  1. The Hashshashins were Shia Muslims. They were mainly used to assassinate Sunni leaders who would persecute Shia communities in the Middle east, they were fearless, ruthless and very good at what they did. The Mongols completely destroyed the Hashshashin brotherhood and probably did the world a great favour.
  2. I've always thought the Turks as being a progressive people amongst the Muslims. It seems the Turks have not integrated well into German society and are much like the Pakistanis at least in this regard. Iranians and Lebs in the west it seems are the most progressive amongst the Muslim communities settled in the west. They integrate and even greatly contribute to their new nation instead of being a bloodsucking burden to the country's welfare system.
  3. The last part by Tony Jee was a good point. The direct consequence of Sikhs joining the British army in large numbers is that Sikhs became very battle hardened and even though they were such a small minority in united Punjab(only about 15%), yet they managed to clear all of east Punjab of the Muslims, Otherwise it is very likely that Sikhs would have ended up like the Kashmiri Pandits. Although I must say that killing of Muslims in 1947 was very unfortunate (I really wish it didn't happen) but seeing as how our own people were kicked out in 1947 by Pakistani first, it almost became necessary to do likewise so the Sikh refugees could settle down in east Punjab.
  4. Between racist Goray and extremist Muslay, Sikhs should not be choosing any side. If both get a chance BOTH will show their true snake mentality and sting the Sikhs with their poisonous hatred. Yes, we know extremist Musley are not good, but knowing that does not mean these racist Goray are all of a sudden good. Just take a look at what apnay have to do through in Australia when racist Goray have their way, they are just as evil as extremist Pakistani muslay. Choosing the side of racist Goray because of our hatred for extremist Muslay is just as naive as how many of our own become pro Hindu because they are anti-Muslay, or how many of apnay became pro-Muslay all of a sudden after 1984. We need to stop choosing sides and just stay neutral and watch the show when these opposing sides are fighting each other.
  5. Excellent site. Sikhs are discovering unknown chapters of our Guru's history. Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Jee!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The Muslim guy should know better than to mess around with a Sikh girl. I hope he gets caught by the girl's family.
  7. Amazing picture. Can someone please share some information about giani Gian Singh almast.
  8. Interesting. I notice him do that where he uses his body to express his singing.
  9. What a guy the author is. He purposefully used a Sikh name. He could have easily concealed the identity of the girl by using a Muslim name too, but using a Sikh name was just unethical on his part.
  10. I bet you that Kim Bolan or the likes of that Baandar faced Ron Banerjee will some how link this shooting to the Sikh religion even though this shooting had nothing to do with the Gurudwara politics. It was a personal feud.
  11. Where in Chandi Di Vaar or anywhere in Sri Dasam Granth does it say that the fight is between Aryans or Dravidians? The fight in Chandi Di Vaar happens in Swarg Lok where the Rakshas army take over Svarg from Inder. The Devtas return with Durga destroying the Rakshas army. Why do we equate the Devtas as being so called Aryans? or Rakshas as being so called Dravidians? This is orientalist theory. For too long the orientalists have distorted the history of eastern countries. Even the great Persian civilization has not been spared. If you ask an Iranian, even he thinks that his ancestor was a blond haired, blue eyed Germanic. Maybe early on way before pre historical times, there might have been a migration, but certainly not 1500 BC as orientalists claim. The Mahabharat war for example is said to have happened around 3000 BC, but according to Orientalists it happened not too long ago (around 2000 years ago).
  12. Tony Jee, as usual has written a very good post. Agree with him on this 100%
  13. The Aryan Invasion Theory is also a British orientalist version of Indian history. The early orientalists portrayed the Devta-Rakshas conflict told in Indic scriptures as an actual conflict between so called white Aryans and dark Dravidians in ancient times. There is enough literature on the internet to disprove the Aryan Invasion Theory. Since the invasion theory has been proven wrong for lack of evidence of an invasion and destruction by Aryans, many people who still want to beat a dead horse have now revised this theory into the "Aryan migration theory", but even that theory is very weak.
  14. Thanks for this Jattboot. He had a very interesting life. Although British influenced orientalist historians for some reason describe him as a homosexual.
  15. If that were to happen, so many Sikhs would move to Kashmir that Kashmir problem would be finished within a year! The former congressi CM of Punjab Kairon was trying his level best in pressuring Nehru to merge the state of J&K with the state of Punjab because he said this would make J&K safe from Pakistani attack because then protecting the state of J&K would become an obligation of the Sikhs of Punjab. Back in CM Kairon's period Haryana and Himachal were not separate, they were still a part of Punjab.
  16. Personally I don't like the beautification of Anandpur Sahib that the Israeli architect did. The architecture seems so foreign. You would think that with such a rich architectural heritage of the Sikhs and of North India something called the Khalsa heritage museum would reflect that, instead the Israeli architect builds a structure that resembles a nuclear power plant. I don't want this guy to do anymore work in Punjab.
  17. That is another angle India will have to face. Sooner or later the Americans are going to leave leaving a weak government in place just as the Soviets did. Ultimately the Jihadis/Taliban will take over. When that happens, many Jihadis in the region will want to then take on the other great Kafir power in the region, which is obviously be India. If the Americans are having a hard time fighting the Taliban, just imagine how the Hindu army will face the ferocious Pathan hordes who will unleash a Jihadi war in Kashmir. If the Hindus are having a hard time fighting the Kashmiris what chance will they have in containing the Pathans? I feel sorry for India for the next 20 years. I hope Sikhs do not act like Hanuman this time and look after Hindu interests first instead of Sikh interests. Hopefully circumstances will raise a capable Sikh leader of the level of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawala to lead the Sikhs and prevent us from making past mistakes.
  18. The Kashmiri people clearly do not want to live with the Indian union. They do not call themselves Indian. As history of India has shown, the Muslims ultimately do win when they face Hindus(with the exception of the Marathas). Sooner or later, Kashmir will be a part of Pakistan. If Hindu government is smart they will immediately separate Kashmir Valley from the non-Muslim areas of J&k (Jammu and Ladakh) and just give it to Pakistan, otherwise they will see Jammu and Ladakh also being conquered along with Kashmir Valley. Kashmir Valley where most of the problem is and which is the hub of the Muslim population in the state is less then 20% of land mass of the state. So giving up that small land mass to Pakistan will only be like a drop of water for the Indian Union, but Kashmir itself is an ocean of problems for India. Even the Hindus of Jammu and Buddhists of Ladhak want separation from the Muslim dominated Kashmir Valley. In fact if you look at history, before the Sikhs took this area under their Raaj (good old days), Kashmir, Jammu and Ladhak were never one state. As for us the Sikhs, we can only sit back and wait for the right time to get back our raaj. The centralized Indian Union much like the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia is an artificial state forcing many ethnic groups to live as a single nation state. But with violence in Kashmir increasing, Naxalites getting bolder and stronger, what will happen in India in the next 20 years will be a drama to watch. Besides this, many other ethnic groups are now getting independent minded and militant in their approach such as the Marathas under Raj Thakre. Tamils are also another independent minded group, who have a large population and do not like north Indians.
  19. During the late 80s, lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits were forced to leave Kashmir by Islamic militants (mostly Paki-Punjabi origin). Most of them settled in Jammu, Delhi and other parts of North India. A lot of them still live as refugees. Sikhs have remained untouched.
  20. With so many Indian people in UK, it is really sad to see no one organization or group of people helping these fellow Indians. Instead these poor people are being exploited as cheap labour. I remember a couple of months ago how everyone here (that are from the UK) saying things like how these new immigrants are smelly, they have a pervy look in their eyes, they should all just go back. For a moment I thought I was on stormfront.org instead of a Sikh forum full of people of Indian origin. People need to look at themselves in the mirror and remember who they are before they start to act like Goray. Living in the UK doesn't make you an Angrej.
  21. Exactly. The letters are not signed. The hard-line leaders are not supporting the letters. This seems like a GOI plan. I wouldn't be surprised if the Indian army again repeats the chatisinghpura massacre and blames it on the separatists.
  22. In North India, Chandigarh girls are famous for smoking, taking drugs, having pre marital sex(loose moral character). Almost anyone who has studied in Chandigarh has a story to tell about the Chandigarh girls.
  23. I don't know if things are going to happen the way dooms-day'ers claim. Safe thing is to always have some money invested in real wealth like gold. So if the economy were to ever collapse in the future you can always take comfort that you will not worry about being completely broke. Another thing is keep your feet in two boats. A lot of Indian people who live in the west also have property in India. That property should always be kept in case things do not go well here in the west, investing in land in or close to the city (in India) is also a good investment idea.
  24. Actually Ala Singh was probably the most diplomatic and opportunist Sikh leader in history. During his time he had friendly relations with the Sikhs, Mughals, Afghans(who made him Raja) and even the Marathas. Although he would say to Ahmad Shah Abdali that he is a friend of the Afghan invader, but behind his back he would often times do his own things like secretly sending food to the starved Maratha forces right before the 3rd battle of Panipat. After the 3rd battle of Panipat the Maratha army was destroyed and surviving Maratha soldiers scattered for shelter since the Afghan soldiers were dispatched all over to hunt down any Maratha they can get their hands on. So, many Maratha hid in territories held by Ala Singh. Over all, Patiala state rulers were opportunists. Their agenda was generally to expand the Patiala state and to look after it's well being rather than Sikh Panth.
