Loyalty is a great virtue, if not the greatest of the virtues. One of the many beauties of Dasam Granth Sahib is that it puts the previous avtars and spiritual personalities in right context. They were not immortal or perfect. They made mistakes too. I think hanuman made a mistake in setting the entire country on fire.
