Which Water to use for Amrit Sanchaar?

According to Bhai Daya Singh Rehatnama, Amrit from the Sarovar of Sri Harmandar Saab must be used for Amrit Sanchar (Preparation of Khande da Amrit).

Is this being followed in the West?

I don't think so. They just use normal tap water.

In India, they prefer water from bore, nalka or well.

In the early 2000s and 90s in America especially the Taksali singhs exclusively used water from freshwater streams and well water, even today I think they don't use tap water (in terms of the Taksali amrit sanchar jathas)

I have no idea,

But I can speculate that there is something esoteric about using fresh or "live" water that comes straight from nature and not stagnant in pipes. Water is meant to flow naturally so energetically it could be more beneficial to consume that type of water.
