    It is not 'in this day and age'. It is ALWAYS. Guru says, "ਸਿਰ ਧਰ ਤਲੀ ਗਲੀ ਮੋਰੀ ਆਓ". One is just physical exercises, second is peer pressure for you, nothing else. Third is the way to go, if one dares.

    Love the Guru, fight the enemies. But this does not sum up Sikhi. It is 'tu hi tu, all friends, no enemies' as you progress, like Bhai kanhaiya saw in Chamkaur.

    An Amritdhari once told me that there is no point in reciting 'Waheguru' unless one receive it from Guru roop Panj Pyare during initiation. It is Gurmantr only when received from Guru.

    I figured it out. Warring factions are none other than 'love' and 'hate'. What drives you will decide your fate?

    Panj pyare are physical roop of Guru/Sant/Sadh. One man guruship is no more in Sikhism. People like Balbir may start their guruship, but it is not part of Sikh tradition.

    It appears to be 'you'. It is still being used. There is famous Punjabi song ਤੁਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣ ਵਤਨਾਂ ਦਾ. People nowadays use ਮਿਰਹਬਾਨੀ instead. Shoes are called ਜੋੜਾ. You will often see ਜੋੜਾ ਘਰ outside Gurudwaras.
