Charitro Pakhyan - Sri Dasam Granth Sahib

Pray Truth for all and say Satsriakaal!

Dear all and Singh2 Jee!

I try to express my curiosity again.

Should the translator mix his words and thoughts in the Guru's Vaaks?

Your reffered translators are all wrong if the answer is no.

It may be right that I am not able to understand Punjabi Script. Should I try to learn it further or not?

Quote "The issue was about word akal purakh being in dasam granth or not."

I requested you to find where in the Dasam Granth Jee the word 'Akaal Purakh' occurs. You found it. Thanks again for this.

Please do not make this an issue and come back to the topic.

The issue is why are you referring wrong translations of Dasam Granth Sahib.

It is because of the wrong translations that some feel like rejecting valuable Guru's Hymns which are full of wisdom.

Your original quest was not for knowing correct translations. Your original quest is given below. Are you changing your quest now. if so we ca n concentrate on that.

Dear all and Singh2 Jee!

Thanks for your reply.

You wrote "Dasam granth sahib talks about twenty four avtars."

Guru Arjan Dev Jee is singing.

Koti Bisan keene avtaar. SGGS Ang 1156

Dasam Granth Sahib talks about twenty-four particular Avtaars. Why are they special?

Quote "Guru sahib writes Akal purakh created them and they were mere mortals. So in essence Akal purakh is supreme."

Does the word 'Akal purakh' occur in the Dasam Granth?

Balbir Singh

Above all Keep in mind that this thread is on Charitras 21,22 and 23 of Charitropakhayn.

Dear all and Singh2 Jee!

Wrong translations mislead the reader.

One example is this Vaak from the SWAYYA you have referred.

Raam raheem puraan kuraan anek kahain mati ek na maanio.

the Puranas and the Quran try to know Thee by the names of Ram and Rahim and talk about you through several stories, but I do not accept any of their opinions.

The right translation in my view is this.

Raam Raheem Puraan Quraan many say views accept none.

The reverend Gurus sing often. Experience yourself. Acceptance follows.

-----

Many readers do not understand Gurmukhi. Please provide your English translation and views when you want to discuss with someone about the chapters of Charitro Pakhyan.

However one may try to distort the meaning of the line given in your post the next line does

not leave any chance of misinterpretation. Please read

The Simritis, Shastras and Vedas describe several mysteries of yours, but I do not agree with any of them. O sword-wielder God! This all has been described by Thy Grace, what power can I have to write all this?.863.

Guru sahib is defining his views about avtars and those are completely in line with sikh thought.

Many readers do not understand Gurmukhi. Please provide your English translation and views when you want to discuss with someone about the chapters of Charitro Pakhyan.

The discussion was with Waheguruseeker. He claims to have Studied Dasam granth. He also understands Punjabi.

Verses are also given in Hindi. It should not be any problem for you to understand these languages.

Keep in mind that script of Dasam granth is Punjabi.

This is my understanding of the next Vaaks from Gurdev.

Simriti Saastra Bed all much different say, I know none.

Sri asipaani kripaa tumree kari mai na kahiyo sabh tohi bakhaaniyo.

Through Sri Asipaan by your Grace I did not say. All, you have verbalized.

I know many whose Dharam Granth is The Dasam Granth. I also know some whose Adharam Granth is The Dasam Granth.

Quote "Keep in mind that script of Dasam granth is Punjabi."

Should the readers forget that The Dasam Granth is written in many Languages?

The Sikhawareness Forum's language is English though.

The charitra is on the MB. It is duty of poster who misquoted this charitra to point out

the controversial part. He claims to have studied Dasam granth.

Per your concern, do you know Punjabi/ Hindi or not.

Dear all and Singh2 Jee!

Two blind persons cannot give one another eyes by discussing about light.

They need to go to an eye specialist.

Invite them again. Give them love, respect and enough time to express their views. Perhaps they have become enlightened by rejecting the Dasam Granth.

Is the eye specialist you by any chance?

"Invite them again. Give them love, respect and enough time to express their views."

What views are those, that we are all frothing perverts? Did you read the disgusting PMs 'Vaheguruseeker' has been sending people.

If you are so concerned about your SPN buddies, go back to their forum and teach them some diplomacy and mannerism skills. Then perhaps they will have a tad more success in spreading their manmat.

"Perhaps they have become enlightened by rejecting the Dasam Granth."

PLEASE, kindly expand and clarify how?

Nobody barred them from coming and replying.

Waheguruseeker is busy sending messages on my PM that have nothing but filthy abuses in vulgar

language for me and my family. He sent me three yesterday. He is doing same thing with many others.

He has enough time to send those PMs of hate laced with choicest abuses, certainly he has time

to write his views here.

Such a person is not entitled to be called a human being leave aside a sikh and certainly he undeserves to

be mentor of any forum. He can write on SPN only where a few heretics pat each others back.

Dear Shaheediyan Jee!

Please do not ask me personal questions. I am not an eye doctor.

One may seek the specialist if he feels he is not improving, also in spiritual field.

Please try to answer my questions so that the Satsang may go on.

-----

Quote from Singh2 Jee "THis man is now speaking the same language but in different style. Shame on you for unmasking yourself as a mole of anti sikh forces."

Reverend Gurus never praised reading a book to get enlightened nor they suggested rejecting a book to get enlightenment. Those who follow either way are blinds.

-----

Quote from Amardeep Jee "Balbir Singh belives in dehdhari Gurus so dont waste to much time in him. he tries to create confusion among sikhs by asking questions and then coming up with new questions instead of listening to the answers."

I know Balbir Singh follows his Deh-less Sabad Guru.

-----

Can someone please refer the Guru's Vaak that he has experienced? Satsang may go on.

Dear Singh2 Jee!

I am so grateful for the reference you have given from Guru Amardaas Jee.

BaaNee is the speech, not the printed paper. This can be only experienced when one is blessed with the Gur (Wisdom).

Dear all and Singh2 Jee!

The status of written experiences on paper is something else than the wisdom (Gur) of speech.

Reverend Gurus have written so much praise of Gur BaaNee but never that of printed or written paper. Why?

Please ponder.

Dear Singh2 Jee!

Sri Guru Granth Sahib is transmitting this message constantly. It was confirmed after getting tuned with the right sender.

Thanks to God's Kirpaa, the Radio, time, fate and all that I am not able to express in words that played its role.

There is a big difference between receiving Gur through BaaNee and read the written message about this Truth by the reverend Gurus.

BaNeeai and PaReeai are two different acts.

Please listen. Guru Raam Daas Jee is singing.

Satigur kee baaNee sati saroopu hai gurbaaNee baNeeai.

"Please try to answer my questions so that the Satsang may go on."

One who has Satsang with blind people, himself becomes blind... thus is not a very clever man, unless that is... he is a Dehdari Guru, in which case he can give sight back to the blind!

"Reverend Gurus never praised reading a book to get enlightened nor they suggested rejecting a book to get enlightenment. Those who follow either way are blinds."

Why are you playing off reading and learning form Gurbani against experiencing, understanding and living it?

One is a natural progression from the other. Kindly stop trying to imitate Yoda, you can't pull it off, cos he actually makes sense.

Dear all and Shaheediyan Jee!

You wrote "One who has Satsang with blind people, himself becomes blind . . ."

Is it the contagious decease?

Quote " . . . thus is not a very clever man,"

When blind people become clever?

Quote "unless that is... he is a Dehdari Guru, in which case he can give sight back to the blind!"

Please announce his particulars in case you have come to know one and oblige.

Quote "Why are you playing off reading and learning form Gurbani against experiencing, understanding and living it?"

Only idiots need and read instructions repeatedly. And the preacher's business flourishes.

Eat a mango once and come to know if it is important to read instructions several times. Eat mango and sing its praise.
