ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤਾ ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਕੀ ਬੇਲਾ ॥ Listen, my friends, I beg of you: now is the time to serve the Saints! Kara▫o benanṯī suṇhu mere mīṯā sanṯ tahal kī belā. I make supplication, listen to me, O my Friend! This is the high time to serve the saints.

Do you plan to do a sampat path of SDGSJ ? I have never heard of it. The Guru Gayatri Mantra ( Gobinde Mukande Udarey Aparey ...), The first pauri of Chandi Di Var , and three other mangalchar sampats were used by Baba Nand Singh Ji in a sampat path of Guru Granth Sahib JI which he completed in a year.

And I think we have become so up-tight that whenever we hear or see images of devi-devta our anus contracts & we get hemorrhoids. We need to relax a bit. I think we have become RSS-phobic. Chandi Mata was a great warrior otherwise Guru Ji would not have mentioned her. There is nothing wrong if Singhs used her images on flags to inspire. Afterall, she was the goddess of war.

There is one group who believes that these enitities do exist in real life including shaheed singhs, devi, 33 crore devta, ghosts, pisach, 52 beer, 9 crore durga, etc etc. I have heard & read enough anecdotes in my life to come to a conclusion that these entities can be real. Universe is bigger than we imagine. If something is mentioned in Gurbani, it probably did happen in actuality. There is another group like Bhagat who focus on the deeper symbolically message. He is also right. Choose whichever approach you like, end of all debates.

This forum has the blessings of Sant Ishar Singh Ji Maharaj Rara Sahib wale (n3o knows ) & many other mahapurkhs of Sikh, Buddhist & Hindu traditions. I have never seen so much praise of Mahapurakhs on any other forum. This is the key to success. Whoever shall bow down to Saints will succeed here & after life.

About 11 years ago, a Sikh forum was a great phenomenon. People were excited to share with their fellow brothers. Msn was just on the rise & being able to talk to strangers was exciting. Everything was new, technology was new, internet was new. The value was high because the resources were scarce. And people would find rare gems. I want to thank kam1825 for their initial efforts in the early days for uploading kathas keertan of various sampardas. I got exposed to many resources through online forums like gurmatveechar.com . The original generation who was enthusiastic has gotten older now & busy with other duties of family life. I was a teenager back then & super excited about stuff. As your thinking matures you want to write less and less, and only write when really important. Most importantly engaging in debates and arguments can really disturb state of mind. So for most people it is better to be silent. I don't think the teenagers or others are interested in these things anymore. They have other things to take their time like instagram, snapchat etc. I wonder whats the new things these days ? These days we have many resources on Sikhism like youtube, websites. Thus, forums are not much needed. Also, I feel that mostly people who are in the academic field or in positions of teaching or professors or PHds, use these forums to practise their writing or debating skills or try to intimidate each other lol. I wonder where are those big guys like Javanmard, is he still a muslim ? What happened to Freed...he was the image hub. The truth is over time as we mature our interests shift or we get busy with other responsibilities. But you def see some gems here and there & learn some interesting concepts.

Baba Sat Singh ji brings a bairagan home, spreads asana of deer skin, wear white chola & white turban and start samadhi. Whole family especially wife gets worried lol.

Sure Sure Ok First of all I assume that by soul, consciousness & energy you mean the same thing. I like to call it atma and lets call it atma for this discussion. I have no doubt that we are all atmas & all the above you said. But you have not explained how the atmas merge with each other ? Is the merging temporary only during intimacy ? What happens when the intimacy ends ? What happens to merging when the couple breaks away or divorces ? What happens to merging when one person dies ? A mother is very intimate with her baby, esp during womb & breastfeeding. She gives her child unconditional love. Is her love for her child any less ? How come her soul does not merge with her daughter. How come her daughter needs a male soul to merge ? My argument is that Atman is a drop from the Parmatma Ocean. Atman only merges with its source that is Parmatma. Currently you are identifying yourself with Body & Mind. The day you realize your soul/Atman you will become Parmatma. You will not need merging with Paramatma or another Atman. In order to talk about these concepts of higher-consciousness in practical lives one must be realized or be an enlightened being. Merely book knowledge without experience is not enough imo. Consciousness/Energy/Soul/Atma/Parmatma is everything & everywhere. It does not need any merging. If we are talking at that level then there is no way of disitinguishing one from another. And there is no such thing as sexual intimacy, love or emotions at that level. Nothing remains. Only Sat Chit Ananda Sarupa remains & that does not need any intimacy to take place. But once you come down to lower consciousness yes intimacy of emotions, body, astral or ethereal or psyche does take place and leaves a psychic impression on each other. But when you are talking about Souls or Atma there is no such things as merging of souls. Only merging of body, emotions, etheral/astral/mental bodies or psyche. 100% of us on this forum have not discovered Atma yet...so lets not throw big concepts of merging of Souls . Soul neither comes nor goes nor merge with any other soul. It only changes bodies due to ignorance or Agyanta.

@Sat1176 You can also try using a bairagan or something as a chin-rest to prevent your head from tilting forward. Tundra basically is like a sleep but of deeper quality. I have not personally experienced it only heard that advanced teachers can help you recognize it. @Raju Can you elaborate on Tundra concept ? Have you personally experienced it. Thanks.

I wish, if only it was that easy. Compassion cannot be taught its a flower that blossoms within a pure heart. But yeah without compassion everything is useless.

How can two souls ever merge with each other ? It does not make sense to me. This seems like a romantic fairy tale concept. I can understand the merging of body, mind & emotions for enough support to carry on the duties of this world. Guru Ji says when the husband dies & comes back as a Ghost, the wife runs away in fear ? Where is the love gone then ? What happened to the merging of souls. ( Imagine me saying this in a calm tone & a smile on my face. Don't get defensive lol )

I grew up in India to be specific. Are you impressed by my taste in TV or just curious. And I am definitely not a Kaur. You won't be disappointed with Daredevil.

I did try watching it. It is dark complex lots of politics/strategy/drama ,hits on taboo stuff . But for me a lot was going on and it seemed slow. Everyone has unique tastes.

I would recommend Band of Brothers or Daredevil Season 2 instead. I could never get myself to watch GOT I am not sure what all the hype is about. Similarly Walking Dead got boring real quick. I guess I have really high standard if I am going to waste my time on a TV show.

I do understand the love between husband & wife but one thing I never understood is where does the love go when wife turns over 50 and the husband feels unsatisfied or frustrated because he cannot get his needs fulfilled. or even after 10 years the love between marriages fade away. Lust is a big part of man & woman love, I dont think it can be spiritual.

Men are also lustful. This gives understanding of Charitars as well. Guru Ji says "The lustful, lecherous man desires many women, and he never stops peeking into the homes of others.Day after day, he commits adultery again and again, and then he regrets his actions; he wastes away in misery and greed. ||3||" Ang 672.
