  1. That doll seems rather jolly. who is it?
  2. Bloody hell! The Nihangs that eat Mahaprashaad and take Sukha do it within the traditions of their Maryada. Yes i agree in war you do Chatka on the battlefield, quick efficient killing. Humans have eaten animals for around 2.5 million years, and have only started cultivating crops etc around 20'000 years ago. Were humans designed to be herivores? No. Were they designed to be cornivores? No. We are omnivores, able to eat both plant and animal matter. Humans would not have evolved if it was not for high consumption of marine life, i.e fish etc providing protein and fats, especially omega 3 and 6 fats. These fats were one of the most important factors in human evolution and the increase of our brain size, our brains are huge in contrast to body size, when compaired with all other forms of life known to man. A large surge in calories was required to maintain survival and was provided by the fats of animals eaten, as fat yields more than double the energy of either protein or carbohydrates. Stop being so damn narrow minded. Speech over.
  3. are you a bit of a doll then? hahaha. (pun intended)
  4. hey hows things going with u and that gori sikh_fauge? give me an update. lol
  5. my way of life is my way of life. who are you to tell me what to do? Halaalo is forbidden.
  6. You want to talk about modern day times? The riots of 1984 in Panjab and Dehli. People in my family have becomes shaheeds and been murdered in Panjab due to the violence. What would you propose these people under oppression do? and all the other people in the world? You see shastar as instruments of death. I see them as Instruments of Truth, Justice, Freedom. These things you can not take away. They are in that sence instruments of beauty. Your doctorine not change my thinking. Its like trying to preach Islam to me. Just is not happening. lol. Have you ever read Chaupai Sahib? Do you know what it means and says? You misunderstand me. Are you from the U.K? We can meet up and have a nice long conversation over some coffee or something, well protein shake in my case. lol
  7. Agree with mugermuch, when other means of resolving the problem have been exhausted.
  8. yeh windchimes can be used as shastar too. lol.
  9. there is a sakhi where a young rich prince who had never worked with his hands or done any sort of seva for anyone brought Guru Ji a glass of water. When Guru Ji took the glass he asked why the princes hands where so soft... he replied that he had many servants to do service for him so hence never had to do anything. Guru Ji refused the water from the prince who had not worked or earnt anything with his own kami-ee. So not everything is acceptable to Guru Ji like we think. Not having a go at anyone just making a point that may be of some relevance.
  10. why is my brain a giant phallus? oh please. i made the above post out of boredom. no i haven't already introduced myself. GanM u chat some serious S H I T. Mr lets love every one and melt our weapons to make windchimes. S A D D O.
  11. ive done other martial arts before shastar vidiya... few years of karate, boxing and muay thai. im trying like everyone else to conquer my mind.
  12. yo ganm u really disappoint me man. Guru Gobind Singh praised shastar and called them His "peer". and you..... want them to disappear. WTF? do u consider ureself a Sikh of the Guru? by the way we who keep shastar, aint stark raving mad, we hope we never have to use them, but are prepared to use them and use them efficiently when needed. any warrior would tell you his greatest wish (other than to merge with Maha Akaal) is to die fighting. ive hard a different upbringing to you and mine hasn't been so rosy, but that doesn't mean ive lost my compassion, far from that.
  13. hey i been at the yard since 3pm and there has been nothing to do... i repeat nothing, even though i could be pondering on the Akaal of course (which i will do tonight as a matter of fact), so im going to intoduce myself. Name:Rakash (Demon/Demi-God) Singh (Tiger/maybe Lion/possibly both) Age: 19 today as a matter of fact. Location: a small shire called Derby down the road from Nottingham. Occupation: Currently doing final year at college and will go on to do pharmacy at the school of pharmacy in London. Hobbies: Weight training/Bodybuilding (yes a bit of both, look strong and be strong) Shastar Vidiya (recent addition), buying my self gifts such as expensive knives, daggers and the sort, the occasional animal tooth, horn etc. I like reading about human evoltion, prehistorical man, and anthropology. Anything to do with mid fight thought processes, battle chronicles and methods to manipulate my functions to be able to perfrom tasks, physical or metal quicker and more efficiently. i.e naturally increasing free body testoterone or keeping hormal levels high. ok im going off on a tangent. hope i usefully filled a few minutes of your spare time. feel free to ask questions of any sort that are in anyway connected with what i have said previously about my self, i.e advice etc.
  14. 3/4 leg trousers aint too bad but sleeveless tops is going a bit far. remember there are people trying to cleanse their minds hearts and souls in the Guru's Darbaar and u may cause an unintentional distraction. yeh i know they shudcnt be looking or they shuld be focusing but no ones perfect.... we all have to keep trying someway dont we. be a bit modest when dressed, this should be the one place we leave our ego at the door.
  15. sorry about opening this up again but what is forbidden? 1) Halaal/Kosher/Kutha meat or 2) Anything non-chatka? as far as im aware its more number 1) than 2). If one attempts chatka with a gun, because he doesnt have a 3foot sword to decapitate a deer/gazelle etc and the animal doesnt die instantly, then does that meat become unfit for consumption...? i dont think that would be very sensible to throw away the carcass and start try again on another animal. do u? more so its halaal that is forbidden. i just had to put my view across.
  16. yes that was a good article and learnt a few things that were not on the website me thinks. Shastar Vidya is very, very, very dangerous. It will be with you at times when ur strength is diminishing and thats when the real warriors are separated from the not so real.
  17. sukhi_v i think along the same lines. some good advice there people, take heed. work hard, play hard, do ur thing, enjoy life, thank the Lord, and He'll sort it out for you, He has for me inumerable times.
  18. to me he is a buffalo... a buffalo i say.
  19. Agreed. He has a true passion for what he does and what he believes in. Before people start jumping up and down about what he says or does, go ask him to explain his thoughts and u will leave enlightened. cant wait for next session. muhahahahaha.
  20. An Akali Nihang of the 1700/1800's with knowledge of the vidiya and power through reciting Gurbani with each breath would be the most powerful warrior in the world. Im not too sure on shaolin monks and their art being battle tested but Shastar Vidiya certainly is...
  21. I have done martial arts for a good fews years of my life, from shotokan karate to bits of aikido and muay thai. ive also been to niddars lessons. heydudewassup ufc fighters train to take blows to face and body and wear protective equipment. shastar vidiya and its deeper jang di vidiya is designed to kill quickly and effieciently. you have to look at the purpose and practicality of each individual art. after takin so many blows to the head ufc fighters will wear out, humans arent desined to take head shots, but a learned shastar vidiya warrior will use his technique to save him when his strength fails (due to fatigue etc) the video clips are of Sava Rakshah or "self defence" so obviously the victim will be unaware and also the clips slow to show viewers what technique is being used etc. ive seen niddar go through 5-6 guys with ease like knife through butter at the akhara, in which he was demonstarting a more advanced vidiya. yes nihangs in india practice something different to niddar singh, thats because they dont know what he knows. what he was taught only very few people knew now because of british influences during the british occupation of the panjaab in 1850's+. they operated a shhot to kill policy with akalis and all the vidiya became almost lost forever. shastar vidiya at the highest level is designed to kill masses of enemys quickly in war, ufc fighting vale tudo or krag mava is not. krag mava is more a self defence art, ukranian if im right. i dont hugely under estimate other arts but shastar vidiya is designed with weapons in mind, i believe niddar would cut up a shaolin monk in a duel any day. and even the unarmed combat niddar teaches is lethal. shastar vidiya is not a competitive art its a killing art, put a shastar vidiya shagird to the death with any other martial arts practioner and they shagrid will come out on top.
