Tahmas Miskin wrote this book about Panjab's history covering the years from around 1748 to 1765.

Does anybody know if there are any copies of this online? Have looked but haven't been able to find anything.

There is one copy in the British Library, may be the original, but otherwise there is no info about it.

Have you checked Grewal and Habib's  Sikh history in Persian sources?

Grewal and Habib just give the Sikh related content. I was thinking of the whole text. Amardeep, the writers name is Tahmas Khan, his takhalas is Miskin.

Grewal/Habibs' book tells us there is a manuscript in Lahore, and a copy in Aligarh Uni library.

This has shed more light on where manuscripts are. There is one in Khalsa College library. I would love to see this library. Going to try next I go Panjab.

Are you going to try and translate the Farsi?

wouldn't know where to start. I can read Urdu/Farsi script in printed form to the standard of a ten year old. But am quite lucky to have an Iranian friend who helps me with harder Persian stuff.

Chatanga, check the British library, they'd probably have a copy.
