Yes this story comes up in both granths but if you see Bhai Santokh Singh Ji's writings ont he 6th and 10th Guru fromt he gurbilas which were already written. From the contact i have had with all the nirmala sants so far from punjab, hardwar and haryana all deny this story to be true. Again with Taksal witht he exception of baba inderjeet singh ji all again deny this story including sant giani mohan singh ji. I personally have no belief that Guru Ji did aradhna of the devi for her to become pargat prior to the birth of the khalsa or yudh. They are full belief in akaal purkh and state 'Tehee Durga Saaj Kai Danta Da Naas Karaiya'! Why would Guru Ji need to do this when their form was of Akaal purkh what is the need of any being when you are superior int he first place. (Aap narayan Kaladhar Jag Mai Parvariyo) I think this concept is only accepted by the nihang samparda as everyone i have spoken to from the four other sampardas do not accept this notion as all!

Tony it is true there is a harcore group of Taksalis who continue to believe Sant ji are still here in their form and were never Shaheed. That is not my viewpoint but alot of them believe it and due to this will not move on for a long long time. Sad but it is true.

If someone calls the Sri Dasma Granth as Sri Guru Dasam Granth i accept they are say It is Sri Guru Dasam (Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's) Granth. I personally believe it to be the rachna of Sri GUru Gobind Singh Ji but the Guru is Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Kam1825, is the mahalla 10 to be uchaar'ed then? if it is in the granth or the paath being read then you should read it however the modern day printed saroops do not contain the words mahalla 10 so we do not recite it. We cannot recite what is not there however if you are at a akhand paath where it states in the granth mahalla dasva then you are to utter it. I hav only heard it once in my life. All mahapurkh accept that this is the salok of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the taksali mahapursh state it should have remained in the form that Maharaj uttered the bani. I think both Bhai Mani Singh and Baba Deep Singh ji would not put Mahalla 10 into their granths if Guru gobind Singh ji did not do so themselves when at Damdama Sahib
