  1. No such thing as a Sikh convert. Sounds like the usual revisionist BS you get spoon-fed by the 'yoof' in the west.
  2. 'Sikh soc' is a misnomer, it is actually a punjabi soc. But of course we want to exclude everyone so sikh soc it is. I have to say, I don't give two shits what they do, live your life, reap what you sow, nothing else is your business. "Acting" against this is just going to make you come off like a fanatic retard with no respect for individual freedom (which, if you do 'act' is what you are), everyone is accountable for their own actions, none of your business really. Whining about it here like a coward is going to get nothing done, they aren't a secret society, their email and student reps are visible, if you have a problem with them email them directly instead moaning like a cow. Sorry if this seems harsh, but our 'fearles race of warriors' is full of cheap talking cowards who don't have the balls or decency to deal with things in the right way. Trying to stop them by force is an act of cowardice. If you don't like the events, don't go. I hear the German soc is more fun anyway
  3. Nice, amardeep. As for the dude asking why we have the ability to sin, after which we get punished. You may think you don't want to be punished, but in my opinion everyone gets what they want out of life. Most times you sin you do it out of masochistic tendencies, trying to punish yourself. There is no good or bad; right or wrong. You reap what you sow. 'Getting punn' is not an aim in itself, we need to transcend punn and paap. There is always a caveat, there is no black and white dichotomy between the two.
  4. First of all 'respect and appreciation for fellows' is not a destiny, and if it were, it is not mutually exclusive from Armageddon. Second of all, according to Sikhism the world is going to descend into chaos, people that believe in God will be killed and Kalki avtar will rock up and kick some butt.
  5. I am a figment of your imagination.
  6. I don't give a monkey's ass who wrote it, if you can't recognise a good message for the author, then you are blind.
  7. " 10. AND there was a certain man who was blind from his birth. And he denied that there were such things as Sun, Moon, and Stars, or that colour existed. And they tried in vain to persuade him that other people saw them; and they led him to Iesus, and he anointed his eyes and made him to see. 11. And he greatly rejoiced with wonder and fear, and confessed that before he was blind. And now after this, he said, I see all, I know everything, I am god. 12. And Iesus again said unto him, How canst thou know all? Thou canst not see through the walls of thine house, nor read the thoughts of thy fellow men, nor understand the language of birds, or of beasts. Thou canst not even recall the events of thy former life, conception, or birth. 13. Remember with humility how much remains unknown to thee, yea, unseen, and doing so, thou mayest see more clearly." nice
  8. Again, I disagree, but, also again, probably 'cuz I grew up in Southern Africa. Our most dangerous animals are herbivores, not to say it's valiance is not inspiring. However I do agree with your point about conforming to stereotypes, the animal is clearly not the pushover people 'outside the loop' are led to believe. The real danger with regards to humans is that they know the stereotypes about themselves and start conforming to them.
  9. Not sure what you're trying to prove, there is nothing remarkable I see in that; possibly because I grew up in Africa. If you want to see something really special look up a video of a lioness caring for an eland calf.
  10. He doesn't choose, you choose by your actions. If you do your bhagti correctly you will transcend this play and be free of it. Heaven, hell, birth are part of the same cycle; our aim is to break free from all; where there is no good or bad, sin or virtue and therefore no judgement. Haumai navai naal virod hai. Doe na vasai khatae. Ego and naam cannot exist in the same place, where there is naam there is no judgement. Note that this line also means that where there is ego there cannot be realisation of God, ergo, should you want to realise him you must destroy your self. The illusion of self is what primarily keeps you from realising God. Pheena spoke of duality, in order for your idea to be valid creation and God need to be separate entities, which is not the case. Whether or not you denounce illusion is what decides whether or not you realise Truth.
  11. What she said. Additionally, you repeat his naam so that you keep your attention on him and off of maya. What he is saying is that if you focus on him and ignore all the other shaktia that are trying to distract you you will be liberated. Whether you are liberated or not matters nothing to him, he is everywhere and will be with you no matter where you end up. The point is that you reap what you sow; if you want liberation this is how you do it, that's all.
  12. I often hear talk of eerka in katha, no idea what it means though. Anyone care to explain? Thanks
  13. In the last 10 minutes Harold ends up speaking more sense than Ralphy; dude doesn't seem to know much about the mythology behind Kalyug etc.
  14. Probably cuz they're a bunch of propaganda spreading, dogma-mongering retards that aren't capable of a single independent thought.
  15. Who says there's a law? There are different paths, you reap what you sow etc etc; if you choose to be a muslim then you choose to abide by sharia.
  16. ahahhahahahhahah ahahha the maharishi dude in part 3 jumping up and down calling it levitation was awesome
  17. caveat (noun): a proviso of specific conditions i.e. these things cause sorrow if one is attached to maya and duality, attachment or duality cannot be inferred from their presence. If you can tell me how you know these people are attached to maya and in love with duality from watching a 3 minute clip on youtube then I will take back my point. Otherwise your post is an exercise in false logic.
  18. What type? And what is your point by quoting this? It says nothing in your favour. Both those quotes end with a caveat, unless you are a Brahmgiani, in which case I apologise, you have absolutely no basis for your judgement. Here's a quote for you, not from Guru Sahib, 'Judge not lest ye be judged'.
