Gurbani and our Gurus

Recommended Posts

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakal!

Dear all!

Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is incorporated with the hymns (Baanee) from many enlightened beings as Kabir Ji, Namdev

Ji, Jaidev Ji, Pipa Ji, Sain Ji, Ravidas Ji, Farid Ji and others.

For Sikhs Baanee is Guru and Guru is Baanee.

Do all God beings, whose Baanee is included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, become automatically our Gurus?

Please express your views.

For Sikhs Baanee is Guru and Guru is Baanee.

isn't this statement you made, one possible answer to your question.

-------------------------

The Guru Granth Sahib is our living Guru, who we approach for spiritual guidance. Although there are many contributors, it is one entity, our Guru. If as an individual you also wish to make a dead saint your Guru than thats fine.

Satsriakal to all and Mekhane'ch Jannat Ji!

You wrote "If as an individual you also wish to make a dead saint your Guru than thats fine."

I do not feel that my Gurus are dead saints.

mloco Ji!

You wrote "there is only one Nirankar. "Bhramgian aapi Nirankar" = all Bhramgiani are one = there is only one Guru."

Do you want to say that all the Godly beings whose Baanee is included in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are together One Guru for Sikhs?

I hope I have understood you correctly.
