I know BC is mostly Doabe, and I heard Toronto and Brampton is mainly Malwe? 

Are there differences in the reputation of the Panjabi/Sikhs in BC compared with your area?

In general, IMHO, Sikhs have a bad reputation in Canada. Sikhism is seen as a favorable religion by only less than 40% of the Canadians. The reputation of Sikhism is probably only slightly better than that of Islam.

Native Canadians were victims of a Genocide in our country, but it probably seems that somehow Sikhs have become the worst Extremists in Canadian history.

Even if the other plane (which blew in Japan and only killed a baggage handler) had blown mid-air, even then these two bombings would have been very tiny in front of the injustices faced by Native Canadians and women (that includes white ladies). If we had a Sikh theocracy, we would have given women (and LGBTQ+ community) equal rights, from the beginning itself. Inter-racial (or inter-caste) marriages would not have been illegal. Married/Divorced/Single/Non-Virgin women could also form religious Jathas and hold samagams. Women, LGBTQ+ community members and non-Sikhs (including Atheists) could also hold leadership positions in a Sikh theocracy. Freedom of Religion/Conscience would be a guarantee in a Sikh state. Strict dress codes in public would apply to all people, not just women.

Our religion is the best, according to modern standards. There is no doubt about it.

Sikhi in the 15th or 16th century was more advanced (by modern standards) than the Canada of the 1950's.
