  1. A beautiful Tribute to the Almighty Creator... VID-20150619-WA0001.mp4
  2. Simple truths What is fear? Unacceptance of uncertainty. If we accept that uncertainty. It becomes - Adventure What is Envy ? Unacceptance of good in others If we accept that good, It becomes - Inspiration What is Anger? Unacceptance of things which are beyond our control. If we accept It becomes - Tolerance What is Hatred? Unacceptance of a person as he is. If we accept that person unconditionally, it becomes - Love
  3. How God Answers our Prayers? (An Amazing Story) Dr.Stephen, a well-known doctor, was once on his way to an important medical conference in another city where-in he was going to be granted an award for medical research he had recently done. He was very excited to attend the conference and was desperate to reach as soon as possible. He had worked long and hard on his research and felt his efforts deserved the award he was about to obtain. However, two hours after the plane took off, the pilot announced that there was a problem with the plane and that they were going to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport. Afraid that he wouldn't make it in time for the conference, Dr. Stephen immediately went to the help desk as soon as the plane landed and explained to the woman at the desk that he was expected to be at a very important conference and that he needed to know the immediate next flight to his destination. She told him that there was nothing she could do to help him as there wouldn't be another flight to his destination for another ten hours; but suggested he rent a car and drive down to the city as it was only four hours away. Having no other choice, he agreed to the idea despite his hatred for driving long distances. Dr. Stephen rented a car and started his journey. However, soon after he left, the weather suddenly changed and a heavy storm began. The pouring rain made it very difficult for him to see and he missed a turn he was supposed to take. After two hours of driving, he was convinced he was lost. Driving in the heavy rain on a deserted road, feeling hungry and tired, he frantically began to look for any sign of civilization. After some time, he finally came across a small tattered house. Desperate, he got out of the car and knocked on the door. An old woman opened the door for him. He explained his situation and asked if he could use her telephone. She told him that she didn't have a phone or electricity but that he was welcome to come in for some food and something warm to drink as he had completely lost his way and that it would take him some time to get back on the right road. Hungry, wet and exhausted, the doctor accepted her kind offer and walked in. The woman told him to help himself to some food and hot tea on the table and then excused herself to finish her prayers. Sitting on the table sipping his tea, the doctor watched the woman in the dim light of candles as she prayed next to what appeared to be a small baby crib. Every time she finished a prayer, she would start another one. Feeling that the woman might be in need of help, the doctor seized the opportunity to speak as soon as she finished her prayers and told her that he hoped god would answer her prayers. He then said that he noticed that she had been making a lot of prayers and asked if there was something she needed that he could get for her or help her with. The woman smiled and said that god had answered all her prayers except one. She said she didn't know why god hadn't answered this specific prayer yet but perhaps it was because of her weak faith. The doctor asked if she didn't mind telling him what she needed. Nodding her head in approval, she said that the child in the crib was her grandson. She said that the child had a very rare type of cancer and that all the doctors she had seen were unable to treat him. She also said that she had been told that there was a doctor who specialized in the type of cancer her grandson had, but there was no way for her to get to this doctor as he lived very far from her; so she has been spending her days and nights praying to god to help her find a way to get to Dr. Stephen - the doctor who could treat her grandson. Upon hearing her words, tears began to flow down the doctor's cheeks and He said: god is great, there was malfunction in the plane, a thunderstorm hit, and I lost my way; and all of this happened because God did not just answer your prayer by helping you find a way to get to Dr. Stephen, but He brought Dr. Stephen to your house. I am Dr. Stephen. Tears streaming down her cheeks, Three important steps: 1)Ask 2)Believe 3)Receive Thanks to whoever is the author of this story.
  4. Part 2: Let us imagine the following scene, when Tenth Patshahee asked for the heads, there maybe let us say around 100.000 people, and let us imagine, all of them were ready to really give their heads .... but frankly speaking, if that was that easy to give one´s head, and aquire the right to enter Sach Khand, even then it would be a cheap bargain for all of us. But the thing is, the laws made by Akal Purukh at the time of creation, can not be altered even by Him, not that He can´t, but He wouldn´t do so. He is not like our corrupted politicians or managers, who manipulate the laws and orders according to their own benefits. What example would He be giving, by going against His own Hukum? He is merciful, He is Graceful, He is Dayal Purukh, He is an infinite Ocean of virtues, but definetely not a cheater... Moreover according to Gurmat, our Guru Sahibans have to come to redeem our souls. When they themselves had to leave their physical bodies here, what for, would they want our physical heads ... you see these mahapurukhs, whenever they do or say something, there is always a deeper meaning in it, which we moorakhs usually never catch ... It is by our association with them, that we come to comprehend their real status. The Bani says many things, like we are here due to our karmas, and we are trapped by Maya, mind and Kal. And on the other side, even if we maybe in the physical nearness to any Bhagat or Guru Sahiban, but this our nearness does not change our reality mentioned above, and there is a natural way to overcome all this .... Or better said, a process of going through, before we achieve any purity. It is an act of Grace, from Wahiguru, if we ever come in the company of any such True Gurmukh, but the fact remains, that to cut all our worldly attachments, karmas, etc, we have to drink the medicine of Amrit within us, there is no other way. And to have and drink this Amrit, there is no such magic stick to be waved. Rather we need a lot of Grace first from Wahiguru, and then we have to do a lot of devotion as per means of Naam Simran. And Wahiguru is so Graceful, that, He has blessed us with the understanding, that physical nearness with a Gurmukh is very good, but not essential. Because that what is going to bring the changes for good in us, is by working on their teachings of True devotion, which will make us have their darshan within us, and this darshan of a Gurmukh within, is what counts, as we have spiritually become near to them. it is this darshan which will wash our sins, it is this darshan which will make us pure, it is this darshan which will lead us to Him, because no Gurmukh, Brahamgyani or Guru sahiban is the physical body, rather as first Patshahee has said, they are the manifestations of the Nirankar Shabad Dhun, from there they emerge, and in it, they merge along with whosoever catches hold of their "pallav". That is why, Guru Jee said: Shabd Guru, surat dhun chela. This is their real swaroop, and it is to this swaroop which even the full Brahmand of souls attach themselves with it, that swarop of Guru Jee can ferry across the bhavsagar, any number of souls. So sangat jee, if ever any Guru Sahiban asks us for our heads, we should be ready for it willingly, as all our life is an offering to them; but I doubt, any Guru Sahiban will ask us to do so, because as said in the post above, they are more interested in us offering our minds at His Lotus Feet, so that we can easily merge in them, and then altogether in Him, and become His one more pyare, nay not only that, but one with Him, what else can we want sangat jee? So much daya meher, so much bakshish, on us sinners.... Sat Sree Akal.
  5. Nijh Ghar, literally means: our own True home. And as we all know, Khands, Brahmands, heavens, swargs or baikunths should not be our aim... But our aim or goal should be only our True Father's home, which is none other than Sach Khand, there where Wahiguru Akal Purukh Nirankar, has His permanent residence. Sat Sree Akal.
  6. As seen in the above posts, it is true there maybe many types of bairag. Bairag basically means dettachment from something. It also means awareness awakened. But the thing is we sholud not get confused with the different types of bairags. Our main concern is, to realize we are away/separated from Wahiguru, and trapped in this mayavee creation. And then the next step is to take the benefit of that state as soon as possible, we do not know how long that state may remain in us, so while in that state, we must start doing something which can fill that void of being away from Him, and as said before, doing something which may take us to the other side of the shore, means attachinh ourselves with His Nam. No attachment can create any dettachment, it is only by dettachment that we can attach ourselves to something far better and eternal, like Wahiguru, and that is is His Naam alone. As some beloved one of Wahiguru has said: attachments gradually slacken, as one begins to enjoy mediation of His Naam. With the inner bliss that one experiences, all worldly pleasures and atachments begin to appear less attractive and important. Sat Sree Akal.
  7. In my humble opinion, giving one´s head, is quite difficult for anybody. There may be a purpose, why Guru Jee told of giving their heads. Bu I also believe, as a general rule, it is asking us to not lean on our minds, but, to trust Him, to give Him our haume, our ego, which is in our minds. Because only by giving our haume, our manmat, and vacating our mind from it, can we follow Gurmat implicitly, and totally drench ourselves with His Naam. Guru Jee does not need our physical heads, He is Sachay Patshah, He can make even the stones carry out His orders. But as a spiritual redeemer, He tells us to leave our haume aside and dedicate ourselves in full faith and devotion, to His Naam, by His Simran, in which lies our spiritual growth and welfare. Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Paa Jee, the first thing is to be consciouss that one is being attacked by this demon as well as the remaining four. All of them are quite deadly and powerful enough to keep the soul in this mayavee creation, the creation goes on with their efficient work, as ordered by their master Kal Purukh. You see, Kal Purukh can not create or destroy souls, in order to keep his desertic creation populated, so he got an alloted amount of souls from Wahiguru, according to his deep penance...well this matter thing is quite profound to talk about in this thread briefly, but suffice for us to understand that we are all trapped here .... So the thing about trying to overcome all these demons, is to first realize of our very limited and poor capacity, we use to think we are brave and intelligent, and the fact is, we are moorakhs. You see, lust made even mighty Ravan to fall down, inspite of having done so much jap, tap, austerities, poojas.... In comparison to him, let us ask ourselves who are we? What will power do we have? We are the most weak creatures. If possible, take any telescope, look as far as much possible in the Brahmand, if there is any such weapon to fight and conquer these vices. One may take even years to find such weapon, but there is none as such. Why? Because up to the skirts of Brahmand(Physical, Astral and Causal planes), everything is made of the 5 perishable elements, and that is Maya, including our mind. And so are these vices. So you see, to conquer these thieves, we have to take support of a power higher and beyond the reach of these theives , and their creator, which is Dharam Rai or Kal Purukh. And that power, that weapon as our Guru Sahibans have said, it is the power of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, which is His Naam. This Naam, is beyond all gods, goddesses, angels and other celestial beings. You see, mind is fond of pleasures. It is constantly running outwards in the creation after them, and making our souls incurr in heavy karmas. And when we commit karmas, we are bound to come back. This is how the creation goes on, We create karmas, we have to come back to pay them and at the same time we create new karma, so you see we are perpetuated in the creation. Kal Purukh, does not want that even by chance that we come to know about the Truth of the Bani. So what does he do then? He creates religions, rituals and dogmas to keep our souls entangled here with fights, wars and confussion, so that we waste away our lives, without even paying attention to the Truth of the Bani, and by applying it in our lives to secure salvation, in this priceless human life. Guru Sahibans have shouted and repeated through out the whole Bani, Wahiguru and His Nam is the only eternal Truth, everything else is fanaah, is koor... They, Guru Sahibans say, if you do any devotion apart from Nam Simran, it is like decorating a dead corpse, it is like a dog putting his mouth in the waste searching for food. And so, if anybody tells us or reminds us, that hey gur sikho: do not waste time after other things than His Simran, he gets kicked by the people, because they think, he is going against Sikhee, as he stresses not on what people do normally as devotion, but on what our Guru Sahibans, have stressed upon, and that is His Nam. I have repeated many a times of the essence of Sikhee,as the main line from the Mool Mantar, which is : Ik Oankar, Satgur Parsad Jap. There is only one Supreme power and that is Wahiguru, who is realized by the Jap of His Gur parsad, His Name, Wahiguru .... Waheeeeeguruuuuuu. So going back to conquer the mind and all these vices, the Bani says: Nam Japat, trishna sabh boojhee hae. This means, by His sacred Simran, all the desires of the mind to experiment these bhogs of kam, krodh, lobh, moh and ahankar, are all quenched and dissolved. Having tasted the Amrit of Nam, the mind and all the vices are pacified and defeated, in a simple and natural way, without us being any champions in martial arts. So the secret, is to give ourselves totally to this Conscious, Eternal and Supreme Power of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, through His Naam or Shabad. Nobody in the whole creation is as wise as our Guru Sahibans or the Gurmukhs. They know we are weak and powerless by ourselves, the pity on us for remaining in the chaurasee ka chakar, so they throw the rope of Naam for us, they say, hold on tightly to it(means by His Simran), and we shall pull you out. Wahiguru speaks and does everything through them. As seen above, ultimately it is by His Grace that we overcome everything and merge in Him also. Sat Sree Akal .
  9. 'Sat Sree Akal Ibrute jee, just one thing to be kept in mind: The efforts are in one's hand to an extent, but the clicking you mention above, is in His hands. Our duty is just to lay at His door as kookars...it is His "mauj" as per how or when to open. So my advise is never ever leave His door, even if one's life goes away in doing His bhakti. Our concern in this spiritual matter, is only to stay at all times in His "bhaana" Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Sat Sree Akal ibrute Jee, while concentrating at the eye center, middle of the eyebrows as you say, it is correct. And while being there in the darkness, without any strain, hold your attention in that darkness, and to facilitate your being there, you may repeat Wahiguru as a mantra, and as adised by some advanced practitioners here, when doing the simran, the jap of Wahiguru, listen to it carefully each time you repeat it, it means, being absorbed in the repetition. You see all the Akhand Jot and Anhad Shabad are already within us, it is by our concentration on this jugtee, with love and faith, that our filth wil start being erased ..... and with His Apaar Kirpa, we shall merge in Him one day. As the Bani says: Anter Jot, Niranter Bani, Sachay Sahib siun liv laae. This means, within us there is constant Jot of Wahiguru, and His divine melody in the form of Shabad, and we, by attching ourselves to this " consciouss energy" within us, we shall have unwavering firm love, in the Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Then no matter what may come or happen, even if the whole world stays against us, we shall not doubt even for a second, on Him. This is how Gurmukhs are, and in the same way as they did by following Gurmat, we can become one of the beloved Gurmukhs of Wahiguru. To become one with Him, we have to become a Gurmukh, with all that implies...there is no other way, try how much hard one may. Because if Wahiguru is one, the path leading to Him, has to be one. It can never be different for the people of different times, communities, faiths, dharmas, castes, colors or nationalities. Outside there may be a thousand paths, but they all lead to "nowhere, there where He is in reality". On the contrary, as the Bani says in a simple and beautifull way, for all beings, be them may from any corner of the creation, without any restrictions: Nanak, Naam Jahaz hae, jin chareeya, se utareeya paar. This is universal path for all times and places, be it Satyuga, Tretapur Yuga, Dwapur Yuga or even now the present Kal Yuga... That is why the Bani says: Jug chaare, Naam outam, shabad beechar. Throughout all the eras, the path of Naam is the highest, just think about it and keep it in your mind. Guru Sahibans, have give us the daan of their wisdom in the form of their teachings, in order to put them into practice into our lives for our spirutual upliftment, but alas, we have put them into the boundaries of our manmukhta, thus we can never follow them fully, neither can we do them any justice.... Not that we have no love for Wahiguru or Guru Sahibans, there is no doubt in it...but the thing is, we have manipulated their teachings, and neither are we bothered to put them into a practical way in our lives as they wanted us to do,rather a lot of maanmat has been added to their Truth, and thus dilluted it. Their main message in simple words is: Ik Oankar, Satgur Parsad, Jap. That´s it, as simple as that, and as complete as that also. Guru Sahibans have clearly chalked out the path for us in the line above, to walk and reach Him. Now the choice is ours, to be a stupid manmukh, or be a wise Gurmukh.... Sat Sree Akal.
  11. Time given into devotion While engaging in devotion to Wahiguru, one should sit with an attitude of gratitude, not just as a ritual, or halfheartedly. Because within due time and patience, even the grass turns into milk. So what to say about us, who being a dirty tiny minuscule partcle, which wants to merge in the unfathomable and limitless Ocean, known as Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Dear Manmohan Jee, feel free to express yourself about your queries or doubts, we are all seekers(of ruhaniyat) here. Whatever I have understood from Gurbani or Gurmat, you need to focus more on your Simran. There should be no confusions at all, as the Simran is the the eye opener, in the sense, that, from good Simran, one gets real gyan, tat and budh. You see, Simran is like rubbing the layers of filth on our mind against a sandstone. The Jot is alraedy in us, but, the more we rub it against the sandstone of Simran, the more the rust is removed, and the more purer we become, and so gradually by working more on it, a day will come when we are totally spotless. All the spiritual treasures, Akhand Jot, Shabad, Naam.... to the extent, that even Wahiguru the Supreme Being .... all this magnificence is within us already, it is only that we have to work on our spiritual cleaniness, which is possible only by His Simran alone. One has to be absorbed /drenched totally in Simran. Hold on to it, as a baby holds on the milk feed, means as our nourisher, and as our spiritual food for spiritual growth and maturity. And when once within, humbly pray Wahiguru, do Him an Ardaas right there, to guide you with His wisdom and bhaana for further enlightment. This is the most, what we people can do, the rest is His hukum only. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. A mother-in-law explaining work to her newly wed Daughter-in-law. "I am Home Minister as well as Finance Minister of this house, your Father-in-law is the Foriegn Minister, my Son, I mean your husband runs the Ministry of Demand and Supply, and, my daughter runs Planning Developement Ministry. Now you tell me which Ministry would you like to run?" Daughter-in-law instantly replied with a smile, : "Dear mother-in-law, I'll be the leader of OPPOSITION..."
Rāj na cẖāha▫o mukaṯ na cẖāha▫o man parīṯ cẖaran kamlāre. A Beautiful quote Paa Jee,just as any one from the pure paviter Bani. Here Guru Jee is telling us, do not waste away your life after status, possesions or power... because all these things will one day fade away, cause all these things are nothing, but mere shadows in reality. Rather, attach yourself lovingly with His Lotus Feet. Now the thing is, we may come to the conclusion, that if Wahiguru has no form, how can we love and get attached with His Lotus Feet? What do Guru Sahibans refer to, when they mention His Charan Kamal in their Bani or teachings?Usually we have the beleiving and understanding, that when we do doe doe charan kamal, after that we drink it away, as charna amrit. No true Satguru, or Gurmukh will ever tell us to do so, about allowing us to do so, they are humility personified. Then, how to ever accomplish this higher devotion? To this, the only perefctly and reasonable answer I got, was that, doing His Naam Simran, was like washing His Lotus Feet, and driking that Amrit, was, when due to our perfection in Simran, we are able to listen the Shabad Dhun within us, which washes away all our karmic filth and sanskaras, of all our past lives for once and ever. This is when First Patshahee says in Jap Ji Sahib: suniye(listen to that Shabad with your soul within yourself), paap, dukh sabh naas(all your sins, pains shall be erased totally). To explain us and bless us with this simple Truth, is the purpose of coming of our beloved Guru Sahbans, Gurmukhs or Bhagat Janas. After that, accordingly to the Bani, we board on the vessel of Naam(Nanak Naam jahaaz hae), and reach Home safely, without any restrictions of any kind, or from anyone, neither Maya or Kal can do anything, such is the mahima of Wahiguru and His Naam. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. Brother, dhand in simple words,is being away from Wahiguru. Cause being away from Him, means being in the Chaurasee Ka Chakar, being in any joonee. Be it tree, insect, reptile, fish, mamaals, man, or even in any celestial paradises. You see, to be away from one´s True House(Sach Khand), True Father(Wahiguru Akal Purukh), is a punishment by itself. And He is not to be blamed, it is all our fault. He tells us only one thing throughout the whole Bani, to free ourselves from the creation where Maya and Kal have spread their tentacles, in which all of us are imprisoned mercilessly, and that one thing is: Ik Oankar, Satgur Parsad, Jap. Saas Saas simroh Gobind. Prabh ka Simran, sabh tay oochaa. So let us sincerely ask ourselves, do we really do what our Guru Sahibans tell us in the sacred, pure and paviter Bani? Or do we do many other things according to our beliefs, and mental state .... Then dear sangat jee, how can we ever blame our beloved Wahiguru? It is we who are mugadhs, moorakhs, for not following Gurmat. You see, the Bani is so perfect, that even if we follow it without understanding it properly, but faithfully, it will do us the same good effect within us, because, the Bani is not man made, but are direct instructions from Wahiguru Akal Purukh, for our true benefit, of cutting our heavy chains from this world and its objects, and at the same time, tying ourselves with Him, through His Naam. Sikhee is the most simple and direct path to Wahiguru, but alas we ignorants have politizied it, and added ritulas and dogmas, and a big list of additives just as in the other religions, thus we have thrown away the essence, the primal Truth of Sikhee away from our sight, and if by chance anyone dares to talk about it as it is, in simple words, that person becomes suspicious in our eyes as an antisikh, and thus we make mockery of that person, or ridculize him. But nevertheless, it is by His Grace, His Hukum, that Gurmukhs keep coming and dwell among us, to just remind us of our true spiritual nature, and the simple way to apply it in this very human life and fulfill the objective of human birth, and that is to merge, our tiny jot of our souls, in the Aad Jot of Akal Purukh, through the support of His Naam alone, and not by any other method. Sat Sree Akal.
  16. Continuing a bit forward with the topic of this thread, I would like to share a couple of lines from the Bani of Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj in Raag Maaroo, where Guru Jee clearly points us, the supreme importance of Sant Jan in spiritual affairs: Sant binaa mai thaa-o na ko-ee avar na soojhai jaavnaa. Without the Saint, I have no place of rest at all; I cannot think of any other place to go. Why does He tells us so? *Because any other place, is like remaining in darkness... Sant Jan are the embodiment of Akal Purukh, and with them we go back Home. mohi nirgun ka-o ko-ay na raakhai Santaa sang samaavanaa. I am unworthy, no one gives me sanctuary. But in the Society of the Saints, I merge in God. Here He confirms that what is stated above, people all around look at my colour, race, dharam, age, gender, etc; but it is only in their company of Sant Jan, that they look at my soul alone as a spark particle of Wahiguru, thus they accept us, and bless us their grace and mercy as per Hukum of Wahiguru, and naturally then we reach Sach Khand and merge in Wahiguru. *The Bani has all answers for all our doubts or shortcomings, but mostly we hardly pay any attention to the Gems contained in It, and rather we just keep looking from a distance to the Jewel Box, when Wahiguru has kept the unlimited spiritual wealth of the Bani for us to take it and use it for ourselves and become Gurmukhs .... But what do we manmukhs rather do? We say, no no, my people are collecting big, big stones, so let me do the same... who has seen the precious Gems and Rubies, we have no time for it... Such a pity.... Hey Waheguru Daya ke Saagar, ik Ardas hae Aap ke aageh, kuch Meher karoh jee apne is bandoh peh, kee Aap kee sachee bhakti kareh ..... Sat Sree Akal.
  17. As far as I understand, if he is a True Saint, He will just tell you to find Wahiguru within you, as per Bani. He will never tell you do this or that, or go here or there ..... But then, having said all this, who can know about such a Saint? Who will believe in Him? Many may say he is a pakhandee... or a fraud, or he is the leader of a sect ? Why do I say all this? Because the Bani clearly says: Brahamgyani ka "daras"(darshan), wadbhagee paae. The bani mentions the word wadbhagee, means, to those whom the Lord Wahiguru wants get His darshan, only they shall get automatically attracted to that Saint. This is not a matter of discussion or deep reasoning, or convince to someone ... It is a matter of Grace, of Daya Meher But anyhow, even if one does not believe in what that Saint says, nobody goes empty handed from thier Sangat. The seed of Grace goes deep within us by being in their company, and within due time, whenever our karmas are lightened enough, this strong Sanskar, will unfold itself and definetely we shall come nearer to Wahiguru, this is Wahiguru´s word. We are all blind, we have no eyes to recognize such a True saint. Have we not heard, when the chela(disciple) is ready, the Guru appears. So it is the Saint who finds and attracts us, not that by our efforts or reasoning, can we ever come near them. You see, a True saint may be our Father or brother, we may live under the same roof with Him, but if it is not written on our forehead, from Dur Dargah, we shall never accept Him, and like most we shall abuse him, either verbally or by actions. And some near examples we have them in our own sikhee. Like Prithi Chand with Dhan Dhan Guru Ram Das and with Sree Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj; or the sons of First Patshahee. There are many many more examples.... I know all this may create confussion to some, though I have only stated, what we have seen being done through the history ....and as donkeys we keep repeating these mistakes. But then, who can be blamed for all this abnormal situation? Does not the Bani say: to some I make them near me, to others I make them keep wandering. You see, if this was so easy, the creation would come to an end as everbody would be attracted to a True Saint and would practice real sikhee... so if He wants the creation to go on, the creation has to be imperfect .... There should be no reason to dismay for all this, rather we should with more zeal do His Simran, that we may be blessed with His unbound Grace, in order to merge in Him. Sat Sree Akal.
  18. Devotion Each one of us tries to worship Him. And those who really want to worship Him, by meditating upon Him, usually get the dissapointment, by being helpless to knockout our opponent: the mind, who troubles us time after time, with a never ending list of excuses, some of them which we never even imagined. Whenever one sits to do His bandagee, the mind with its waves, the thoughts, assaults us, they drag us back into the outside creation. That is because His Name is pure, and we are full of faults and dirt. But Wahiguru, knowing about our weak and poor condition, gives us a helping hand through the Bani. And the Bani says to the respect: Har rus chaakhaa, man(mind) nirmal huaa. This is the only remedy to defeat the mind. Here, Guru Jee is giving us a weapon to fight and defeat the mind. And what is that weapon, though it is quite clear in the line above? Well, it is He Himself, offering us to catch hold of His hand. Har rus, is His active form, His Shabad swaroop. You see, the Name, or Naam which the Bani so often mentions, is not only which can be read or written. It is something much much more, it can be seen and heard within us, that too, without having ears or eyes.... Just as Second Patshahee says: akhaa bajoh vekhna, bin kanna sun/naa ... It is the Anhad Shabad reverbating within us at all times, nonstop. So, to listen this nameless(Dhunatmak) Naam within us, we have to first take the help of the the (Varnatak) Naam, which can be written and read out through its Simran. We have to purify ourselves to an extent with this jugtee of Simran, so that we reach a stage where we have made it strong base within us. Then only, as Third Patshahee says in Anand Sahib: Nam jinke man vaseeya, vaajeh Shabad ganere. This means, when we have made this Varnatmak Naam firm within our being/mind, through its Simran as said above, then comes a second stage in our spiritual maturity, that, we start listening to that Sat Shabad or Anhad Shabad within us. And it is this listening to the Shabad Dhun, which our Guru Sahibans and Bhagats or Gurmukhs, have called it also as having Amrit. That is when in Jap Ji Sahib, First Patshahee Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj says: Sooniye, paap dukh sabh naas. Means, listen to this Divine Melody within yourself, and all your sins/karmas shall be erased. So you see, it is not by any rituals, jap, tap, poojas, paaths, pilgrimages, fastings, bathing in so called spiritual waters, etc etc.... that our subtle filth of karmas, vikaars, punj doots, maya, etc, can ever be washed away. No matter whatsoever anyone may say, nobody is upper than the Bani. And our Guru Sahibans, Bhagats, all of them, have tirelssly tried to make us mugadhs, moorakh manmukhs make us understand, that He is the only everlasting Truth, and that through His Naam alone, is our true freedom secured, not otherwise. So why waste away our precious lives after futile practices/activities? Nanak, Naam jahaaz hae. Does not the Bani say: Prabh ka Simran sabh tay oochaa. So then, forget wisdom alone, but where is our basic common sense, for not following the Bani? Sat Sree Akal.
  19. Paa Jee, Brahamgyani, is synonymous with Gurmukh, Sant, Bhagat(of highest order). Brahamgyani is the knower of Wahiguru...nay, He is one with Wahiguru. Of this higher being, the Bani says: Brahmgyani ka "daras" wadbhagee paaye. Means, even to have the darshan of a Brahmgyani, it is not even in our hands at all, or even being in the presence/company of such a being, is possible not per our wishes or efforts, but by only by His kirpaa. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Dear Neo Jee, agreeable with what you say, but we must bear in mind that, all the three of them work under Akal Purukh´s Hukum. By His will. It is He who chooses, what to make out of anyone. Once one merges one´s consciousness in Him, then only His bhaana exists. Otherwise what would be left to differentiate between them and we the manmukhs? Sat Sree Akal.
  21. True Guru, true disciple/sikh ... To know who is a genuine Guru, a Gurmukh, a Brahmgyani, and who is a true sikh or disciple, for that purpose, let us see what Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj is telling us about it, in His pure paviter Bani of Raag Sorath: ਸੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਸੋ ਸਿਖੁ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਜਿਸੁ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ So Guroo So Sikh Hai Bhaaee Jis Jothee Joth Milaae सो गुरू सो सिखु है भाई जिसु जोती जोति मिलाइ He alone is the Guru, and he alone is a Sikh, O Siblings of Destiny, whose light merges in the Light. Now some may wonder, how does light merge with Light ... Pure light is not something material, it is our essence, it is our soul, it is our consciousness, which emerged from Wahiguru. And true devotion is the act or jugtee of trying to merge in that Param Jot of Wahiguru, through His simran alone. There is no other way, anything apart from this, is nothing but inflating our ego, and being under the bharam of coming near to Him, which is far from reality. There is only one Truth, Satnam, Wahiguru, and He can only be realized, by His Grace with His Simran. This is the summary of Sikhee, or any true religion. Ik Oankar, Satgur Parsad, jap. Sat Sree Akal.
  22. The Aad Sach,Jugaad Sach, is achievable and realized by anyone who practices the jugtee of Nam Simran and goes within, irrespective of caste, creed, or class. Saints say, this Sach, this Shabad is always reverbating within us at all times. A sufi mystic, named Maulana Rum says to the respect: You do not hear the melodies with your ears. The sensivity of your ears has been defiled by the sins. Sat Sree Akal.
  23. Sat Sangat or Sadh Sangat, as far as I understand, it is, (we all) the sangat, the congregation; in the company of the Sadh, the Gurmukh, the Brahmagyani, in whom, the Primal Truth is present or manifested. You see, the sangat by itself is in darkness, and even if more and more darkness gets together, this will not produce even a tiny spark so to say. It is by being near, the Torch, the Fountain of Light(Gurmukh), where we get the benefit of coming out from darkness, to the realm of Light(Sach Khand). Not physical Light, but spiritual Light(Jot), which dispels, the braham, the maya, over our heads, and at the same time, brightens our way, our horizons, in order to reach and merge in Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sat Sangat, othey jaaniye, jithe iko Naam vakhaniye. Sat Sree Akal.
  24. Some inspiring words of wisdom of Bhai Gurdas. Ik Oankar Satgur prasadi. Pauree 1(Gur - Chela) Pir muridi gakhari ko virla janai Pira piru vakhaiai guru guran vakhanai Gur chela chela guru choj vidanai So Guru soi sikhu hai joti joti samanai Ik Guru ik sikhu hai Guru sabadi sinanai Mihar muhabati melu kari bhau bhau su bhanai Meaning: One Oankar, the primal energy realized through the grace of divine preceptor. Pauri 1 ( Guru - disciple) Discipleship of the Guru, is such a difficult task, that a rare one can understand it. He who knows it, becomes guide of the spiritual guides and chief Guru of gurus. In this stage, the wonderful feat of becoming Guru by the discple and vice - versa, is enacted. Externally the sikh and the Guru remain as they were, but internally, the light of one permeates the other. Becoming the sikh of the One Guru, the disciple understands the word of the Guru(Naam/Shabad). Grace(of the Guru), and love(of the disciple) meeting in the divine order, join each other, in form of Love of the Guru, and fear in the mind of the disciple(to create a balanced and handsome personality). *Personal note: in my trip to India about six years back, I visted the Golden Temple in Amritsar, and in one of the libraries around, I bought some books on Sikhism which I found very important at least for my personal and spiritual maturity. One of them was, Varan Bhai Gurdas, by Dr Jodh Singh, from which I will be sharing from time to time, some of the best selections with the sangat on this Sikhawareness website. Hope you too benefit from the priceless spiritual pearls of bhagat Bhai Gurdas. Sat Sree Akal.
  25. Pen jee, the mind is just fulfiing its duty of its master Kal purukh by creating doubts in us, in order to desviate us from our goal, namely Wahiguru. We too have to be faithfull sikhs of Guru jee / Wahiguru by holding on to His pallau strongly, which is none other than His simran, come whatever it may. Sat Sree Akal
