for warriors, but then again, what is the amrit for the masses then, that wishes to live the life of a sant, but not that of the sipahi. and what about Nirmale, Udasis and sewa panthis... did they recieve Khande di pahul?
  6. it is not possible to learn shastar vidiya here. what is shastar vidiya btw? is it an advanced form of gatka or?
  7. how many singhs on this forum have been taking fighting lessons in some martial art? I will look to see if there is any brasilian jijutsu club here in scandinavia... i was thinking about one of the eastern budhist karate clubs as they also seem to put alot of effort on the spiritual aspect
  8. Gurfateh. i am thinking about starting Wing Tsun, or some other Martial art, so i would like to know what you think of this martial art, or whehter you can recommend some other martial art..
  9. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh. i would like to know what scholars and brahm gians of Gurmat think of the 5 khands mentioned in Japji sahib. Most people would regard it as spirituel levels of man, but in its literal meaning it talks about the world and universes. how is this to be understood according to Guru Nanaks philosophy? i have come across different views on this variyng from rejection of it being spiritual levels, - the khands just being world besides this, and other authors such as daljeet singh who reject Sach Khand as being accesable for human souls..
  10. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh. is the above question asks. Is amrit meant for everyone at the first level of religion, whereas one enters the second and higher levels of religon (The Tariqat as it has been reffered to on this page) or is it means for the elite that consists of a few persons only. on the glorious day of Vaisakhi 1699 only 5 men stood up in a crowd of 40.000 men which shows how serious taking amrit is. what do you think? Is Khande da amrit at the first level of religion, or is it only meant for a few who have reached higher levels of religion?
  11. it should also be noted that the term Baba is a term that Alewis give their great spiritual teachers. Bhai Gurdass also once adressed the first five Guru's as Peers...
  12. veer ji, what is meant by Satguru Jesus, as i have never heard you say Satguru Muhammad, Abraham etc...
  13. The bible it self says that Jesus is one with the Father.
  14. namjap: Those men who act according to the orders of women are impure, filthy and foolish. Those impure men are engrossed in sexual desire; they consult their women and walk accordingly. ang 304 of Maharaj ooooh Sikhi is also degrading towards woman.. you should leave sikhi now...
  15. Allah swt send hoories from heaven for Kane and Able to marry according to some sources. it should be noted that Adam and Eve were only the first humans in this Age, and that there has been thousands of creations and humanities prior to this.

  18. only two singhs have replied in this debate. looks like people would rather participate in debates where you argue with each other, than to discuss more important matters.
  19. i do not see the problem with people changing religions. people should mind their own businesses
  20. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa, Waheguru ji ki Fateh. After having seen "The Last Samurai" for the first time and afterwards reading about their history, it made me think and reflect upon how similiar the samurais history is with that of the Khalsa. Here we have a warrior tradition that was destroyed, not by the enemy, but by modern technology and reforms. We see that the remaning samurais were afterwards treated as outcast by the japanese the same way the panth is treating and viewing the Nihangs. The same thing is happening to the Khalsa and panth. It is degrading due to modern reforms of Sikhi and the technology around us. those that keep to the puratan lifestyle are being ridiculed by the majority of modern sikhs. what is your views on what can be done to preserve the heritage of the Gurus, before it will be completely wiped out by this modern era.
  21. The way i see it, is that He says that when our souls are created and given a human body, then after a while it will fall into the hands of maya, and there is not a single person on earth that "remove" it from maya, except God himself by spreading his wings of grace upon us.
  22. beautiful indeed. may aurangzebs sorry ass burn in hell
  23. that is according to the bible which is a book that has been edited several times throughout history
  24. what kind of God misguides humanity for thousands of years? how do you know the Gurus were pure and sinfree, when all the other 124.000 prophets and millions of avatars all commited sins? if you say that Gurbani states they were, how do you know that the Gurus did not just write this on their own, as there is a possibility that they were sinners. Gurbani tells you not to follow men that are sinners, and at the same time it tells muslims/hindues to be better muslims/hindues and follow Prophet Muhammad/their respective avatar? that makes no sence. are you saying that Gurbani is sending them into the arms of sinners? what kind of God are you obeying?
