Yeah toronto has some same issues, if seriously if sikhs wants to make parchar as main livelihood/full time as source of income where parcharik you have to feed your family too, you better off making youtube videos popular ones-like nanak naam has done (viritual parchar model) with donate page and also write a book on spirituality make money through that via wider audience than going to gurdwara with per-determined outcome of charavahas from sangat its just not realistic, steady or sustainable. We -canadian sikhs hardly donate. I remember i tried so hard with malton gurdwara committe years ago to get one of parcharaik to do parchar on stage at malton, there is so much red tape getting parcharik to do parchar in gurdwara. They won't even agree paying half of his air fare let alone full. Now things have gotten better in malton but its same problem everywhere with canadian gurdwaras

In my opinion, knowing gurmukhi is nice to have but not prerequisite for spiritual journey especially since fairly accurate esoteric translations are available. But yes knowning gurmukhi is really good to have understand foundations of gurbani and sikhi.

Psychology topic itself is very fascinating, if you do some deep study on it, you be astonished to come across - deep layers of mind and ego of human, how complex they are, how many zillions of defense mechanism humans use to cope for ego survival- to stand on always, how ego feels threatened, how ego always require sense of security, cause to represent, how it thrives on conflict and division, how conditioning forms. One can also get deep understanding on various religious groups, people, movements, social media groups, spiritual materialism etc etc

I think it be amazing if someone starts a big project and break it down-deconstruct and write commentary of each gurbani shabad addressing to which layer of human body. For eg- Maha vak shabads* are directly addressed to bibek/soul layer of human body for unity with jiv atma and paratama - individual soul unity with vahiguru universal soul. Man tu jot saroop hai apna mool painchain is addressed to bibek / mind layer of human body to find source of itself. I believe there might be some shabads also which addresses to physical body perhaps be healthy? *

I know infamous singh sabha gurdwara in brampton - Sikh Lehar Center recently went through polar opposite committee change and total over haul. I was there at somebody function, they are much more panthic in terms in parchar. They had puratan samparda literature in their library.

If bullying case goes to school and or court house. It can be recommended to judge or principle to have bully attend sikh seminar or gurdwara as community work so that they can be taught about sikhism and remove ignorance and hatred from their mind and heart.

I wanted to start an open discussion if amritdhari can marry non amritdhari? As general rule, as per maryada we are all told No which is fine as there has to be principle and rules-rehit in sikhi otherwise people will walk all over it. However, this is not clear cut issue. It's not a rule written on a stone, its assessed case by case basis by panj pyares, panj pyares are authority not single sikh who can impose/enforce such a blanket role on all. I believe strongly one should not hide or withhold information from masses as many christians have done to control the masses and sway them in one dimensional thought process or direction. At the end, its left to person who is not amritdhari to make decision. If yes, thats great, both are given amrit, if not, one person who is ready given amrit. Along with malton taksali gurdwara, nanaksar gurdwara allows it. In India, hazoor sahib allows it where bibi is given kirpan da amrit. Your thoughts?
