  1. Not quite, It's a little more than that! Good points. The meaning of Kaman(wife) in contrast to soul bride from the "sa dhan pakhri jek jana" pangti, is quite fundamental to my understanding. don't be fooled into assuming that senses and pleasures is just referring to consuming paaps. That has a very deep and complicated answer from what I imagine. "Complicated" ...as in trying to understand it. It can vary slightly but I believe there are two instances when you can see the 5 dhoots walk/run away from you. It's at the point when you are free, that It becomes clear, that the 5 were clinging on to you all along. When I get a chance later, I will work through line by line with my understanding of this shabad and try explain at places. I hope you find it helpful.
  2. Well done! You've accomplished a few things here. You may noticed that your body was dong simran whilst your mind was just enjoying doses of anand. These are just the beginnings of the true anand that is yet to come. I'm still trying to swallow whatever comes along my path. You've smashed through some barriers now and shed some layers of ego and dirt. In terms of spiritual energies. you will also have had some newer energy nadis blasting open and doing jap. Huge amounts of energy are coming down to you and it is important that you utilise and gear these towards the right direction. Practicing brahmacharya (conserving semen), is highly recommended. I'm pretty certain that because your anand has been rising, then the kaam influences wouldn't have found any routes into your mind either, because your mind will have risen over the 5 dhoots. Believe me, it's no lack of sleep and I know it leaves you wondering "why am I not tired?" You may have many days and weeks when all you will have is 2-3 hours sleep a night, Yet, you will feel completely energised! To be honest, I never understand it at first and got worried thinking It were some kind of insomnia. You may have noticed something different when you looked in the mirror during those few days? Indescribable....Yes. Can you really explain it?......No. However, you may be able to confirm to yourself that in such state of mind, you are above both pain and joy. Whilst you will also get a sense of "feeling" hukam, rather than just knowing it as a term that is used. A few different techniques can be tried and some are extremely tough to grasp. You can pm me if you are having some difficulties, as I may be able to help on one's that I've worked on and practiced myself. But yes,.. I think you should definitely have a crack at some deeper meditative jugtees where you can sit in absolute silence.
  3. I have never sat down with any pre-determined intentions. I just let it be... I try not to research or look to what other people experience, because this can easily become a road-block. I have only researched and looked for correct techniques and jugtees to get to next stage. Only after some experience, I look for a form of guidance to help confirm and clarify my approach. I never do any ardas for material gains, I only ever ask for forgiveness and strength. With time I have learned to differentiate between my own Mind and Atma. We are Mind, Body and Soul. However, we let Mind be the master of Soul and run the whole show. Idea is to tap into your atma by 'stilling' the mind, and then letting the Atma be the master of mind instead. This is when you are in pure Gurmat and pure HUKAM. For eg, I know a few seekers who spend more than 2 hours a day doing simran and have done it for a few years. They complain and get frustrated that nothing has happened and they feel that nothing has been gained with all efforts and hours.. I realise that it's the attitude and intention, which is the root of their own problem. They are letting Mind be the master instead of trying to control it.......they have intentions that are conditional......their Inner conditions ask God for spiritual rewards in return for their efforts........ their Mnd's calculations are the hindrance.... this is Man-mat. "Surrender". "sacrifice",, "balihaarey" ..is what they should do with the mind ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਵਸਿਆ Balihārī kuḏraṯ vasiia (I am a sacrifice to the pervading almighty) Handng over your mat to the lord is no easy thing, The significance of amrit sancher is based on this surrender. But you've got to keep trying and dhyia-ing the gurmantar until you start drowning in it's love.
  4. unexplainable,, and you won't find anything if you go looking for it. All degrees of attainment occur with pure sacrifice and zero intention of looking for something.. So, you really don't wanna pre-program any conditions subconsciously.
  5. I haven't seen the movie but I shall try and make some time soon. I have spoken to a few guys who have extensive knowledge on the subject but I don't really want to say too much on an open forum. I have my own understandings and have also put two and two together for many topics that fall in line with spiritual ascension in sikhi along with experiences. Definitely. It can go completely the other way and take you towards the pits of lower hells if your consciousness levels has been declining constantly from the moment your umbilical cord was cut. Only naam dhan can raise you and that is all that matters at the moment of death. DMT (as God intended), has to be earned endogenously through naam kamaayee.. This is the only guarantee that you shall have confirmations of mukhti.
  6. No you haven't offended, because I now know that these people who try take it with "cheat' intentions mostly end up experiencing lower and middle world realms. Only a few have ever got to any higher realms and that's only with deep meditative practice in conjunction. Over 50% have had negative and threatening experiences with jamdoots etc.
  7. DMT is apparently present in naam amrit.. It is produced internally and is the "soma" that drips from pineal gland. I've learned quite a lot about it from my own endogenous experiences and have been in discussions with some people that are both spiritual and know more about some it's deeper actions. Needless to say, I do have my own explanations and theories that have only been affirmed over time. This area of study has been extremely interesting and I have been amazed at how much truth it really holds.
  8. OK Lads, here's something to ponder over....... Sant is not Brahmgyani.. There is a difference. I've spent some time absorbing the gurbani and meditating, and seem to notice the distinctions. If someone wants to bring quotes and shabads that may seem otherwise, then we can surely discuss in separate threads. With reference to this particular thread about "Women as Guru" , I would probably say that some of us moorakhs could easily label a 'sant' as a woman sant or a man sant. However, if the moorakh happens to know a brahmgyani and has actually swallowed some of the gyan that emanates from brahmgyani, then they would be unlikely to refer to brahmgyani in any form of dualism. i.e.. man/woman, black/white, christian/muslim Brahmgyani= Has the knowledge of all divine and human things. Lets say that brahmgyani knows both the NATURE and WISDOM of God. Sant= Is a servant...a Sikh...one who speaks from experience,...also on journey back home.....on journey to full brahmgyan.,..but still in maya and dualism like us. As for the "Guru as women" op of this thread. All i can say is that if I see a guru and then subconsciously or consciously, group them into man -woman category, then I've already failed to witness a true guru. Why?.... because, I've foolishly bought dualism into the forefront. Being a male or a female is just the vehicle of the mind and soul on this human realm. Are we following the soul or the vehicle? .....Do we judge the mind & soul as guru or the vehicle?... If the vehicle was guru, then it would have made sense to mummify all the gurus body's back then. Problem is that we are always making judgments and looking via our physical eyes. We need to learn to use the eyes of the consciousness
  9. I thought there were some differences between sant and brahmgyani? Will try checking with gurbani when I get a chance.
  10. Repeating silently is the goal after repeating with tongue...........It's all about stilling the mind and trying to control it's wandering. You have to play around and do verbal (saas graas),.. whispering(saas saas)...with breath and then try doing without following breath... "techniques" is all they are and all groups of mystics from various faiths have a similar approach. "Listening" to self is an important element that helps a Sikh to start going within.. This is "listening" to the sound of jap/chant, and then listening to it silently whilst following breath. You have to really tell us what kind of technique you are trying and what difficulties you may have. Meditation and inner spiritual awareness is a huge learning process. This is "sikhi",(Sikh means 'to learn') It is an ongoing process of physical, spiritual and psyche transformations to help guide us to the special commodity which can fill the unknown empty holes within us all... It's as if we(our consciousness) is incomplete in some way and is searching for it's completeness. ...the completeness is the yog(union of joining-as in 'yoga') with and into the supreme consciousness. From some comments you posted on the other thread; You come across as the suitable candidate for advancing in avastha(spiritual state), since your intentions seem genuinely indubitable and truthful. Welcome aboard to the forum. Hope you enjoy being part in a group of seekers here whose aim is to motivate and encourage others whilst getting inspired themselves.
  11. Cracking dude! He's put some of the underlying and hidden truths that are within us, into words. I can see his frustration at how dumbed down and politically fooled today's society is. Many parallels to my own understanding of sikhi. I've been going deeper into Gur Tegh Bahadur jee's bani recently. I recalled his shabads something like-> "like a dog's tail that can't be straightened, the mind wont listen, no matter what I try". The deeper truth in this pangti is similar to Peterson's mention of "we are meant to suffer".when he talks finding the middle balance line between order and chaos.
  12. It's a real feeling that you actually feel the warmth and protection of Waheguru. Almost as if you are sat in his lap like a child and you have the view of just seeing mankind as creation regardless of age, color, creed and religion. I know it's indescribable, but I remember that it redefined words like Hukam and fearless for me. I actually began to really understand a small fraction of the Gurus steps when they walked in hukam to shaheedis. Have a look at this fantastic painting by our own @BhagatSingh. Look carefully at an enlarged version and just try and absorb it calmly whilst at the same time sinking into it. . You may sense some strong components of joy, love and protection. A feel of being untouchable, almost as if saying "bring it on". I have to compliment Bhagat once again for the Lord's kirpa and blessings which has enabled him to paint such precious art. Totally see what you are saying here. It's almost as if it's just you(the witness) and a single God in and around everything. I think this is one of the keys when it comes to merging with Waheguru to the max. You start to feel that the line we created separating God and maya begins to disappear. It seems that the duality starts to dissolve and instead of assuming that you had to separate from maya, you begin to learn that there was no maya and it is all HIM.
  13. Go for it kid!! You are experiencing some of the very many changes that occur in your normal day. You will hopefully get to realise that "anand" has a very different meaning to what most people assume. The only reason I can say is, Waheguru is showering you with the many blessings. Just last night I was talking to my wife about how I want to go back and experience that avastha experience and mind-set again! It lasted for months and starts with shorter periods of few days first few times. My advice is too stay quiet whilst watching and observing all around you. You should begin to find many answers of truth coming your way and and also many signals and hints for any decisions you may need to make. Before you can see the brahm jyot in everyone and everything, Gobind makes you aware that he is working in every single living thing and object around you! bhee paraapath maanukh dhaehureea Gobind milan kee eih thaeree bareeaa
  14. did MRI find anything? and what part of back is it and what did physio say?
  15. It's not quite appropriate for back pain because you have to hold it still at the target site. Like holding pen which is going to be quite awkward. With back pain, the target site is muscular and larger, therefore something with wider electrode pads is more effective. I would recommend a combination of muscle stimulator and tens machine such as "Twin-Stim" this is TENS and EMS. Also very effective is IF machines (interferentials) .. There is now a Twin-Stim Plus that does all 3 EMS,TENS and IF.
  16. That sounds good. Keep going. It seems your getting very close to full rom rom jap. This will be felt in auto mode all over and everywhere in your body. It may be a good idea to occasionally practice with dhyian on navel as well as dhun, rising upwards to heart. Becomes easier when it automatically synchronises. Once you maximize the energy flow here, then sukhmana channel begins to open up. NOTE- if your sensation settles on the physical heart towards the left of your chest, then try and bring it central. This is where the spiritual hirda is in terms of chakra.
  17. GS Grewal has got his facts wrong. Anand sahib is ramkali and somewhere around ang 900's. I don't want to discuss grewal but if you quote the entire shabd for discussion and historical reference then we can discuss.. Guru Arjan dev ji's shabad is about birth of child and the future seating of dharam in the house of Nanak ji.. The estabilishment of dharma and truth. However, I disagree with scholars that imply that Anand sahib was created by Guru Amardas ji for his grandson's birth who was named "Anand". I believe that Guru ji may well have sung that bani at the time but it was created with a very deep spiritual meaning and the "anand" he refers to is only understood when you experience it. It is not the anand of worldly joy, pleasures and celebrations.
  18. Please refer which shabad exactly because you mentioned anand sahib but the shabad above is different. Good idea to show complete shabad so we know the one we are referring to and I will try give some input.
  19. Very difficult to say because it's not a linear stream of uniform events because we are all different and here to learn our own lessons with our own learning curves. There are many sounds that come and go before anhad gets pargat. These sounds all vary for each one of us and I'm sure they are related to the frequencies of nadi channels, chakras etc.. The idea is that you have to keep passing them and continuing with your jaap. The anhad shabad is itself indescribable and it won't manifest if you search for it or have your "matt' questioning for it. The key is to lay, sacrifice, baliharey your mann and matt to Guru and then guru's matt takes over(Gurmat). Even if someone replies yes or no, to your question of high pitched sounds, it will still not be of much benefit or any concrete reassurance.
  20. Excellent bro! After revisiting the botched translations thread with the particular "aaj Naamey bithaal dekhiya" shabad mentioned above, and with further pondering and meditation, I can say "accomplished". I was probably about 95% with you back then, but It's a firm 100 now! I was so grateful that my mind's been playing the below version all day
  21. All existence is constantly changing, moment to moment. Energy is also in constant continuous motion....... TIME is consuming (eating away) into this existence at a constant rate also. Good stuff, I'm out of popcorn
  22. Very normal for some of us, ...especially the upper back. When I first started to get it, I knew that it was something different, because when it comes to sweating or working out; then I've always tended to sweat from the forehead first. When this started happening, I immediately knew it was unusual but along with many other sensory and skin changes, I soon assumed that it was some kind of nerve or neuro stimulation due to simran.. I've heard that all these kind of skin eruptions and sensations are part of the inner cleansing. Once your mann starts to get cleansed, then the dhanh also starts eliminating toxins and all the other negative crap we have. It is annoying sometimes when you continue to sweat just on the back for about an hour or so! Keep cleansing and keep drinking the amrit, Once these layers of mehlh start disappearing, then we can start wiping bad karams and rewriting our destiny. Good to know that you are "kicking it" with the abyaas... Well done kiddo!...keep it up
  23. @ragmaala I'm not too sure, but I was under the impression that if your dharan is displaced, then this leads to many medical problems like hernias, IBS, gall bladder etc. I didn't think that hernias cause displacement of dharan but dharan displacement can cause hernias.. Dharan is not the physical navel but is situated behind it isn't it? I don't think that conventional medic profession has a term for it ?
  24. LOL. it's good to listen to eardrum. I have been doing that since the age of 5/6 yrs or so. I used to lie down on one side with ear pressed against pillow and then use the beat to help me fall asleep ..... It's good for your concentration, don't get me wrong. When I said "I don't advise".. my intention was to not suggest that you sit down for core simran and put fingers in your ears. You can do that along with other meditative actions during the day. I was speaking for the deeper groundwork sessions which we try and schedule at amrit vela etc. to sit down quietly by oneself and be totally relaxed to go antarghat. .......(It's just that I had this mental image of someone trying to do deep simran, sat down cross-legged, and then struggling to get relaxed whilst trying to maintain fingers in ears! ..lol) But yes, definitely incorporate dhyian into every task during your normal day to help increase that conscious awareness. Walking, sitting, eating, even washing up, brushing your teeth, getting dressed, combing your hair. Sound advice. Must have the right "intentions" is what I'm always saying. If your intention is to truthfully surrender your mann and mattth to Waheguru, then he takes a hundred steps for your every one. But if your intentions are something else, .. then you just spin around roundabouts.. However, the Ego is so deceptive and clever that it will continue to find new ways to feed off your Mann. Mann is like a slave to the ego and we have to train; to still it, grab it and dedicate it to waheguru. We want to be able to Keep "Har" in the mind, and Mind in "Har" at all times... ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਤੂ ਸਦਾ ਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ Ė man meri▫ā ṯū saḏā rahu har nāle. O my mind, remain always with the Lord. ......and so comes the Anand!!!
