  3. can you send it to me too please? ...i cant access the hub for some reason
  4. i know its a late reply but this is BS you dont have to wear a keski - you jus need to keep your head covered.
  5. none of us should comment about anyone no matter what they do keep your Sikhi as best you can and forget about other people. Dekh ke andit...
  6. there are way more than 2 mantars mool and gur mantars are the two central Sikh mantars. different mantars have different effects, am not sure what the difference is here though.
  7. its gonna get worse. in the next jug anyone that takes the name of God will be killed. its already more sociually acceptable to be atheist than religious.
  8. a ritual is a habitual thing you do that has no meaning. all the steps laid out are not ritualistic - they are maryada, part of the technique of the chalisa. Its not a ritual - you decide when you want to do it. If this is a ritual then cleaning a house, laying chaddra, making a manji sahib/ charni before starting an Akhand path is alos ritualistic. Next people will be saying that the maryada for Sukhasn etc are ritualistic. look at a picture of any Mahapurkh in samaadhi, they will be sitting on a sheet/carpet, with a steel pot of water in front of them. 40 days is just a calculation of how long it will take to do - just like Akhand paath takes 48 hours. Mool Mantar Jaap is not easy - try doing one full mala of mool mantar jaap and see what happens. The jot will attract shakti and will keep the place clear of negative energy. The maryad of the ghee was started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself. you drink the water because its amrit. You do the chitey to cool the room (ishnaan) - jus like you do in frint of Guru Sahib. As you can see - he was advised by Giani Thakur Singh Simply saying Waheguru is not simran - everyone says Waheguru. You need to do paath in the right environment for real simran and abhyaas to start. Mool mantr is the highest mantar - sava lakh jaap of mool mantar wil bring huge fal - I believe it enables you to see the difference between true/false in everything you do so that you can act through anbhav - and then real simran can start. It only seems like a ritual to you because you do not understand what it is and the effect it has. you need to know the correct technique to do paath - the problem with Sikhi today is that no one follows the correct trechnique - no one teaches the Sikhs how to do paath, sit in samaadhi. And when someone knows then everyone else starts saying its a ritual/meaningless. If you look at xylitol's post you'll see that he says that this is the 'maryada' - thats just it, your average Sikh that only goes to your average Gurudwara on Sunday will know nothing about maryada unless they make it a point to find out. If you want to know for sure then try it and see - dont knock it till you try it
  9. sounds like Maharaji telling us that all the saints are the same prem ka khed
  10. and Guruji knew exactly where they were after they died...they were jeevan mukt remember
  11. Rara Sahib jatha is probably busy with Sant Isher Singh Ji's birthday
  12. does anyone know the sakhi about when they got Guru Nanak Dev Ji's darshan and what happened? thanks
  13. can someone tell me the significane of the order in which the panj pyare answered Maharajis call, and the meanings of their names. thanks
  14. depends on what you classify as superstitious. ...and they may seem religious, but true faith in God shows in your actions and decisions. A Sikh will look Jam in the eye and not move from his/her path.
  15. yea should be alright. I wouldnt tr to do paath without covering my head, but learning it should be ok.
  16. when you do ardas say 'Jo tudh bhavai soi changa', make me into whatever pleases you. whenever something bad happens say everything happens for the best - 'jo kich kare soi palmanoo'. Whenver something good happens, 'Sabh teri vadiaee'. stop thinking of the past present and future - accept that whatever happens is good, whether we can see the good or not - how GuruJi works and how He is going to give us things is beyond us.
  17. the bani is Guru Granth Sahib Ji, not the paper it is printed on, the paper would be worthless if it didnt have bani printed on it. The bani is the jaagdi jot of the Gurus, in anbhav saroop.
  18. wow...this is a huge question, and N30 et all can probably answer better than me but as fas as I know: earth is a dharamsal - and as humans we have been given the opportunity to merge with Maharaji, an opportunity which even devte wish they could have. there are many naraks or 'hells' and many khands, karam Khands, Saram khands etc, read Jap Ji Sahib. we either go to these places depending on how we live our lives, or we may be reincarnated as animals or possibly human if we deserv it... theres a shabad which says: if dying thought is of, women you will come back as a prostitute, money you'll come back as a snake. it goes on but i froget exactly what it says, people who lead generally good lives, and are 'good people' but dont do bhakti come back as dogs. They have easy lives, but dont have access to bhakti. we believ in the existance of all these places, but we do not aspire to any as Sikhs. - we are to live according to the Hukam, thats what a SSikh aspires to. Whether that means Sach Khand or narak is besides the point.
  19. a bunch of reasons I think First and in my opinion, the most important - it is the Gurus hukam that we shouldnt cut our hair. - shows submission to will of God - is a distinct form - you can always pick out a Sikh in a crowd, which also means we can never deny Maharaji the way Peter did Jesus. -at a high avastha every single hair on your body vibrates with Waheguru.
  20. lol edit: first i thought he was joking.... ...you cant really kick jamdoots ass can you?...i wouldnt think, if you've been doing stuff that makes you deserve jamdoots turning up when you die, they will be working in Akaals hukam, which cant be overturned. I heard of this Sant, that had some haumai near his death, and he was sent near narak on his way to SachKand, if people like that go near narak then we have no cahnce if jamdoot show up. Though he did give mukti to the souls in said naraks...and it was also said that his haumai was done in Akaals hukam so that he could go empty those naraks. You dont need to die to challenge akaal...go to a puran mahaprush and try challenge them and see what happens to you.
  21. i have a 1MBps connection and this site is slow. maybe your hosts?... flash sites with streaming video open faster than SA sometimes.
  22. As a Sikh you shouldnt really care, mar-jeevan. dead or alive shouldnt be a difference, whatever Maharji wants is good.
  23. kalyug is a shakti. Its not in our power to break free from kalyug, you have to put yourself in Maharajis hands, only He can set you free from Kalyug's power. Sabh thay vada Satigur Nanak jin kal raakhi meri.
  24. plug the skybox into the vcr and the vcr into the tv, so that sky is routed to the tv via the vcr. when you hit record on the vcr it'll record sky.
