  1. oh sorry just to clarify that it was only the idea of the stomach becoming a graveyard that the Mahapursh told me, not the soul thing that was my own views but I guess I was wrong. (Mahapursh was one of those gupt jewls who has moved on to his eternal home now )
  2. hmm thats interesting, I'll have to think about that although I'm still sticking with the belief.
  3. well, I'm just saying I dont agree with the UK admin cut crew (eg. insult against respected Gursikhs, jathas and practices)
  4. I have been told a story along these lines by a Mahapurash so I will believe it as fact. What makes plants and animals different is the lack of soul, we have to understand it what way the word 'dead' is being used here, not biologically but more in the sense of the moving on of the soul.
  5. Thank you very much N30 S!NGH ! Reply has been immensely helpful and has removed many doubts, thank you again, thank you all who are answering these questions, I pray that Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj blesses you all
  6. LOL just sit however you feel comfortable, do ardaas, concentrate on how to do naam japna 24/7 not how to sit a certain way! To use the colloquialism "nuffin long" I have read sakhia of Gurmukhs getting darshan while lying with their legs open, so it makes no difference how you sit, in fact I concentrate on Naam much better when I'm actually comfortable. Then again whatever works for you best No offence to any pyara Gursikh
  7. only need guru sahib's shabad and Kirpa, nothing else "Jeh dooje pasoh mangiyeh theh laaj maraye" meaning, "If you go somewhere else then you will be dishounoured" think about it, do you think the simple Sikhs from Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj's arrival would have had to concern themselves with trivial methods such as this? HAHA
  8. SIKHS BELIEVE IN SACHEE SARKAR ONLY! I believe Maharaj di fauj in Mughal times would have been considered terrorists, do you not? Offcourse we should be diplomatic and present ourselves in a respectable way, but in some cases the truth is the truth as harsh as it sounds. Some of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji's quotes are mindblowing in terms of how they would sound to outsiders, while at the same time you can look at how well he answered the questions in the interview with the English man.
  9. ^ I suppose Guru Maharaj has decided to shower his kirpa While waiting for a response from Sant-Sipahi people, I thought I'd ask another quick question on here in regards to Charitropakhiyaan (btw Treh Chitar is a name interchangeble with this right?) I have heard that supposedly the maryada for this is only for men to read it? Does everyone believe that or is it only the fake guys, and if that's true how come Guru Ji did not right a text for Bibia, but infact singled them out as being the wrongdoers? thanks again
  10. thank you all for your answers I do find that womb idea very reasonable, it makes alot of sense hmm, well for those quotes they didnt work for me, I mean its a specific line about Bhagat Ramanand Sahib Ji, it just seems like an excuse (sorry) however I am quote interested in the point made my "Chatanga", is it possible to eleborate on how we know that is a different Ramanand being reffered to? This would explain both how it is not insulting to Bhagat sahib and also how Islam is mentioned as coming afterwards I will definently get intouch with the SantSipahi people! They are about to be flooded lol. Thank you
  11. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh Before I start I want to say I'm a die hard believer in Sri Jaap Sahib, Sri Akaal Ustat, Sri Chandi Di Vaar, Sri Zafarnama, and Sri Chaupai Sahib (not the rest of charitropakhiyaan) I have not looked deeply into the different Avtaar texts, but will do so. At the moment my main problems are with Bachitra Natak and Charitropakhiyaan, as for my belief in Chaupai Sahib I will be honest and say I cannot answer as to its inclusion in the chartripakhyaan but all I can say is my belief in that is strong. Bachitra Natak has alot of concepts which are hard to understand offcourse, such as how the Guru Jot is the same if Guru Sahib was Dusht Daman, although I would be willing to try to understand that, if it were not for one HUGE problem with this thuk: ਪੁਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮਾਨੰਦ ਕੋ ਕਰਾ ॥ ਭੇਸ ਬੈਰਾਗੀ ਕੋ ਜਿਨਿ ਧਰਾ ॥ Then I created Ramanand, who adopted the path of Bairagi. Around his neck he wore necklace of wooden beads and did not comprehend the ways of the Lord.25. comparing this to Guru Granth Sahib Ji Mahraj ਰਾਮਾ ਭਗਤਿ ਰਾਮਾਨੰਦੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ रामा भगति रामानंदु जानै ॥ Rāmā bẖagaṯ Rāmānanḏ jānai. Raamaanand knows the devotional worship of the Lord. and Bhagat Sahib's very own shabad speaks of his realisation of God in a complete contrast to how he is "insulted" in bachitra natak. Not to mention how his coming is mentioned before Muhammed/Islam. So if a supporter can explain this to me then I will appreciate it thank you in advance Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  12. i really find this thing about 72 nit avatars hard to beleive. I do want to make it clear here that i do belive that there were and are true sants in this world, that deserve full respect and all that. However to say that these sants were incarnations of Guroo Nanak Dev Ji Mahraj is very rong, and i think any sants would be upset at being labled as such. Guroo Nanak Dev Ji's jot only moved on once the jot had left the current body. The last place the jot went was Guroo Granth Sahib Ji Mahraj, Guroo Granth Sahib Ji Mahraj, is unique in the way that he will be here forever in body form aswell, because theyre form does not work the same way as human body whcih earlier Guroo Sahibs had. Taking this into account, how can these 72 sants contain Guroo Nanak Dev Ji's jot inside when it is in Guroo Granth Sahib Ji?
  13. Its been almost a whole month and its still in approval? My last topic was also closed like that and not even brought back, whats going on??
  14. If the bhagats were not followers of Guroo Sahib, then where did they get naam? they needed Satguroo to give it to them, as only Guroo Nanak Dev Ji recieved naam from Vaheguroo himself.
  15. HAHAHAHAHAH thanks, that gave me the biggest laugh of the day! hahahahah
  16. I'm actually going to requote what I said earlier, because it seems you only took notice to the first 6 words I wrote, as Sikhs atleast have the humility to just have a listen to your veer. Nowhere did i say that raag isnt important, I agree we should always use the raag that Guroo Sahib told us to use for that shabad. However what I was trying to say is, that if raag is mood, why is it confined to a tune? I'm not in favour of bollywood tunes in the least, those who sing them are the same as some raagis that show of all the raag they can do with all the saaa reee gaa sa re ga ma pa etc. however isnt a simple tune filled with bairaag for a shabad in jaijawanti, which is the raag expressing bairaag exactly what Guroo sahib wanted? Also, if someone had NO raag training whatsoever, but out of pure love for guroo sahib they wanted to sing a shabad, and while singing the shabad was encompassing the exact mood of the raag the shabad was written in, are you going to stop them?
  17. i know nothing on this subject, however, I was always under the impression that raag was the mood, do u not think it is possible that a loving kirtani of guroo sahib could be in the mood of the shabad? I find alot of times, that with these fully raag trained kirtanis, they are not really in that mood of the shabad, they are merely playing the raag, not feeling it. You decide what Guroo sahib would have liked more, someone actually feeling in that mood of the shabad, or someone playing the tune?
  18. What kind of forum is this? I wrote a very reasonable post and it gets deleted. On top of all that you dont even have the decency to give me an explanation? and ur the guys calling tapoban.org, taliban.org?
  19. Sorry, just remembered another objectional para on that site "It is the Chatka-eating, Sukha-drinking Akali Nihangs that the present day Akhand Kirtanis in particular find extremely offensive. All A.K.J. insist, contrary to ALL historical evidence that, true Akali Nihangs of past never consumed Sukha or Chatka. Yet strangely enough, Randhir Singh’s early association with Akali Nihangs, and later close friendship with the Sikh holy man, Akali Nihang Kaur Singh of Kashmir, seems to have been ignored by the A.K.J." The site fails to mention that although having friendship with Akali ji, he was not happy with his jhata eating, so much so he even wrote an article in objection. the very article can be read here http://www.tapoban.org/akalikaur.htm
  20. as far as i know the sevadars of sarbloh.info are on this site. I would just like to say, that bhai sahib bhai randhir singh ji's autobiography has been unfairly quoted, to present him in a bad light. Because they quoted it exactly, they are able to say everything there is fact, however if u quote only part of a section, then it obviously presents the case unfairly.this is what is on the site: "One has to appreciate that Randhir Singh, although seen by many as being a sincere Sikh in many ways, may have been duped very easily such as in the case of the ‘Raagmala’. For example, whilst in prison, he was convinced by one Hira Singh into accepting the dark arts of alchemy. Randhir Singh himself writes: ‘He [Hira Singh] gave me the secret of making gold out of copper---.’ ‘Autobiography of Bhai Randhir Singh’, translated by Trilochan Singh Pa.149" So, in this way, they present bhai sahib as a practicioner of , as they put it "dark arts", however they fail to mention that the very next day, before he had even used the formula himself, he realised how wrong this was, and threw the piece of paper on which the formula was written, straight into the fire. I would like to make a request that they please edit the page to give all readers the full facts, before deciding whether bhai sahib "accpeted" these dark arts. Thank you for your time
