  4. WJKK WJKF virtual sadh sangat jee, please can you help share your experiences around, those days that you do full nitnem (5 banis am, rehraas sahib, kirtan sohali) versus days that you do not ? As with diwali, guy fawks, gur purab celebrations the indian home has been full - so I manged to miss some bani reading of nitnem. The weirdest thing, the whole day as I sat with guests/family doing what needed to be done - my heart raced double time as as I multi tasked chanting Wa He Gu Ru mantra - I concentrated internally more on the mantra as I felt guilty for missing some nitnem. And my surroundings did feel a noor around them. Paradox, when I do manage to do full nitnem - egotistically feel "good" for doing full paath. When we know that bani is beyant to fully understand and apply. Basically, it seems ego increases if full nitnem done (feeling superior since accomplished a semi defined goal) whilst simran saas saas per prana is just as challenging but doesn't allow ego to creep in as, its not humanly possible to simar per nano second (as humans we are incapable). 8. veer ji - speechless with tears are uncontrollably streaming. bhul chuk maaf mere waheguru
  9. Veerji - thank you. Dhaanyvaad. Shukaryia. On repeat play - I had to use Live Kirtan Gurbani Search to get the shabad lines. Love it. It will keep me engaged for a few days to say the least. Agree- I love the children & ladies voices in background. Very very soothing
  10. Dhaany vaad ! I googled these too! any kathas ?
  11. Funny that - Islam also believes in one God and they believe Halleujah spelt backwards are angels actually singing Allah Hu. Vedic teachings also believed in one God - I havent read the vedic scriptures but know Pandits that have and agree Hindus believe in One God - the concept of idol worship came much later as divisions in Hindu scriptures begun post Vedas.
  12. WJKK WJKF, Please can some links to who Dhruv was be shared ? Prahlad briefly I know was a young innoncent child who did a lot of bhagti .... kanas mama. And Prahlad comes up in Rehraas and Asa Di Var. Dhruv, Im sure is in bani but cannot remember where and curious. WJKK WJKF
  13. Agree with this. We all are at various Avaastas in our spiritual development. Given Kirpa (blessings and guidance) , when the time is right - Akaal Purkah will guide to the place of a Maha Maha Sant. As developing into inner depths of Gurbani is layered. Koi Naara Koi Door, Karmi Apna Apna (which includes Karams of previous life times). So dont be hard on yourself and dont chase the sunset, work towards it - else chasing it you loose the essence. Allow it to be with an open heart and firm practice to recognize oneself deeply first Apna Mol Pechan. Bhul Chuk Maaf Karana Mere Waheguru
  14. Precisely, I have met many Hindus with this monotheistic view from vedas.
  15. Sadh Sangat and Sat Sangat - Often I found surrounded by magnificent nature. Khudarat. When there is no sikhs around.
  16. Sadh Sangeet Jee - Does anybody know where a full collection of Rattan (Jewel) Giani Makeen Jees kathas can be found ? I have looked up youtube - looking for full portal. WJKK WJKF
  17. Veer Jee, I only mange 3 banis in morning, rehraas and kirtan sohali. Sometimes its only 2 banis in morning. I was at one stage trying to do 4 banis in am getting up at 0300 - I would often faint in day. I felt I should not be chasing the sunset, as beyant bani is sent as kirpa and comes only with kirpa to reach various avaastas. Burning the candle at both end will make us tired, miserable and grumpy least to say. Hence step by step what we are supposed to do not trying to compete with anyone, especially ourselves. As long as we try our best. We all should know what our best is without burning out. With Wahegurus Jees kirpa, I might do 4 banis again in am. Possibly, waheguru is asking me to read and apply certain parts of the 2 banis and rehraas, kirtan sohali more closely. Kundalani I do a lot of when travelling as guru ghars out in certain parts of europe are only open sundays, so I find sangat of kundalani folks to jap naam with. Which is great. Some of the Kundalani Kriyas can leave you exhasuted, others exhirated depending on prana and of course kirpa. Bhul Chuk Maaf Mere Waheguru
  18. WJKK WJKF Veer Jee's Is the literal meaning of Rom Rom from Sanskrit or Persian meaning body parts (ie all inclusive of every cell that makes up a human universe) ? As recently I came across some Bullah Shah Poetry where Rom Rom is also mentioned. Growing hair is a significance of allowing to be rather than objectified for myself (having weekly trips to waxing parlours was painful and now I feel liberated. And will not be going back !) Apart from the objectification, a greater mystic, earthly, grounding element exits to growing hair across many cultures from native Americans, indigenous Australians, Japanese, Egyptian and many more. There's a real truth to the feeling - I cant quantify it - only having known the 2 different phases of having cut hair and now not cutting hair - I experience a level of completeness and acceptance.
  19. WJKK WJKF Thank you veerji for sharing. Hanji - absolutely spot on. I went to ask the video sharer source and like you state the women is of the Rajput Clan (north India). Dress of women and the men in rajashatani style turbans also denoted north India. However, Puja to Durga Ma (aka Kala Ma) is done a lot in south India (as my parents told me). Hence why I was baffled a bit. Agree totally on neo sikhism trying to hijack. When there are unparallel eternal references all over - one of which you clearly share on Khanda carvings in Chandi caves and of course shaastra Puja which have been used for centuries across india and other countries. Beauty being that a Sikh - can till this day carry a shaastra as a form of kirpa. I don not know of any other culture/religion in present day that does so with such humility. Veerji - do you know about Dharamsalas - and if any exist in the world today ? Deeply. Thank you. WJKK WJKF
  20. Obviously you need to increase your theology knowledge on ISM - HindiuISM, SikhISM, BuddhISM (funny the abhramic religions are not embedded with ISM). Nobody is meddling. Its about seeking the truth. The truth of where roots go to. Not just believe what your told with no subjective open mind and heart. Without questioning and truly knowing, you become yet another sheep. Blind leading Blind.
  21. WJKK WJKF thanks veerji. I can forward the video on a shared whatsapp channel - unless theres a way to download it? Jaikaara Veer ji please let us know. Bhul Chuk Maaf
  22. Sikh -ism does not exist. A colonial concept. Sikhi has existed through primordial universes
  23. love this. it summarizes a multitude so clearly. thanks for sharing. i have saved in my snippets book
  24. WJKK WJKF will take a listen. I came across video today on whatapp from india - where i believe durga ma puja is being done by rajputs - the women namskaars to the long sword and then preforms a warrior like martial arts dance. At the end again she namskaars to the shaastra. "chants being done are in sanskrit or veda Im guessing, as the only word I understood was"Prabu". So now im wondering what this is and whether this ritual of swords originated from for women ? Any ideas be hugely appreciated.
  25. Veer ji - what is raag Mala ? Recently over last 1.5 years, I finally started to sing. This was after going to guru ghars and singing kirtan bani from via my iphone (so at least I could understand what I was singing to a certain degree). Prior to this, as a young child in india part of the national curriculum was kathak - where an ustaad would teach us classical music and kathak - I was traumatized as I always got left and right wrong as a child. Hence later in life, I wanted to connect to singing (as I was prevented to do so for a majority of my adult life)..... and well gurbani simran and kirtan in sangat at guru ghar blew my soul apart - (it was far better than singing along in secret to songs of praise, a uk program, that I used to do at home on sunday when nobody was around). Hence the joy of singing and learning entire SGGS ji apart from when kirtanis start adding their own bits of Sa Ra Ga Ma inbetween a shabad - that used to throw me off and bring back memories of my childhood kathak.... Hence can somebody please share the parallels of Raags - how this maps to classical hindi music and what each raag means ? As classical hindi & qawali music I do enjoy listening to - as long as Im not doing kathak mixing my lefts and rights ! Bhul Chuk Maaf Karna
