I dont know the ins and outs of RA and SC , thats between them , but I was also learning from RA and your ustaad , he is very very good , RA comes across as very professional but on my personal experience it failed to deliver what it initially advertised , very sad indeed I and all the other students sincerely hoped they continued but sadly was not the case Anyway , SC had a lot of complaints , some narrow minded people about your ustaad on the channel and I'm pretty sure that had a part to play in RA probably being mistreated if that. Anyway if RA still wants to broadcast their programmes , I dont think SC will push them away the oneous would be on RA in the sense if they are still willing to do so .

It has started , the name calling bickering , personal conflicts etc.. etc... when will we grow up All the channels will have so called Masands at the top , having there own agenda or what they think is right for the sangat . Again , why could they not work together use the sanagats funds mor productively .... If someone dont agree with Sanagat TV / Sikh TV will they then open another channel

I personally think you want quality rather than quantity , plus ( i may be wrong here , hopefully I am) why could they not work together , why not be under the same umberalla , have the different channels , one showing news, discussion , etc.. , the other education , kids stuff , etc.. etc .. but all controlled by one body like National Sikh Media federation , therefore properly monitored , channel wont repeat the same programmes , funding will be distributed amongst the channels, all sangat welcome to take part in programmes with properly vetted material . Especially when it comes making people aware of Sikhism , I believe competition is not good ,who are we competing against and why the need to compete espeically if its for sarbat the bhalla and all are supposedly opened as a charitable status. You'll create a division between the community , certain people will support certain channel because the other one wont let them do X or didnt listen to them , all petty stuff On one side they want panthic ekta , on ther other hand thy want to go there own way . I sincerely hope they all come under one umberella , work together , make a stronger community

There is software out there which will take a copy of all the pages "any site" but it wasnt legal. You can on every html page displayed do view source and copy that away to a file , the issue being if your offline you shuld be able to do that anyway on a separate server or even your own PC ( your test dev environment) the issue you may face if the web pages accesses external storage or external links , where if not allowed or not on the network you wont be able to access.

Raagmala , I think its all wrong , giving a bad image to Sikhi , all it is that these guys want to eat meat . Why not go to there local butchers and ask for lamb chops , lamb tikka , lamb kebab in pita bread or go to there local chippy Its only for their taste buds .... very sad , very sad indeed

Very Good in the sense its an eye opener as do we understand what we are celebrating or know about the history of the Gurudawara we are/have visited . Certainly an eye opener ... back to basics. The problem or shall i say the challenge in my personal opinion we face especially visiting the Gurudawaras in India is that its hard to find someone who can tell you about the history. They should have guides who can converse in English and Punjabi who can take groups of people around the Gurudawara telling them about the History . I visited Sri Haramdar Sahib last year , there were several English couples from the UK wanting to know more about the history , and what they were allowed to do or visit at Sri Harmandar Sahib. When I approached them the little knowledge I had , I shared but some suggestions made by them were that there should be tour guides , more literature available for all to understand the history, as it is such a beautiful , peaceful place of worship. So all excited I was on a mission to find a jatedar of Sri Harmandar Sahib to make this suggestion , could I find any .... being passed from pillar to post , then back in the UK I emailed amrtisar ( they have a website cant remember the exact details but have them somewhere) emailed them about the suggestion , did they reply , hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I dont really know about Mr Bals internal thoughts or who thought about the idea first , you will read numerous accounts of peoples views some for and some against .... that is irrelevant.... but sadly it is in todays society The point being a sikh channel has opened , ( your last sentence about believing Sir Guru Grant Sahib Ji hits the nail on the head) How many of us really follow or believe what Sir Guru Granth Sahib is teaching us , one being forgive and forget / work together ) I know nothing just a fool who would like to see the Sikh community especially the so called leaders work together and not create their own niche , their own agenda . Yes the channel to start off with was a bit wishy washy but in my view was quite good , good to see something about SIkhism being portrayed to the sangat , and time and time again they requested for sangats help. Jattboot Deal , we should take the idea to Dragons Den( i'm sure no ones done it before ,we'll be the first and ask for £550,321 ( go 50/50) Its not the content i have an issue with , but why didnt Soho Road Wale , work together with the Sikh Channel ( as both are charity channels , hopefully with the same agenda, plus they are trying to setup a Sikh Comittee gathering young/old and others from all over the UK who can represent Sikhs at a national and global level to help in issues like turban , kirpan etc.... have one voice for the Sikhs ).... would the new channel ( hopefully not) put a divide between the community .

Although competition is healty it can also be a downfall , since they are supposedly sangats Channel ( no one asked me if its ok to open a channel Secondly why cant they all work together ? Have your separate offices around the country but feed into one channel as the saying goes less is more I personally see "channel bashing going on " WHY cant they work together , why oh why ?

A child 18 months old dies of a cot death , why ? why take such a life at a very young age? .... an earth/sunami quake kills thousands of innocent people , why ? If god exists and our ultimate aim is to be one with waheguru, why didnt GOD protect the innocent ? 2. He is very good , but wheres the humbleness ? he seems very angry , swearing for no reason .... I personally believe if he has a gift , teach it with piare you will get alot more students , as he may be a very good in what he does , but does not necssarily mean he can teach well.

I agree Shaheediyan some good points and I have emailed him on his site. I believe its worth dicussing with people who are seeking to change , looking to learn , dont know which way to turn , hence want to discuss, but people like this who have chosen Christianity no matter what we discuss with them , they have already chosen their path , hence why waste our time and his time , why dont he practice / live his religion or unless the funny thing would be he is practicing his religion this way

The guys an idiot. The thing I dont understand is , if he has found Christianity a relogion for him , why not follow it , practice it , live it ...... why compare against other religions ?

I believe the biggest problem is people dont want to make the effort , get out of their comfort zones , discipline themselves , to read what is in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji for themselves and practice it , they rather hear someone with a "bit" of knowledge may have some status , rather than Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, because from the little I understand from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji , it is praising Almighty God , telling you how to live your life , if they read sir Guru Hranth Sahib Ji , and practice it , they cant go wrong ----- sadly its all politics . If you read and practice what our guru is saying it abolishes caste , low class etc.. altogether but we should be ready to listen to our guru.

I thought it was very good , a starter to make people aware of what happened in 1984 and get more people off there seats to visit Sri Harmandir Sahib and read about the Sikh History , may be more episodes to come which can probably go into a bit more detail , and ask the victims if they think justice has been done , ( if yes, how and if no, how ? )

I agree , the key question that needs answering is WHY People join these cults ? One reason mentioned by the ex-security guard , was that the dera wale provide a shelter for people , provide food , provide training i.e agriculture , professional trades like electrician , construction , education etcc... so the Dera becomes self sufficient , dont need to get outside help , then these people are exploited and have no way to get out and if they do they are threatened / beaten up or even killed. Plus the reason so many young go to the Dera wales , because their parents are part of the Dera Wale Klan , and automatically out of respect the children go there also and the rest is history . I agree action is a must , but how can we act ? One suggestion was , that the Sikh community outside of India collect enough funding so that schools/shelters can be opened which teaches Gurbani , provides food , provides training which can lead to potential jobs . Again how can this be achieved , the challenge is not small , so many questions arise , the main one being , who do you trust in India ? Should we support the likes of Baba Ranjit Singh Ji Dhandriawale , Balwinder Singh Rangeela , Harjinder Singh sri nagar wale , since all are already providing help to the sangat in terms of Gurbani vichaar , schools for the young , helping poor families to marry off their children ? etc.. Should we ask them if they will be willing to organise , the above in villages across Punjab , where the funding will be provided form external resources ? And/Or How can pressure be put on SGPC to provide , schools, training , jobs etcc. in Punjab ? I know they are a waste of space , but there must be someone ( in the past I emailed them rgearding have literature , tour guides at Sri Harmandir Sahib as I spoke to alot of English who went there last March , and they were asking alot of questions and wanted to know about the history ( so did I) , and made these suggestions, to this date I have still not had a reply from SGPC , even at Anandpur Sahib , they only had one guide yes one who was on holiday the day we went ( surprise , surprise) We have the Sikh Channel as a new medium , I think we should use it more to our favour to highlight , issues and main goal to get the Quom woken up and act on these issues . I agree we cant force people , but if the cult is raping innocent girls , doing beadbi of our Gurus , murdering/ threating people , then surely force has to be used .
