  1. ok thanx and I will try to mention the jatha less if possible, just some of the threads on here today are leading there. also if my "brother" made such noises, maybe I would slap him, I am not sure. My parents would definetly give me a good ticking if I made such noises This reminds me of a time some Singhs were driving me back from a talk. Should I call them Singhs, they are Singhs to me, so I dunno. They were behaving like monkeys, like punching each other, was just weird, and they aren't even people who drink. Maybe they were younger than me so I didn;t understand their behaviour? I do not know if the parents had taught them to behave properly, I actually question some of the parenting of some of the Singh youths I see from the ghettos. Unfortunately, I do not know if they belong to any organisation or not. One time, when one of them was doing bashing of, I think it was some sect, I can remember, pperhaps naamdharis or radhasoamis. I asked him if we should believe in sects, or was it sikhs, that reject bani from Guru Granth Sahib. He said no we shouldn't. So, I am confused. But then maybe they look weird at me when I ask questions like that, maybe they don't. Hopefully its obvious to them why I ask such questions, I hope they are intelligent enough to figure out why I ask. .. ok this is off topic now, i am just talking now lol
  2. Nope, but that would be interesting, I will have to do some more shastar vidiya training to be prepared if that ever happens. I don't usually hang around the areas that alot of these Singhs might hang around, for example the ghettos near me. I am not very good at telling which people belong to which jatha if I have only chatted to them or met them. However certain youtube videos make it more clear. There are some Singhs that preach something they learnt here and there. There are some Singhs that seem to have AKJ influenced views such as only sikhs can reach sachkhand, but then someone says taksali, another person says something else like they practise AKJ gatka. I gets confused that I can't be bothered. Some people have jatha influenced views but then they say "I don't belong to that jatha". ok, and only time I have usually had abuse for going shastar vidiya is from some clueless singh kid in leeds on msn, who wears dumalla, but has a lot of insults about people's mothers. Finally theres some people who ain;t got a clue and just say "its only a jatha that does kirtan"
  3. But what if, the mosque that was converted, was perhaps full of the "wrong" kind of followers. IF you get what I mean?
  4. Not at all, I am actually saying what I heard. And it makes them sound like some of the guys in there are just making fun. I have not mentioned any "Singhs of Guru Gobind Singh", I have just mentioned people. I do not know which one is warrior Singh of Guru Gobind Singh and which one isn't. Do people get kicks from making animal noises? I think it is ok to call Singhs of Guru Gobind Singh animals as long as the animal is a lion Also I think lion or tiger noise is ok for battle, and is intimidating. But monkey and other noises, hmm, that is something else. Please tell me this significance of these noises, especially for kirtan and not on the battlefield? Is the person who notices the deed more significant, or the person who does the deed? And why do kirtanees let people who make noises sit with them? "people trying to practice their sikhi" Yes quite, "their" sikhi I try not to practise my "own" sikhi, Their would be no point if I practised my own, I want to learn and gain knowledge. Should I also keep quiet if people are practising "their" sikhi in the commitees taking money for personal use, or perhaps something else? Ok, just to clarify, I am specifically talking about people in this video about the noises. I have found a video where there was even normal and calm simran done by some AKJ singhs, and also they seemed like older singhs. But, taking the mick is taking the mick. And my personal opinion, some of the guys sitting in the back are taking the mick, it doesn't seem like mastana to me, I could be wrong. I mean, joking aside, if I was influenced by these people, maybe I also do movements and noises. Following/copying what fellow sangat/crowd does, doesn't always make it right or wrong. If I honestly have called TRUE singhs of Guru Gobind Singh as types of "animals" that are not befitting to them, or the movements or noises are in fact divine and spiritual, then Bul Chuk Maaf Karna, otherwise, I stand by what I said, or rather heard from the video(s) ...
  5. hmm yeh if i jump up and bend my knees, I can kinda levitate for a second if I time it right. OK, I keep having dreams about levitating, I guess maybe I was a bit obssessed with it but still keep having the dreams, I think I watched too many dragonball z cartoons lol
  6. I think the some of authors are actually anti-neo-sikhi, and not anti-sikhi. Big difference
  7. Google videos is going to permanently close to uploads soon, so if any full videos need to be uploaded please upload soon
  8. yes very true, I wasn't trying to be intolerant really I was wondering what would happen in front of the more spicier nihang singhs, such as ones that held gun to Nihang Niddar Singh, if I got that right? And about naamdharis and AKJ and others (cos obviously it isn't just AKJ on their own that do things), it is easier to be tolerant towards people who don't attack you or do you nindya. So, we can be tolerant, but have to be aware as well if they try anything, like 1984 influence bomb planting or something, or ganging up on someone because they practised shastar vidiya? OK, I can go on and on... Sometimes I, and other people, just say things that a fanatic says and put it upside-down and redirect towards them. Now that is funny, and maybe teaches a lesson Of course, I am not perfect, so things can be redirected towards me as well. I also want to learn in life. But yeh I understand you
  9. hmmm yes, even all of us sikhs are going to be generalised because of hatred towards hindus amongst other things that has come from the fanatics and Singh Sabha orientations, due to sikh history being marginalised.
  10. ok perhaps mainstream was the wrong term to use lol. OF course, internet is also another influence nowadays of what is portrayed as islam. UK sikhs, in a way, also generalise most hindus and also Nihang Niddar Singh and people who practise shastar vidiya to RSS, amongst many other things. Alot of muslims in UK try to give dua and "invitations" and it doesn't favour their image.
  11. I think this video is interesting, http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pcG-u3L1nGY after 5 minutes its turns into a full blown disco, lol feel free to leave comments, although I think the supporters of this video have stopped their arguing for now, perhaps they are plotting to reply with something new from one of the people, all i can hear is HOO-hoo-HOO-hoo and at 7:09 u will hear a brruuaah at 7:58 comes a jungle monkey this is power of naam dhrirta :? and some other vids don't even sound like simran, it sounds like beating someone up while saying waheguru!!!
  12. hmm, yes, but can dharma be spread in a maseet? Also, we have sufi writings in Adi Guru Granth Sahib right? And they are not kataar muslmaan like mainstream. Ok, I cannot give a clear opinion, I am just trying to make something of it.
  13. Yes but have AKJs written specific books about specific groups of nihangs (besides maybe Nihang Niddar Singh)? I think some AKJs might end up getting themselves in more trouble one day. I think the best way to have AKJs targetted is to expose their parchar against raagmala. Also, what would happen if AKJ performed their "unique" amrit sanchar ceremony in front of nihangs, would it end up in jhatka of AKJs??? I know there were nihangs involved in the anti-Ram Raheem protests because he started his "new type" of amrit, sooo...., I was thinking.........
  14. Ok, but we'd like to share the "Rape of the Sikh people by the British Empire" with you
  15. lol yes this simran certainly seems to come from a certain jatha in mind But spreading it's wings has a hint of irony
  16. so what did SS have to say about this, was it the typical hate?
  17. ultra extremist paranoia, good thing the singh sabha name is used with these people here they are bashing nihangs: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=d4pGbuznNpU&...re=channel_page
  18. Another one of Panthic Weekly's articles and their paranoia (yawns) http://www.panthic.org/news/124/ARTICLE/4679/2009-01-16.html Hounslow Gurdwara Shamelessly Promotes Niddar Book (Op/Ed) Friday 16th of January 2009 Panthic Weekly News Bureau Hounslow (KP)—On Monday, 12th January 2009, the All Parliamentary Group for the Punjabi Community in Britain celebrated the 3rd centenary celebrations of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at the House of Commons. At the same event, they had a book launch for ‘Nihang’ Niddar Singh & Parmjit Singh’s controversial book “In the Master’s Presence: The Sikhs of Hazoor Sahib (Volume I: History).†Last week the official video was released of ‘Nihang’ Niddar Singh admitting to “misleading the Sikh congregation†at Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib during the 300 years celebration in the presence of Singh Sahib Giani Kulwant Singh (Jathedar of Takhat Sri Hazur Sahib). It is widely known that in Niddar’s so-called Shaster Vidiya classes, university talks, seminars, and Sanatanist websites, he encourages women to cut their hair, believes women don’t need to take Amrit, that there are two types of Amrit—Khande ki Pahul for men and Kirpan Di Pahul for women, propagates the caste system, makes serious allegations against Damdami Taksal, slanders the S.G.P.C and Sri Akal Takhat Sahib as being neo-Sikhs, and believes in the worship of Shiva, Ganesh & other Hindu deities. Astonishingly, despite countless exposés of admin cut Niddar Singh circulating across the Internet on Panthic Weekly, e-groups, forums, and websites, and the fact that the majority of UK Gurdwaras have banned him from doing any form of parchar, the Hounslow Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara showed open support for this thankhaiya and anti-Panthic RSS agent. Despite, the Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Alice Way, Hounslow, claiming to support the Sri Akal Takhat and Panthic Sikh Rehit Maryada, they helped to organise Niddar Singh’s book launch and showed support for the anti-Panthic sanatanist through emailing the Sangat on e-groups, advertising the book launch. The email sent on the ‘Sikh News Discussion group’ stated: “…This landmark book explores the history of Hazoor Sahib, the 4th Sikh Takht (Temporal and Spiritual Authority). This exotic and unfamiliar world is brought to life with over 150 sumptuous illustrations of paintings, photographs, portraits, maps, artifacts and documents from archives and private collections from around the world. Niddar Singh Nihang is an expert in Shastar Vidya, the Sikh battlefield arts. Parmjit Singh is an independent researcher specialising in the photographic history of 19th Century Punjab.†The Hounslow Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara needs to clarify their position on their stand in supporting anti-Sikh elements. The entire Sikh Sangat are urged to ring Sri Guru Singh Sabha Hounslow and ask them why they allowed such an event and why they supported Niddar Singh’s book launch. The Sangat hopes that the Gurdwara Committee will make an apology to the Sikh Sangat and promise that they will not support or allow anti-Sikh forces to do Parchar in the future. Further information or clarification can be obtained from Mohan Singh Nayyar, General Secretary, Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Hounslow (Tel: 020 8577 2793). 19. hi, is there anyway to display threads like this to the public, sometimes I just want to show threads to people not on this site, but can't because they have to log in. So I was just asking...
  20. hahaha thats funny lol heres some more: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Tuo1WgAIeFo do u think they would call him back for kirtan after that parhcar? lolol Prof Darshan Singh sounds a lot like some of the kirtan cassettes i used to hear when i was younger, so he does kirtan cassettes?
