  1. The massive Kashmir voter turnout is proof of people wanting to stay in India. It's a win win for the BJP they forced mullahs to vote creating a great talking point. " what separatist movement look at the voter turnout!" And a brand new force in Kashmir
  2. A mullah talking about the dangers of fundamentalism? Insecurity? The whole basis of pukistan and Khalistan is an insecurity complex. Can't compete hence we need our own country.
  3. And amar sahib won't put up a link. It's probably commie or Islamist in nature. Never heard of it before. But all resistance is good.
  4. Preventing anybody from worshipping their chosen deity is probably the worst offence in Hinduism. And it's not the 18th or 19th century. I like the Khalsa raaj lots of important Hindus in that raaj. Top soldiers, generals and administrators. They were more important than ranjit himself.
  5. That picture in your first post is fake. Those are green cats dressed as Hindus. Agencia! I still have not seen the source of your article.
  6. So much for Ranjit Singh's raj being the epitome of Hindu, Muslim, Sikhs unity and brotherhood like claimed by some..
  7. I have another problem. The daily namaz that I hear from microphones early in the morning is hateful. Calls for killing kaffirs etc..we should ban Vaande Mataram and the Namaz.
  8. Care to put up the source of your article? But thanks for the information I like it.
  9. It's ironic that I see pictures of Bhindranwale with a silver arrow in his hand. Do you know where that comes from? Its history, significance and meaning in Hinduism? It is absolutely aping of another avatar in the Sat Yuga. Should I be offended? Since you are Rajput, you probably know the story of Mt. Abu in Rajasthan when the Rajputs were given Kysteria status along with the Khanda, Kesri Bana, singh surname and told to defend dharm.
  10. That is fine. But we are not talking about Rajputs here. They are Hindus, therefore, they can represent Chandi in whatever manner they choose. That is not my concern. I'm talking about the new niara panth. Who gave them permission?
  11. http://blogs.wsj.com/indiarealtime/2014/11/21/accused-murderer-rampal-not-qualified-to-be-a-guru-says-hindu-leader/ The first Hindu World Congress is taking place in Delhi. The three-day conference, attended by delegates from 50 countries, opened Friday with a speech from the Dalai Lama. Organizers say the gathering marks a resurgence of Hinduism in politics, the economy, education and among young people and women. Swami Vigyananand, general secretary of the Hindu group Vishva Hindu Parishad, devised the conference and spoke to India Real Time on the sidelines of the meeting about Hindu resurgence, the challenges facing Hindus around the world and why self-styled godmen are so popular in India. The Wall Street Journal: Why do you think Indians are so drawn to gurus such as the self-styled godman Sant Rampal who has just been arrested from his ashramafter thousands of his followers tried to prevent his arrest? (Mr. Rampal was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday. He denies wrongdoing.) Swami Vigyananand: Sant Rampal is not qualified to be a guru. Such people denigrate the name of Hindu society, which was never sadhu or celibate-centric. Unfortunately, through the media projection–like television evangelists in the United States–they are becoming popular. I request all the Hindu population not to go behind these people. The core of the Hindu society is married people and they have to take the lead. I am a sanyasi [Hindu monk] and our role is as a catalyst only. There are qualified and educated people who run after people like Sant Rampal. They don’t lack education, but they are ignorant about the philosophy and scripture and truth. In the modern democratic system, we don’t have a system where we can scrutinize wrong people. If they aren’t qualified, they shouldn’t be allowed to teach. We used to have an Assembly of Scholars to scrutinize these people, but that has been lost. WSJ: Why is now the right time for the first World Hindu Congress? Swami Vigyananand: Hindus are facing a number of challenges and this congress is designed to be a forum to discuss how to address them. WSJ: What are the specific challenges faced by Hindus right now? Swami Vigyananand: Economically, many Hindus are very poor. Educationally, we are spending billions to educate people abroad rather than in Bharat (India). We also have a large illiterate population. Thirdly, our women are very qualified and capable but they have not been given a platform in leadership. Then, politically, many of our leaders shy away from saying that they are Hindu. We want respect for our identity. And finally, Hindus are facing violations of their human rights in countries such as Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, the Middle East and Sri Lanka. The World Hindu Congress aims to tackle all these issues by giving a platform to address them. WSJ: What specifically needs to be done to tackle the economic challenges? Swami Vigyananand: Between the first and 15th century, Hindus contributed 30% to 40% of global gross national product. But with the Muslim invasion we became poor. We have a great tradition of entrepreneurship and we need to encourage that among our young people. We also need to connect Hindu businessmen and people who have money with people who have ideas. Then we can create surplus wealth that will help the whole world, not just Bharat. WSJ: What would you say to people who might see Hindu resurgence as nationalistic? Swami Vigyananand: Hinduism is a transnational identity, it is not nationalistic. Wherever Hindus are the majority, they support democracy. In Pakistan and Bangladesh where Hindus are in a minority, democracy has suffered. Hindu resurgence will help all over the world—not only the Hindu community, but all civilized peoples. But we will have a conflict with uncivilized people for sure, as all civilized people do. For breaking news, features and analysis from India, click here and follow WSJ India on Facebook.
  12. Kishan Bishan, I'm the idol destroyer are some other examples. Should I be offended? Chandi, Durga, Kali whatever you want to call her is considered a flesh and bone goddess in Hinduism. Who gave the authorization to downgrade her and compare her to a mere sword?
  13. As a Hindu how do you think I feel when another certain religion takes certain ideas, rituals, concepts and changes them around a little bit. Should I be offended that guru gobind Singh ji says he is directly related to Lord Ram, as a Hindu for those that believe in the dasam Granth. I can cite numerous other examples.
  14. That's fine I understand your point of view. Going after him illegal activities is perfectly legit should be pursued more vigouresly by those concerned. This is where the GOI needs to step up perhaps the feAr is that arresting him would turn into a 84 like situation or the Rampal situation. However, if you are going after him for copying certain practices from other religions well that is impractible to enforce. No government has the power and mandate to enforce belief or lack thereof. The fastest, easiest way is to chase him for illegal activities. Two issues that need to be seperated.
  15. Interesting discussion but I believe the Hindus and Moslems were hostile towards the early Sikhism for the same reason today Sikhs are hostile towards the dera. Do you think the Hindus felt bad when verses, concepts and ideas were taken from Hinduism and used in the new religion of Sikhism? Do you think the Hindus and Moslems were justified in being katarvaad towards Sikhs? Or is this just an issue of power, money and influence? Every visitor to the dera means less money and power for the established religions.
  16. As Modi promised, good first step. Better than Mon mohan Singh who gave citizenship to hundreds of Rohingya Muslims that have no connection to the land while Hindus and Sikhs begged for citizenship.
  17. No comments about this? I was expecting a lot more. Well, now there is a national conversation going about these Deras with their sants and gurus. What happened to the good old days when the sants job was only speaking the truth no matter how bitter, and raising awareness about issues. When did sants become gurus and armed criminals?
  18. Human shields were used by terrorists in both operations. I will prove it today with eyewitness testimony from witnesses and pilgrims themselves.
  19. Koi Sion, Did you read nanavatis report about the behavior of the peaceful minorities? Now, before you say Justice Nanavati is a black cat remember he is a learned and well respected judge that has played an important role in the 84 situation. What say oh peaceful minorities?
  20. So, the skeletons come out of the closet. The difference these days in India is that if you leave these rapists on the street for even a minute the public will surely administer their own justice. Tony Paaji where are juuuuu?
  21. Sorry, I didn't know taking ownership my own communities teachings and not letting others use and misuse them was an offence.
  22. Just from today.... he Nanavati-Mehta Commission submitted its final report on the 2002 Godhra Train Carnage that resulted in communal riots causing immense loss to life and property in the Gujarat. The two- member commission comprising retired Supreme Court judge Justice G T Nanavati and retired Gujarat High Court judge Justice Akshay Mehta submitted the report to Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel. Refusing to give any details on the report, Justice Nanavati said it is up to the government to decide the further course of action. "The reports have been submitted. It is up to the government to decide whether they will publish it for the public," said Nanavati. The first part of the Nanavati Commission report was tabled in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly on September 25, 2002 which said that the burning of S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002, was a pre-planned conspiracy and not an accident. he Commission, which went into the burnt coach in which 58 Hindu 'kar sevaks' returning from Ayodhya were killed, said in its report that the pre-planned conspiracy was hatched at the Aman Guest House in Godhra. The probe panel also gave a clean chit to the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and the state police in the subsequent riots that claimed over 1,000 lives. The commission was set up in 2002 and it submitted the first part of its report after six years.
  23. I see that you are offended by the riff raff comment. It was not targetted to you directly or your religion. Just those groups that take the teachings of Hinduism, tweak them, change them around and proclaim a new religion.
  24. Not a blatant lie - it was done by the agencia! Green Cats! How does the minorities treat the majority? Bombings? Executions? Throats Cut? Severed heads of cows? Ethnic cleansing and mass murder, forceful conversions, conversions by threat or trickery, Well, times up! Feel free to take the muslims though. I figure if you can't do well even in the West then there is something wrong with you not the Hindus. Same goes for the Dalits.
