  1. I was talking about Rarewale Sant when you asked me this.
  2. doesnt matter what you think, its a subjective measure sant is a measure of avastha - those people died under persecution - its better to die for truth than live for a lie. What exactly did Sant Jarnail Singh do that warranted an attack on the Golden Temple? All he asked for was fair treatment.
  3. here is your quote jinaa saas giraas n visarai har naamaa(n) man ma(n)th || Those who do not forget the Lord, with each breath and morsel of food, whose minds are filled with the Mantra of the Lord's Name dhha(n)n si saeee naanakaa pooran soee sa(n)th ||1|| - they alone are blessed; O Nanak, they are the perfect Saints. ||1|| You need a murshid to teach you who Guru Granth Sahib Ji is, you would spend years and years to learn a language on your own- but a teacher can teach you the basics in a few weeks. So how can you expect to learn who Guru Sahib is, when that is the hardest knowledge in the universe to get? Who is going to join you to anbhav and guide you through it towards the Guru? only one who knows can do this - only Bhramgianis can teach this. another quote: Jis no tu janaeh, soi jan janeh. Har gun sad hi akh vakhanai why make sweeping generalisations? No one said that there arent fake sants. One thing I do know is that N30 is no problem causer. You may not mean it, but read back your posts - they make assertions and generalisations that can be offensive...i know its unintentional and you jus wanna know more, but they are a lil ambiguos.
  4. erm no, she is talking about the St Isher Singh that I mentioned a few posts earlier - quit deleting stuff from my posts add your link if you want. The St Isher Singh Story I mentioned earlier is at http://www.bhorasahib.com/Jeevan%20Sakhi.htm suman
  5. St Isher Singh Maharajs short life story can be found here: Mod's note: I think she is talking about sant baba isher singh ji nanaksarwale..link corrected:: http://gurdwarananaksar.us/english/main_is_e.html
  6. he had kamai of many janams, and eventually got partak darshan of Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj - he was not a normal child. Even St Isher Singh Ji Maharaj when he was a child went and sat next to a holy man - when his parents said to come down the holy man said its ok - the child was going to be a great saint. no ones idolising a photo. The photo is here because it interesting - a picture of a Pooran Mahapursh in a previous life. Im sure N30 meant that he hadnt seen it in any Sant Mahapursh - ie he wasnt talking about any of the Guru Sahibs who are of course the source of all Mahapursh.
  7. then why do you deny their existence Remember Guru Sahib said that there was no Hindu and no Musulman - because the religions had been bastardised.
  8. what has things that happen at the farm got to do with jhoot? do you not wash what you buy before you eat it? the main cause of jhoot etc is the actual eating of food
  9. nice site n all but it bugs me how you've plastered you're sits name in the middle of all the pics... at least put in as a line at the bottom or something...
  10. pisht who said all human beings are equal? this isnt a feminist board Gurbani says to hold yourself below all those around you, not to look at them as equals.
  11. the difference between Sikhi and Hinduism is that we dont worship the Hindu gods. We are told the truth of how they are created and who they are and what they did. Nowehere are we told to worship them. On the contrary - all their feats end up being attributed to Waheguru. The Hindu trinity does not get nadar of Waheguru - this is his play - they are not Nirankar - bt that does not mean that they are not huge devte. Even in Dasam Granth Sahib, after description of something a Hindu god has done it is followed with a phrase like 'the Creator himself has created this play' According to Chandi Di Vaar there are two sides to devte - the demons and the 'gods' - that fight each other. Both the feats of the demons and gods are praised by Guruji. Sikhi is above both of these - we take no side - we have no enemy. This is nishani of a true Sikh - that they have no enemy, you only fight when it necessary, and is the right thing to do - when all other means have failed. We only fight in self defence, otherwise our duty is to serve the Creator, the one True God.
  12. if you had been eating with the hands you use to tear the roti - thats joota two people eating daal from the same dish at the same time - joota the only exception i know is eating leftover food of a Mahapursh, and of your mother. i cant see how who the people who harvested the food are has anything to do with this. Joot comes in from the time when the food is being cooked, as soon as it is washed. If it falls on the ground - joot - but can be washed agian if its fruit or summin If people taste the food and use the same hands to keep cookin without washing - thats also joot. you should avoid eating food made by people that are angry while makin it as much as possible.
  13. he was a Sant what makes you think he wasnt? I have it on pretty high authority that he is a sant
  14. dude the reason we dont eat meat is that it is made of all 5 elements - and puts a greater load on you to work off. veggies etc are made of less elements - they are a simpler life form and less difficult to work off the load of killing them - why do you think Sants eat so little. If you want to eat meat then go ahead, but dont complain if you end up back in the cycle of janam/maran. all this talk about staeling it from the cow etc has nothing to do with it, how the cow is treated etc also has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Sikhs wear leather - the cow dies for this, the point is that we dont eat it. Tabla skin is made from goat etc etc...

  17. nothing wrong with wearing gold. first time goldentemple was gilded it was done by maharaja ranjit singh this time it was done by donations from sangat worldwide.
  18. its the sangats fault if theyre told not to matha tek and they keep doing it. he cant force them to stop, matha tek and giving him gifts - people have a right to decide for themselves. like i said - if his kamai is not rooted in Gurbani it will hurt him when people matha tek. so far everything you have said shows that the sangat is doing the wrong thing even though Ranjit Singh tells them not to - it is the sangat at fault not Ranjit Singh. again - how can you blame him for people not listening to what he teaches? The Guru does not do vaidrogi with anyone - when people started claimin the Guruship after Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji left their sareer, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji went to live in a basement. The truth is immortal and doesnt have to prove itself to anyone.
  19. i dont get your point...what is it you want to achieve. If he's doing something wrong then its on his head and he'll have to answer to Dharamraja - has nothing to do with us.
  20. does the cow die when you milk it Sikhs dont eat meat coz its made of all 5 elements and holds you back spiritually, milk isnt.
