Again! I would have to disagree.

This reminds me of a story. A beggar was given a boon to ask for anything he wants. He asked for a car, when asked Why? He said it would be easy for me to reach the temple everyday where I come to beg, if i have a car.

  can't atleast we sikhs grow up and use our amuly bani for something worth? Our baani is capable of providing us with Naam which is a nidhaan of 9 nidh 18 sidh 

If a person wakes up at midnight to do a jaap of such valuable mantra- will he ask for trifles like women?

Apparently we all pray for gold and women almost exclusively lol. 

Many pray a desire is fulfilled, few pray the desire is taken away.

I think it's basically the end of Guru Granth Sahib Ji where the Poet praises Akal for all their prayers that were not answered, as they would have been further trapped in Maya if they had been given what they asked, instead of learning to accept what they needed.

God, the Great Giver, hears the prayer, and summons the minstrel to the Mansion of His Presence.

prabh dhekhadhiaa dhukh bhukh giee ddaaddee kau ma(n)gan chit na aavai ||

Gazing upon God, the minstrel is rid of pain and hunger; he does not think to ask for anything else.

Baani depends on one's avastha. It has different meanings for people at different spiritual level. Did You intentionally not mention the whole shabad? It would have clarified the concept better if you did bro.

Gurbani verses can be analyzed on an individual basis too. Each Tuk has immense Gyaan in it.

Gurparsaad, Daas can look into it, if you want.

It makes sense for it to also refer to Anhad Bani, which is present within our bodies.

As per my limited knowledge and understanding. "Waheguru" said only and only Once, is powerful enough to destroy all the sins, all the paaps. Let alone save lakh. But saying it even "Once" is the challenge.

Yes, with this sakhi's one would need to be a scholar to understand the complete history, language, cultural etc behind these sakhi, it's compilations and understanding of Gurmat to know what they mean.

In terms of "charming the hearts of a women" may be in indication that reciting such mantra can help you find love etc. Like this mantra is cupids arrow. Of course we all look to Gurbani when we seek the boon of material objective such as money, trivial knowledge, love, etc.
