Parchand got a reaction from Arsh1469 in Guru Hargobind And Painde Khan
jaikaara those kind of comments achieve little but close the mind.
we should delve further into martial history of Guru HarGobind Sahib Ji if we are to adopt these qualities ourselves

Shastar Naam Mala: Literally translating to 'string of weapons', this is a comprehensive list of weapons used in battle and covers 1318 verses. Many names of weapons are given in addition to references of great warriors (historical and mythological) who wealded them. Many weapons that were in their infancy at the time of the Guru, such as cannons and rifles, are also mentioned.

guv & dal, you make some fair points there. it is a divisive tactic & its clearly only being done for short-term political reasons.
i remember back in the day, one of the reasons indira gandhi did operation bluestar was to pander to the right wing ahead of elections. her friend maggie thatcher made a lot of comparable comments on immigration to the one cameron made this week, e.g.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/margaret-thatcher/6906503/Margaret-Thatcher-complained-about-Asian-immigration-to-Britain.html
her aim was to get support from the NF, he's doing the same with the BNP.
same old tories

Parchand got a reaction from dalsingh101 in Future Of Singh Sabha Movement?
some people view sikhee as dharam, others as religion. only Waheguru knows what the future holds.
all movements, and indeed anything manmade has a life cycle. it begins, flourishes and dies. all are subject to Kaal so it is linear.
there was a time when SarbLoh was buried deep underground, then over many centuries knowledgeable Blessed Souls took form to teach us humans how to extract it, then how to create the weapons, then how to perfect using them and so on.
similarly dharam was formed by Akaal Purakh and will live on throughout the ages because Truth is Eternal.
