  1. I wonder when he will deal with Sikh extremists too. There are dangerous fanatics from all religions, not just Islam. But the focus here seems to be on attacking Islam exclusively. A more effective way to deal with the threat of terrorism than simply shutting up people who express opinions you don't like might be to follow Spain's example and pull troops out of Iraq. Also to revise foreign policy on Israel-Palestine.
  2. Nobody has yet owned up to watching Star Trek..
  3. Don't think a leaflet would work. A presence at the pubs and clubs might.
  4. Hey those are nice pictures (sewapanthi site).
  5. Hey Baz. There's a museum in London showing pics of some victims of road traffic accidents, including motorcyclists who WERE wearing helmets. If you saw it you would change your mind about changing the law. Your head is the one bit of kit they can't fix if you break. Maybe a type of helmet could be developed that fixes inside the Sikh turban that would be acceptable both as a motorcycle helmet and not conflict with religious values? Ride safely.
  6. it's a con called "mass hysteria". most religions use this device on purpose. [edit: censored. you ain't ready for the explanation]
  7. http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article...ource=PA%20Feed Queen to visit victims of tragedy The Queen will visit people involved in the London bomb tragedy. Details of the visit were not available, but a Buckingham Palace spokesman said it was to express her support. In an open message released on Thursday, she spoke of her shock at the terrorist attacks. "I know I speak for the whole nation in expressing my sympathy to all those affected and the relatives of the killed and injured. "I have nothing but admiration for the emergency services as they go about their work." The Queen travelled to Windsor on Thursday after hosting a dinner for political leaders at the Gleneagles G8 summit on Wednesday night. Buckingham Palace was sealed off in the wake of the terrorist blasts with armed police and army personnel on guard. The Union Jack flying over the palace was lowered to half mast, at the Queen's request, in a mark of respect for the dead and injured. The projection of Second World War images onto the palace, which has been taking place this week to mark Veterans Awareness Week, was also cancelled.

  11. Sorry you didn't like it. Hope N30 or Pheena can help you out.
  12. There can be no answer as your question is based on the false premise that experiences in ego can reflect a realisation of egolessness. Any feeling "you" have would be a pure result of brain chemistry i.e. the food you ate.
  13. No I am the first to answer. Or should that be "repond"..
  14. Someone has to do it to keep the rabbits' population down humanely. And it's a way to start (easy prey), if you have no one to teach you to hunt larger game or if you don't have the resources. I find trapping of 4-legged beasts inhumane. wouldn't hunt them without a powerful rifle, which is illegal to own so wouldn't do it. Have to adapt to foreign countries while still retaining something of the original gypsy.
  15. Who says it refers to either? The question might have been posed as food for thought/contemplation.
