I need to keep a track of the contexts I find these words in as I lose them very quickly. lol ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪਖ special aspect I came across it in the following context: 'ਸਿਖੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ' ਅਥਵਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਿਲੀ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਮੂਲ ਮੁਢ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਪਖ ਹਨ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ।। I'd say it means 'distinctive aspects' here myself? What do you think? So ਇਸ ਸਿਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ ਪਖ ਹਨ ਜਿਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਸਿਖੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ would translate along the lines of: These teachings have certain distinctive aspects [or facets], whose knowledge is essential for the understanding of Sikhi. What does this line mean? ਥਲ ਕੌੜੀ ਥਿਆਹ ਨਾਲ ਹਸਿਆ॥ ਤਰਜ਼ - pattern or tune Yes i.e. tune, melody, musical measure, tenor. The writer may have used it wrongly? ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਘਾਇਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਪੁਲੰਦਾ - bunch (e.g. of papers) Yes, also bundle or stack as in bundle of notes. ਗਵਾਹੀ - testimony Yes.
