  1. the first one is in a normal amrit keertan as well.. page 835, i believe, at the end of aarti.. usually each shabad has a reference.. so you could probbalby check there.. donno bout the saecond one
  2. but that's the thing see.. that's exactly what i'm saying.. there's absolutely no wish for people to say "you know what.. that method of practising sikhi is right, yet so is mine, but they're different". not meant to be slanderous, so don't take it that way: you are a prime example... through years of education and knowledge, there is one thing that still keeps you blind to people who practise sikhi in a way that you don't.... faith... even though they don't practise sikhi the way you do, they still have faith. they still respect all attributes of God, still have faith in God, and still believe in Hukam and everything... at the same time, "they" (being those who don't pracitse sikhi as you do) feel the same way about you, meaning, they also let their education and knowledge get the better of them and don't look at any good.... it's chicken and egg.. what came first, your refusal of their ways, or their refusal of your ways? point being, they believe in their method of practising sikhi, but very few of them allow their minds to accept your method of sikhi, and the same thing happens with people who believe in their own method and what not... i know that last paragraph was kinda jumbled, but i think it made sense..
  3. umm...the sun might ruin the paint.. may hafta get it repaineted more often than you'd originally like hahaha.. other than that, jus live!
  4. so then it's very possible that Akal is severely distorted, yet still properly represented in the wide varieties that he is worshipped.... whether it be inter or intra religions.. e.g, this ongoing battle between pro-niddar anti-niddar.... personally, i don't think what he's doing is right, but hell, i'm not knowledgable to know the difference.. at the same time, those who are pro-niddar sometimes portray the feeling that whatever anyone else does is wrong... yet... both could be right..
  5. ^^ beautiful! i agree with that. especially the last line... however, at the same time, we as "non-manmukhs", if we have the right to call ourselves that, shouldn't look as manmukhs as bad, either.. e.g if you can't see god in all, you can't see god at all i know i don't follow my following theory fully, myself.. but it is something i wanna practise on, that's for sure: manmukhs, as per the above statement, are simply not bestopwed the fortunate karma that would allow them, or guide them to follow religion.. any religion... in order to follow a path to meet God.. Akaal.. Allah.. Rab... whatever you wish to call Him... see, i don't know enough about islam to finalize my following comment, but this is why reincarnation to me does make sense: the souls in afirca who suffer so much... they only suffer from their karma, in my opinion.. it is their past lives that have resulted them to live in the conditions they live in now... to me, the concept of nirvair would also mean that God would not willingly put any of his creations into that situation and that condition... whereas karma, it is in a sense "beyond God's control" (kinda) as to what happens to you in your next lives... sorry, i know i swayedf rom the topic.
  6. jammy... the "hope you learnt your lesson" was for mehtab..not for you... secondly... freedom of speech does not mean freedom to insult, condescend and judge... i don't see how you equate the two. "stupid", for example, is not exactly the greatest way to debate.... i dunno if you were "Testing" us, by insulting mehtab veerji to see if we would "react like a christian"... but the point is what you said wasn't put across properly either... secondly, "mehtab wanted to pass that off as fact", regarding his love at first sight at the picture of guruji. that IS fact... it happened to him, he didn't talk about anyone else.. he said "I experienced love at first sight when i saw this picture".... that is fact, because he insists that this was his experience.. and thus for him, it IS fact... denouncing anothers experiences isn't debating, that's insulting! as sikhiphilosphy said, you raise valid points, but they're marred by your insults.... what's the use then... in the same way, you are the Sikh you describe me to be... at the very face of criticism or a different thought process, it becomes "stupid". and again, the question is this: who says mehtba didn't fall in love with a beauty that transcends the physical realm? what if, in the picture, he didn't just see a beautiful person, but a beautiful message? then what... is he SEEING things, then? are you gonna call him CRAZY? maybe PSYCHO? anywhoo.. i've said my piece..... assuming you're still in mass disagreement with whatever it is we're arguing about.... agree to disagree.. no use having arguement in a life already filled with hate.

    ^^^^ what?!?! not "chili sauce"???
  8. i see you have quickly stooped to a new level in order to make your points with insults.. was this a free throw-in as part of the above service, or will we be receving a bill? who are you to evaluate on how one feels truly inspired? is there a WRONG way to be inspired? is there a WRONG way to establish love and peace of mind? shall we all do it the way you do it? is that the only right way? if not, who the BLOODY HELL are you to tell mehtab veerji that the feeling he felt at the sight of Guruji's picture was "stupid" or "wrong" according to Jamuka: Mehtab, your whole faith in your religion is stupid... actually, it was "plain stupid",,... not one of those jelly filled (or bull$#!T filled, as we've seen with jamuka, here) comparing the love you felt for Guruji at the sight of his p icture was ALSO "plain stupid" (again.. not bull@#!t filled, see above).. i uhh... hope you learnt your lesson

speaking of taste.... who likes samosay?
  10. goal guppa? perhaps a soccerball guppa? maybe an offside guppa? look, the point is that the mystical evolution of mankind has allowed us to fortify any relationship we may have and hold with all members of the general community. This foundation of relationship upholds the most common, yet more spectacular views of mankind in a similar situation as the above immature adult has specified. The correlation between the two variables has exceeded the expected results and thus, Boredom is to Insanity, as Sukhi is to: wierdness stupidity loserness smelly nasty wierd...again combustive explosive psychoticness teller of tall tales and wierd quotes stupidity... again.. and nerdiness thus, the correlation remains a truthful indication of hte insanity that sukhi_v suffers from. This report has been compiled over a number of years. Eye witness accounts, time spent with the subject, and conversation with associates of the subject have all been taken into consideration in order to provide an accurate, understandable and practical conclusion. God help us all avoid the wrath of sukhi_v.
  11. sukhi's a crackpot... stop listening to her! that's what i do, and it works miracles
  12. "Hum Rultey Firtey, Koi baat na Poochtaa,m gur satgur sang keeray hum thaapay" I was rolling around in the dirt, and no one cared for me at all. In the Company of the Guru, the True Guru, I, the worm, have been raised up and exalted. The shabad is on page 167 in Raag Gauree of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. it can be found at the following website: http://www.sikhitothemax.com/page.asp?ShabadID=499

  14. sorry guv, no one answered your question Two mahapurkhs have been blessed upon "dodra" sangat... again, i put it in quotes, cuz it is not a name that is propogated by the sangat.. it's just the name of the village in which the sangat really got started with a global influence. The first was Bhai Jaswant Singh Ji... his short name was Bauji as that was what he was called in the army, during his stay in Burma... point being, he has written a TON of literature... he would repeat to sangat that he was nothing and Guru Nanak was the shizznazzle, (thought i'd incorporate some western slang for all the 13 year old ebonified readers), and this was best exemplified when he stopped coming to samagams in Dodra. this may not sound very "santly", but the reason was that people stopped believing him, that he was nothing.. and when he would come in to matha tekh, some people felt that he was IT, and they used to grab his feet while he was on the "runway", or they used to stand up when he entered the hall.. he hated that.. like, he HATED it.. and he stopped coming and wouldn't give his talks at samagams anymore... i have all his talks on my computer, if anyone is interested.. they can pm me.. mataji started doing seva for bauji roughly 30 years ago. she stayed in the same house, and used to do things like make his bed, serve him langar, accompany him on his walks, do paath with him, get him clothes if he needed any.... well.. when Bauji passed away, he told the sangat that even though he is gone, sadngat must continue, and that Mataji is, without a doubt, a mahapurkh who's teachings can be followed if you so desire. Mataji was MADDD love man... i dunno how to put it... i met bauji when i was three years old, so i truthfully do not remember much about him.. but mataji, i met in december of 2002, when i went to india.. i met her twice, once at her kothi in ludhiana, and once at the samgam when she came to have darshan of the sangat (which is what she always used to say. thank you for coming from nations and nations abroad, i love having your darshan). She was basically a big ball of love.. she loved those who did alotta seva.. loved those who did keertan.. loved those who loved her, and loved those who hated her. loved those who had sangat in their minds, be it as a forefront or at the back of their minds. to her.. as long as you had sangat (not any particular sangat, let me clarify... she just meant the "institution" of sangat) in your heart and mind, you were basically set. Dodra Sangat was given a saropa in the previous years from Shri Akal Takht SAhib... why? well... it just so happens, that 40 years ago... the pind of Dodra was a pind of crime... alotta crime, hate, rape, you name it it happened.. over the 40 years, amrit sanchaars have been held every single samagam.. 3 times per year, as many as three times per samagam, because the influence of sangat made so many people want to take amrit.. "Dodra" Sangat was given a saropa for the CONTRIBUTION that we had given to the PANTH! according to "Statistics", i guess we could call it, BRahm Bunga Sahib in Dodra had given birth to more amritdharis than any other gurdwara/jatha/sampardya in the world. I do sangat with these people every day... i don't mean for this to be slander, so if it does come across as that, iplease accept my apologies. AKJ states on their website that they are nothing but a group of gursikhs who just do keertan... in comparison, i would like to say that i do sangat with a whole variety of people.. some are pro raag mala, some are anti... some are keski wearing, some are not.. some are pro-khalistan, some are indifferent, some are anti-khalistan.. there's no adopted policy for the people who do sangat.. you dont' need to have certain views in order to be accepted. i truly believe that the people i do sangat with, literally come to sangat for the keertan. it really is a bunch of sikhs who just want to do keertan and get on the path of Sikhi with no strings attached. so guv, i hope i answered your question hahaha
  15. because, our beautiful theory of sikhi is "i'm right, you're wrong, so screw you you stupid little punk. my way's right, your way's wrong" thus, both feel they're right! (how was that for educated refutal )
  16. this is the thing........ hell yeah, if i saw guruji, i'd have mad love man... but even that comes with knowledge of guruji..... reading guruji's baanis and stuff... if i saw guruji, hell yeah it'd be love at first site... the concept just doesn't make sense....love......at first sight.....man, i'm sorry to stoop to this level, cuz i hate bollywood..... but CJ will know what i'm talking about... you used bollywood to exemplify your points so i will too. Dil Chahta Hai... that one guy.. any girl he sees: "I LOVE HER!"...... love at first sight?? i think not..... how can you love.... without any previous encounter....experience.... knowledge of the person you're "in love" with at first sight..
  17. why don't YOU consider it a universal law
  18. gurfateh!! good for you singh ji.. make sure to post some pics! we'd love to see your progress.
  19. and of course... clearly they're guilty of bombing planes...why?? cuz SHAKA SEZ SO! (p.s...theyt have yet to be found guilty... damn, eh?)
  20. if only those damned fanatics on sikhsangat knew how to have fun eh??? i wonder how they answered this question
  21. i'm very suspicious that it's sukhi_v emailing you :S
