The writer refers a lot to the Balmiki Ramayan so I think it is a version of that. Very nice to read and easy to tunderstand. Bargain price from India.

If you think Osho was something, read more about Guru Nanak who inspired Osho, and you will see how amazing Guru Sahib was.

chatanga1 got a reaction from Premi in Muslim Brother Praising Khalsa Aid/Sikhs
Humble namaskar to anyone who helps others. But here in the UK whilest this crises was making headline news, I counted at least 8 muslim tv channels who were supporting the same cause and raising a lot more mone than khalsa aid. There was a case in Pakistan where a sikh girl of 17 was abducted and forced to marry a muslim this year. As of yet she has not returned home. khalsa aid really could have helped that family with moeny for legal representation. We don't make any headway with one or two brownie points.
On the other hand its good to see you back!

chatanga1 got a reaction from paapiman in Sri Charitropakhyan Sahib jee Series - Charitar #26
yeah bro, I'm begining to think that there is a lot more to Charitars than meets the eye. it the subtleties that you need a hawk-eye for. Otherwise you are just skimming the story.

Yes this is something that only the man would be able to see (although and his wife would have known about it. )
So its looks at possbily saying that this punishment for you is something only you know about and the person who did it to you. Could this allude to the fact that only the Queen and the Prince knew the truth?

chatanga1 got a reaction from Premi in Jagtar Singh Jaggi Petition
Please consider signing this petition and spreading awareness about it on social media. Jaggi runs the neverforget84.com website and has been picked up by ravan sena aka panjab police about a month ago. Respect to this brother who has done so much in keeping the information of 1984 accessible for the wider public.
UK govt as usual is showing how weak they are in assisting british citizens of colour abroad.

chatanga1 got a reaction from paapiman in Sri Charitropakhyan Sahib jee Series - Charitar #26
Good work bro. I have had a look at this translations first of this and can see one or two places where Bindra's efforts are not up scratch but in this case they do not deflect from the central message of the charitar. I will post up my own translation soon.
On reflection of this, what we see a man pretending to be something he is not. He is a trader who boasts of bravery. Why would he feel the need to boast to his wife of bravery? Also the word "banik" means trader, i dont know why this has been translated as moneylender. I feel here that the trader is trying to prove his own worth to his wife. Obviously being a trader he will make a half-decent living so money would not be a problem for them (just like for the King and Queen) but there must be something there where the trader feels he has to make up tales about his bravery to keep the interest of his wife.
She obviously knows her husband! She knows her husband is committing no acts of bravery and wishes to put him in his place. The woman devises and plan to test the mans claims shows him to be a weak man. But the translation mentions a tattoo even the the word "khodan" means to carve. I think here it means the woman left him with a visible scar rather than a tattoo as such as it mention that she has a knife with her.
The act of taking his clothes off and being carved with a knife symbolises how he was humiliated and totally under the control of the woman, which symbolises the the orginal story.

Please listen to Sant Baba Kartar Singh jee Bhindranwale talking about a Charitar. A husband plays a Charitar to get rid of his arrogant/rude wife.

chatanga1 reacted to paapiman in There is No "One" Sikh Rehat Maryada (SRM)
The so-called Sikh Rehat Maryada has never been approved, even by the Sri Akal Takht Sahib. It is still a document, which is pending approval. Please spread this message to all Sikhs and create more awareness. No Sikh should call this document as Sikh Rehat Maryada or Panthic Maryada or Sri Akal Takht Maryada, until it has been approved by the Panth.
Please listen to Gyani Hardev Singh jee (who was a SGPC member).
