  1. Yes, but I'd only recommend it to someone with intellectual fortitude. In the mean time look what I found: http://www.seussville.com/seussville/
  2. I believe Baba Sri Chand Ji contributed "Aad Sach.Jugaad Sach..." slok. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. That comes as no surprise.Lalleshvari - too bahut vigarya munda ha. My favourite books are: 1. Fungus the Bogeyman. 2. Dr. Seuss books, they're so crazy!! Another book series was where there was this Chruch cat and mice and their many adventures; I can't remember what the books were called, maybe "The Church Mice". I used to read a lot in my younger days. Not so much now.Reading is definatey better than TV or computer games.Reading exercises your imagination. If you lack imagination, you lack depth, that's my view. I've got a very strange and prolific imagination
  4. It's beautiful poetic prose by Satguru, poetic prose isn't meant to be scientific!
  5. Satguru Nanak is not stateing anything factual in the above in Sohila.Satguru is alluding to Arti that is done in Hindu temples towards the temple deity.Satguru is describing the Arti which is performed by Nature, the Arti of Vahiguru.Understand?
  6. Well, Ihope you learnt a valuable lesson from this jjj; don't believe in sh*t stirrers and don't jump to conclusions. Make your you get your information straight before beating someone up again. I think you should be very wary of people who do chuglia and make trouble. You should both confront this guy who wanted you two to fight.See how bad people can make you do bad things.Beware of these kinds of people.
  7. I love Nihang Singhs. My Nanakya da Pind is Tanuli near Haria Vela (Hoshiarpur-Phagwara Road) and I have drank their Sukha Degh and reveled in their enthusiasm for Sikhi. The Gurdwara Sahib at Tanuli is called Shaheeda Singha.Baba Nihal Das and Baba Nanak Singh are comemmorated as Shaheed there.Don't know if they were from Tanuli or were martyred there :?: It's too bad they're a bit of dinosaur nowadays  Maybe I'm wrong?
  8. Yes, except the Trai-gun are mostly in control.Only Brahmgyani is in control of Trai-gun, in control of gods no less!
  9. I don't know wether to laugh or cry! If you want to know, it's pronounced haha-thattha; same as in hathia-japia-tapia... in Ardas.Same as English "t". Hath = forceful, disciplined
  10. Did I mention anything about fingers :?: Ashvini-mudra is a Hath Yogic mudra (seal). There's nothing sick about it.
  11. Maybe that's due to hyperventilation.A red veil colours vision when you hyperventilate.I've experienced it.Not recommended.
  12. Doing ashvini-mudra will prevent any kind of defects of anus and rectum. It's easy, I do it all the time All you do is squeeze your anal sphincter muscle for few times.Repeatedly contract the sphincter.Hold, relax, hold , relax. You can do it anywhere, any time It's good for you!
  13. Simple test to see if you are experiencing astral travel/projection or OBE's Tell someone to go in another room.Tell them to write something in large letters on a piece of large paper, and hold it infront of them. You ofcourse won't know what they've written. In another room, go into trance and bring on feeling of seperation from body."Go to" the other room and see what has been written on that piece of paper. Do you think you will see what is written on the paper.Try it and see, why don't you. If anyone would like some advice on these kinds of pseudo-spiritual experiences, then you are welcome to ask me via privare message or on message boards.I will help as best as I can. Beware of Maya-jaal, Kaal-jaal, Mrig-trishna, Gandhrav Nagari etc I will help, just ask.
  14. HeyDudesWassup: There is no need to "explore".Understand this.Do as your Satguru says: Naam Simran.Where does your Satguru mention about astral travel/OBE's?These kinds of things lead to a dead end. I thought people like -lalleshvari- and others knew better.Obviously people are only pseudo-intellectuals, with lots of resource books, who go on the interent, making people think they are Puran Gursikh, am I wrong? Please say I am wrong. The mind is very mamtaa cheez. It is hard not go somewhere where your not supposed to.Concentrate on Naam. People here are very naive about these things, thinking that it's all rosy and beautiful. There are many pitfalls and traps in spiritual endeavor.A person can even develop psychotic disorders.Concentrate on Naam Vahiguru. This is again naivete on your part I'm afraid. What you have said above is based on conjecture and false spiritual detritus; the realm of fantasy and myth making. How do you know that some gursikhs can clearly see through their third eye?Don't get me wrong, I have had similar experiences, but I wouldn't want you believe that, you learn how to experience that. Don't blindly believe, experience.Experience, then abandon Experience, then abandon. Concentrate on Naam Vahiguru.
  15. It is Maya-jaal, illusion which is born of ignorance.Simple as that I'm afraid. It is a symptom of a wandering mind. These kinds of illusions and psychic realities are huge obstacles on the path of Self-Realisation.People underestimate their strength, the reason for these kinds of experiences are to ensare the Yogin in Maya-jaal.To keep the Yogin from entering Turiya/Chautha Pad, and eventually Turiya Atit. If you wish to go around thinking you are performing astral travel, then good luck to you.Just don't say I didn't warn you: you will be going round and round in metaphysical circles! Eventually you will become desillusioned by your spiritual endeavors, and maybe even give up.It can happen you know.It does happen. I speak from experience. If you want to poo-poo my arguments, then that's fine.Know that you can't achieve Guru Dev, unless you have a guide, otherwise you'll be going round in circles. :bling: Cloud-cuckoo land is a prison, don't you know.
  16. I don't think as far as I know, that there is any direct reference to "astral ravel" or "out of body experiences" within Gurbani. I believe that astral travel is mind illusion; now this is coming from a person with experience in meditation and it's various effects. The mind is very powerful at creating illusions.Very powerful.Just one more thing, Neo, you said: Yes, that's all very well, but you do know these are mythical stories which impart spiritual knowledge, don't you?Mythology should never be believed as literal history, that is the realm of delusion and illusory psychic realities. But myhtology is not just silly stories.Get the balance right people. Mythology is neither silly stories nor literal history.Mythology is just how ancients liked to impart esoteric knowledge. I have no need for mythology anymore. Not since...
  17. I'm off to my Pind then.See if I can find my inheritance and strat ploughing my khet That's if there's anything left :?: :?: :?:
  18. That's wrong translation I'm afraid.Satguru Nanak says: Ekaa Mai Jugat Viaa-ee, Tin Chele Parvaan. The One Mother (Maya/Aad Shakti) became pregnant by some special union (Jugat Viaa-ee).Jugat Viaa-ee = special/magical union; and gave birth to three disciples. Now listen up, Ekaa Maee is Aad Shakti, Primal Energy. She unites with Ishvar, which is Primal Consciousness. From the union of Primal Consciousness and Primal Energy are born the Trai-gun, the three qualities of Nature: Rajo Gun, Satto Gun, Tamo Gun.These are anthropomorphically and mythically represented by the Trimurti: Brahma = Rajo gun; Vishnu = Satto Gun; Mahesh = Tamo Gun Understand this. These Trai-gun are present in the macrocosm and microcosm (your body). It is obvious from Gurbani and other Indian scriptures that the Trai-gun are concscious living beings, that is why they have been given the anthropomorphic faces of Brahma, vishnu and Mahesh, along with fanciful, but inspiring and knowledgeable stories. They have been represented as gods for an obviously good reason.Learn what each Gun satnds for and you'll see what I mean. Do you feel anger?Passion?Energetic?Desirous?Lusting? That's Brahma or Rajo Gun. Feeling lucid?Compassionate?Serene?Clear headed?Pure? That's Vishnu or Satto Gun. Feeling depressesd?Unclear head?Lazy?Morbid?Slow? That's Mahesh or Tamo gun. See how these Trai-gun are gods now? They can control us.But there is a way it said that they (Trai-gun/Trimurti) can become your servants. How I wonder? :twisted:How? It is said that the Trai-gun can be (and has been) experienced via meditation.Perhaps as different coloured Roshanee (light)? There are millions and millions of universes, each with there own Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh.Servants of Vahiguru, and Vahiguru de Bhagat. Vahiguru Sacche Patshah.
  19. I see the myhtical personality of Mahesh, as a good role model.Detached yet involved with the world at the same time. Also, Mahesh is born of Ekaa Maa-ee; says so in Jap Ji Sahib. As the anthropomorphic representation of Tamo Gun, I know that Mahesh is a part of me. There are many gods and shakti that reside in the body microcosm. What about Vahiguru?Well, Vahiguru is not a god or goddess. Vahiguru = :?: I wonder Narsingha, can you tell me what you think of the following, from Kabio Baach Benti Chaupai: Mahadev ko kahat Sada Shiv. Nirankar ki cheenat nah bhiv. Who is the Mahadev, who the Sada Shiv?Mahadev = ShivJi?Sada Shiv = Vahiguru.Sada Shiv = Eternal Shiv?.Shiv = good fortune or fortunate doesn't it?Does the above mean: They call Mahadev the Eternal Shiv. They cannot understand/find the Formless One. Or does it mean: Sada Shiv says to Mahadev; You do not understand the Formless One. Apologies for my own translation I would like to know your views please Narsingha Ji.
  20. Ahem...I didn't actually say there is anything wrong with human love.
  21. Remember Vahiguru in pleasure too, not just pain. When you eat that nice choclate cake, say thanks to Vahiguru for the chocolate cake. When you enjoy anything, say thanks to your Creator for giving you this pleasure. I don't mean to be rude, but if you are married or getting married, remember Vahiguru when you are, you know - doing it, with your marriage partner. You will have good jivatma come to your house then. Vahiguru will send you good jivatma, if you thank Vahiguru for any plaesure. When you are married ofcourse
  22. What about the picture of Satguru Gobind Singh Ji they have at Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib? Can anyone comment on it's authenticity?
