Because THAT is our Nitnem. Tankhahnama amongst some other Puratan sources also agrees on the fact that we should read Japuji in morning, Rehraas in evening and Sohila before sleeping. Dating is done easily. Inder Singh (lakhwinder singh of usa aka singh2 on this site) and Lamba have claimed that there is a 1698 Dasam Granth Bir, its Tatkara pic is on Patshahi10.org. It is fake, how do we know? I got pic of same bir where Zafarnama is written in same ink and handwriting, which shows that the Bir couldn't have been compiled anytime before 1706. This is dating and puts the fake date of samvat 1755 in Tatkara wrong and shows bir as fake. Then there is this Bhai Mani Singh bir. Nobody knows where it was before 1818. So important bir, and yet we don't know in whose posession it was before 1818, strange? It is Banno version of SGGS, showing scribe can't be Mani Singh. Biggest mistake in it is that a Dohra of Kavi Alam is attributed to Guru Gobind Singh. This is how we can do 'parkh' of asli and naqli my brother.

It has to do with topic. Bhai Fauja Singh didn't believe in Ragmala and believed KESKI to be Kakkar not KES, you don't agree with him still you respect him because he is a Shaheed. It is a Big Issue of Sikhi. It has become like the Sunni and Shia divide of Islam. All traditional groups like DDT, AKJ, Nihangs, etc, who have difference in beliefs with each other, but believe in Dasam Granth have come togheter on one side. Missionaries, normal Sikhs are on other side. They too have differences in believes. Some of them believe Guru Sahibaan to be normal human beings (by which most Sikhs of this category disagree). Inder Singh Ghagga says 5th Guru fell unconcious on Tati Tavi, which I don't agree with. And many other issues. But there is this MAIN divide, Pro DG and Anti DG... And it is in no way good for the panth. Before I wasn't really speaking against DG but I had my doubts. Just because of that my pro DG people began pushing me n stuff. What is Ibritnama about? Bhai Baaj Singh was a very strong and brave Sikh. His bravery and fighting skills were famous far and wide. So much was his name that even the king of India had heard about him. He defeated the most strong and skilled Pathaans and Moslems in one-on-one fights in the battlefields. When Bhai Baaj Singh was caught and brought to Delhi, he remained in high spirits and could be heard singing Gurbani loudly and saying Vaheguru Vaheguru all the time. The following conversation and incident has recorded in the writings of Moslem and English writers who eye-witnessed the incident that took place. The king of Delhi at that time was Farukhsiyaar and as he had heard about Baaj Singh he asked a group of Sikhs brought before him to be killed, "Which one of you is Baaj Singh", asked the king. "I am Baaj Singh the humblest servant of my Guru", replied Baaj Singh in high spirits. "I heard you are very brave and strong. What can you do now ?" "Why don't you open my hands and feet and I will tell you what I can do", challenged Bhai Baaj Singh. The emperor thought that what can a hunger-stricken person do amidst so many of his strong soldiers. So he ordered that his chains be opened. As soon as the soldier opened his chains in feet, Baaj Singh like lightening grabbed a sword from a soldier nearby and killed 7 soldiers by the time he was caught and overpowered. This happened so fast that no one got time to think. The king ran for cover saying "Tauba Tauba, khudaaya Khudaaya". When he was caught, the king ordered him to be executed immediately. We have to think that what power was it that prompted Baaj Singh to act like this. That was the power of Naam and bhagti that he had done. Otherwise a normal person becomes half dead if he or she does not eat for one day only. But Dhan Bhai Baaj Singh who had not eaten properly for the last 9 months and still managed to put up such a show. My head bows before Bhai Baaj Singh who lived a warrior and died a warrior.
